Worked Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little concerned because we wanted to repay with a metallic gold paint a pole lamp in our living room, and also a vanity table and chair in the bedroom. We were worried about the paint getting where it shouldn't be, particularly with the vanity table. Well, we needn't have worried, because ScotchBlue Painter's Tape worked great! It was easy to apply, and even more important, very easy to take off, and best of all, it kept the spray paint from getting on the attached lamps and the top and drawers. A very nice job was accomplished!

As good as it got at the time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The original painters tape was significantly better than masking tape. There was a tendency for the blue painters tape to allow paint to seep under the edges if it wasn't properly applied. The newer types of Scotch Painters Tape are noticeably better but, in my opinion, Scotch has never put out a truly bad product.

Time savor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this tape many times in painting, I painted stripes and used the paint to keep the lines straight and the paint not to run into the other paint, people have to touch the wall to see if its paint or paper. I always use it to tape round windows, doors and any other object I don't want to paint of get paint on. I'm very happy with this product and don't paint without it.

Didn't work as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not happy at all with the tape. It stuck to my walls and pulled off the primer. Now I have a big mess and a lot of extra work. Plain masking tape worked better. Very disappointed and won't buy again.

Works Great - Easy Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to have won a sample roll of tape from 3M. We have used it several times and especially when we redid our kitchen ceiling. The ScotchBlue held up the plastic we had put up to keep the dust from spreading, and kept the sprayed ceiling lines clean and precise. And removal after the project? Not a problem. Our work was made easier and quality higher because of this tape. Buy it and try it folks, you'll not be disappointed.

Worst I've ever used

Scotch blue tape "sharp lines" brand is horrible. Taking tape off, paint peeled off with tape and or tape ripped, sticking to window trim. Then the paint came off the wall with that remaining piece. I never had this happen this bad before with tape, not even the original smaller blue masking tape

Great for party decorating!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use scotch blue for painting too, but many people might not think about using it for party decorating! It holds decorations tight, with out damaging the surface when you take them down! We also use it for holding signs and posters for our 4-H meetings and other school related projects so that when we have to take them down, there is no damage done to the walls! Thanks for such a great product!

new windows

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In 2012 we had new windows installed and of course it was necessary to touch-up the walls. We applied the painter's tape to the window frames and were able to paint without fear of getting paint on the new windows.

Other household use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, we've painted many paint projects using your tape over the years and always had fantastic results. However, with having Blue Tape around the house, I have come to use it almost daily for another use: labeling food containers for the fridge and freezer. It applies in any size, is easy to write on, peels off easily afterwards, plus doesn't come off in the dishwasher if you forget about it! LOVE IT for this use and have recommended it to friends! Just thought I'd let you know. Thank you!

Needs another color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this product for paining but I also apply it to finish wood surfaces for marking and scribing. It allows me to mark the wood without marring the finish but the color is so dark it's hard to see a pencil line. I'd like to see a cream color option as is used on masking tape.
