Great multipurpose Tape !!

I use this stuff for everything. Its great for its original intent but it can be used on so much more. I have used it on my coffee travel mug and written my name on the tape so co-workers & I don't get them mixed up. I use it at work to put on clients items with their names & phone numbers. The tape comes off when you want it too and does not leave a residue. I have several rolls at home and at work.

Worst I've ever used

Scotch blue tape "sharp lines" brand is horrible. Taking tape off, paint peeled off with tape and or tape ripped, sticking to window trim. Then the paint came off the wall with that remaining piece. I never had this happen this bad before with tape, not even the original smaller blue masking tape

Worked well and leaned lessons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this tape on interior painting projects for a couple of room paintings i have learned that overall this is a great product but has to be applied properly to prevent peeling of tape away from surfaces and allowing paint to get underneath or totally past the tape. Peeling the tape can be an issue also once the job is done but is more of a nuisance than a major issue. Overall the tape performed excellent but make sure you take your time when prepping the surface you are going to be attaching the tape to and you will have clear "sailing" with your next painting project.

More than just a paint masking tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use ScotchBlue Painter's Tape for everything that calls for a tape that bonds well but removes easily. I am an RC airplane enthusiast and use this tape for all phases of the hobby—paint masking (of course), clamping, marking measurements, etc. It leaves no marks or residue on surfaces. At the field, I use it to hold my sailplane wing panels together tightly in flight, as an emergency method for repairs when they're needed, and much more. My only complaint is the fact that it only comes in blue, which I know is a trademark issue. It would be fantastic, however, if it were available in other colors for design and hobby use.

residue on hardwood floor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this tape was used to hold down ram board down on my wood floor while demo went on for a 3 day job. when i removed it from the wood floor,it appears to have left residue on the floor, embedded in the grain. the floor feels smooth to touch, yet the tape got into the grains. how do I remove it?

Upsetting results

I tried this product for the first time and I’m very disappointed with the results. The adhesive was too strong, it peeled off the ceiling paint it was meant to protect. I had used the green tape on the same ceiling to use up what I had and had no issues. Every spot I continued on with the scotch blue ended up with damaged ceiling paint. Not only that it was difficult to remove as it kept ripping.

Mixed results

I'm repainting all the rooms in my house. The tape worked well on my wood molding. I got mixed results when I used it on paint. When I removed the tape from a freshly painted flat ceiling paint everything went fine (paint cured about a week; tape stayed on about 1 week). But when I put the tape on eggshell wall paint the paint came off in 20+ spots. This was a small coat closet. (Paint cured about 3 weeks; tape stayed on about 18 hours. I painted the walls before I did the ceiling.) The tape that pulled off the paint was from a different roll; hopefully this was a fluke. I bought a 3 pack and still have 6 rooms to tape and paint.

BEST EVER PAINTER TAPE---EASY APPLY CLEAN REMOVAL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years, I have painted many houses before flipping the homes (long before it was a thing to do), and always used different masking tapes with questionable results. I tried ScotchBlue about 5 years ago and will never use anything else from then on. It goes on easily (and I sometimes need to reposition the tape if I am being sloppy---and it sticks well); If I delay between subsequent coats of paint and the tape is left on a few days, it still removes easily and cleanly when I want. It holds tight on the edges and leaves a clean line between colors for detail decoration painting. Thank you for a wonderful product. (I use it for all sorts of other craft and packaging projects too with superb results).

This product has multiple uses.

The temporary, but positive sealing of ScotchBlue Painter's tape allows for a variety of uses. Aside from masking painted surfaces, I have used this tape to temporarily seal containers, post signage and secure/clamp parts prior to connecting with permanent adhesives or fasteners. It holds fast, but removes easily without any evidence of adhesive residue or marring of the surface to which it was attached.

It will take me longer to clean up "bleed-through" then it did to paint.

Tape did not work at all! The paint bled through on every part I had taped. I am so out of my mind angry. The time it is going to take to clean it all off is going to take much longer than it did to do the whole painting project. I would have been better off using no tape and cutting in free hand. What a nightmare of a product!
