[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this product for paining but I also apply it to finish wood surfaces for marking and scribing. It allows me to mark the wood without marring the finish but the color is so dark it's hard to see a pencil line. I'd like to see a cream color option as is used on masking tape.

I have 6 rolls on hand, that's how confident I am with this painter's tape. Worked wonderfully when repainting outside shutters. Nice and wide, protected the siding. Peeled off with out ANY sticky residue, and no bleed through. Didn't have to remove the tape right away, still did the job after 5 days. LOVE it

But for some reason, I hadn't given ScotchBlue tape a try until recently. Let me tell you - In all honesty, this has got to be my new favorite DIY tool. The feel of the product itself is unmatched. The sticky side was strong but didn't leave that nasty residue behind on my hands. That alone will have me coming back for more. This review sounds like an infomercial, but I assure you that I'm speaking honestly! I love it!!

I put it down the side of the trim and not one bit of paint got all my trim. After everything was dry, it pulled right off with no problem.

When cleaning the dreaded shower, sometimes I use it to cover the drain so the cleaning product can sit on the tiles. I don’t worry about it taking off the finish on any item. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

When removed, it does not damage the paint under it. It has enough glue o hold it steady in place, yet the glue doesn't run on the paint its covering it. Scotch took making this tape to art. No other tape made by competition can came close. The only drawback of the Scotch tape I can see is its price. It is more expensive than others. Thank you. Jack.

It's a great tool for hanging items for short term use and mark items long term or temporarily. I like to use Painter's Tape for hanging "chore charts" for my children and lightweight holiday items that will only be up for a week or two. I also use it to mark electronic cables or other items like water bottles or paint containers. It's easy to tear off a piece and write on so I know the computer plug from the monitor plug. The best part is the tape removes easily without leaving any residue. I received a sample for my review.

I used this tape for a bathroom paint job. I taped the ceiling, moldings, and fixtures. Upon removing the tape after the painting was complete, the tape ripped because of the force that needed to be applied to remove the tape. In some spots the tape stuck so tightly that it actually ripped off the top layer of the dry wall. I could not remove the tape around some of the fixtures and had to stick the tape behind them. The time I spent prepping the bathroom would have been better served using a different tape, or simply taking my time edging without using tape.

I left it taped over a two day span in 90 degree heat and it stayed stuck down just as I had put it. The extra width that it has compared to other brands and the fact that it didn’t remove any stain or paint off my porch is fantastic. This will likely be my new go-to brand for all of my painting tape needs.
