Good For TRAVEL...

I bought this as a TRAVEL crockpot...small enough to fit into my luggage. Its built like a small shoebox and should travel well. The maximum temp I obtained after 6 hours was 160 F...too low to cook raw meat but fine for everything else. The lid is tricky, but the container is easily removed for cleaning. Overall...a good purchase.

Design Flaws

I got this because the 20 oz Lunch Crock was too small for my lunch. However, based on initial use, I saw at least 2 issues so far: 1. After washing the inner lid, water gets trapped inside. You can hear it swishing around when shaking it. Seems like there's a cavity inside the lid. It's difficult to get it all out. This has the potential to grow mold and bacteria inside the lid. 2. Only the bottom of the warmer has the metal heating element (the sides are just plastic/air gap) so the bottom of the inner container gets much hotter than the sides causing uneven heating of my food. In comparison, the other Lunch Crock warmer has metal all around to spread the heat so the inner container gets evenly heated. Also, mine came with one of the rubber feet missing. Other than the larger capacity, this has been a downgrade from the Lunch Crock. I'm returning this.

3.5 capacity and portable

I bought this cause I work 3rd shift and like to have something warm for lunch. I can plug it into any outlet and can really take it anywhere. The power cord stores right under it when you're done. It has a 3.5 capacity and has stainless steel pan so it's eco friendly.

Great lunchbox warmer

I work in construction and having a hot meal is a God send! Now this is NOT a tradition crock pot cooker. It warms up your food. One setting ON. It takes about 3 hours to warm up a full container and you should stir it at least once. I have done one dish meals and lots of other leftovers in this Crock Pot. I have even done buttered bread on the bottom and hamburger patties on the bread. The bread will get toasty with enough time. For what it is, it works great. It is not a microwave! It's slow and even heat.

Crock-Pot Go is the best thing to take to have a hot lunch at work! It's portable and personal- sized. It has a large capacity holds more the 3.5 cups . It for hot or cold lunches tight seal lid and container easy to transport with out a mess. Has detachable cord. Plugs in to any outlet to keep food hot. Dishwasher safe. Eco friendly use less containers.

Heat doesn't spread evenly

Seems like Crockpot copied those other cheap electric lunchboxes where there's only a heating plate on the very bottom of the warming base instead of lining the entire base's inside with metal like their slow cookers. The bottom of the inner container gets very hot but the sides are barely warm. The heat does not spread well. I guess it's easier to remove the inner lid because the top of the inner container isn't hot at all (ie. pull the lid while pressing on the inner container). However, I'm left with unevenly heated food where the bottom is hot and the top is slightly warm or still cold. Not a worthwhile tradeoff. If I leave it in longer, the bottom food can become very hot and hard. As far as heating goes, the 20 oz Lunch Crock is better but it has too little capacity. Too bad the 24 oz size seems to be discontinued (still smaller than the CrockpotGo but it'd have more even heating).

Uneven Heating

Unlike the smaller round Crockpot lunch warmer, only the bottom of the base has the hot metal so the bottom of the inner container gets very hot. However, the heat doesn't spread very much to the sides of the container causing uneven heating. Depending on the food being put in, I've had the part touching the bottom actually getting dry/burnt while the sides weren't that hot. I also had 1 of the rubber feet missing. They're easy to pull off. Since the CrockpotGo doesn't actually come in a box itself (just slipped through a paper roll with mostly everything including the feet exposed), I'm guessing the feet gets rubbed off/caught on something while being moved around the warehouse before being put into a shipping box.

Wish they just made a bigger Lunch Crock

The uneven heating is noticeable when going from the Lunch Crock to the Crock-Pot Go. I guess people who have never used the Lunch Crock wouldn't know how bad it is.

i got this as a small dip warmer. it works pretty well however there's too many little pieces. it's hard to vacuum seal and lock with one hand when you need one to keep the seal open while you're locking the sides.
