Would not buy again

I found it difficult to use in areas where streaks show. It does not do edges or corners. I found it most effective for the major jobs but found I still needed to do the corners and to redo with another mop in the areas where streaks show. It was great for throw rugs. First time they were ever successfully cleaned, but the mop is expensive for just throw rugs. My husband ordered the rug brush replacement for other rugs. Have not yet tried that.

Not too impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after rescuing a puppy. It doesn't seem to suck up much liquid. I used about half the solution tank and only sucked up about a teaspoon worth into dirty tank. I'm never sure if it actually cleans the carpet or just makes it wet. It clogs up easily as well. I have only tried it on carpet so far. I think I should've went with a regular shampooer.

Hi April. This is because the CrossWave is not a deep cleaner for carpet. It was designed to vacuum and mop sealed hard floors at the same time eliminating the need to sweep and mop separately. Here's a link to helpful how-to videos on how to use your CrossWave: https://support.bissell.com/app/answers/topics/p/67614/c/67098 Please call us if we can help you at 1-800-237-7691.

SHOCKED!!!
5 out of 5 stars review

This is the ONLY machine you will need!!!!

My husband purchased this for me. I was kinda nervous at first because I didn't help pick it out. It is a vacuum and mopping system all in 1. I was skeptical at first and didn't sweep the first time I used it. I was shocked at the dirty water!! I had just mopped my floors 2 days prior to using this for the first time. 2 days later I decided to sweep first then use the Bissell... I was shocked at how dirty the water was even after I had swept!!! I would recommend this product and seriously could not imagine cleaning without it!!! Not sweeping before using this also saves time... I LOVE this product!!!!

Amazing multisurface floor cleaner!!

This product does just what it claims it does. It does a terrific job cleaning the rugs and the floors! It's so much easier than vacuuming and mopping! It was also easy to take apart and clean. I was skeptical until I used it and was so excited that it actually worked! I would highly recommend this cleaner!

Very pleased!

I only used it on some bad spots on my carpet. It did a great job! Then I tried it on the mats from my car. My mistake was that I didn't vacuum the mats first. The Bissell got clogged. My bad. But the mats looked better anyway. It was a little hard to use on the car mats. They kept moving.

Bissell all in one review.

I have a big living room and this little machine works well, however, it is not made for large areas. I’m sorry it is not. If you have a small apartment or studio then yes use it, but for large areas it is a hassle to stop and drain out the small container. Also, it clogs easily and then the water suction doeant operate as well whichc causes water to drain back out on the floor/carpet. If there is hair on the floor/carpet, it will pick up all the hair...and wrap around the brush. Thats a hassle cause youre going to have to cut all the wrapped hair and it gets inbetween the ends of the brush- which there is no way of removing the end parts. Then you have to cut the hair which the brushes get in the way. If you have nice area rugs and its started to loosen this bad boy will suck it up quickly. It will suck up rugs -depending on the type/style- easily. Overally it works well, depending on how much you use the brush, it will need replacing faster then normal usage. Cleaning is easy, but you have to clean it everytime after use due to the water usage. I wished this machine would have heat when cleaning carpets or even the bare floor. The suction valve is a pain to clean out cause its for people with small fingers/hands to get in and get the left over dirt, which causes the suction to not be as good. Also, clean underneath it near the small rubber lining , it will get dirty quick. Another thing is that when the brush is worn out or there is too much hair wrapped around it the water doesnt spread out as easily and doesnt suck it back up as good. Plus, i dont think it is worth the cost of over $200. More like 175. For over $200, there should be an additonal brush and air filter... speaking of air filter, that too is a pain to clean it is small and needs to be replace faster then the brush.

Too difficult to maintain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product in the kitchen daily to clean up after my 11.5 month old son who is a messy eater. And for the rest of the house, weekly. No pets, and we don't wear shoes in the house. It definitely works: vacuums and mops. Instructions are great. Soap doesn't have a strong smell either. The reason why I'm Giving 2 stars is because this product requires continuous maintenance otherwise the amount of liquid it retains, combined with what it sucks up, well, you've got yourself a smelly, moldy mop. There's so many nooks and crannies that you can't truly get in unless you use something like a toothbrush. So there you are, scrubbing a mop with a toothbrush. You also need to clean it frequently, otherwise: it gets foul inside. And I've literally only had it for 35 days! Picture me, scrubbing 4+ pieces of said mop, with a tooth brush, at the very minimum, on a weekly basis. Then you have to clean wherever you cleaned the product, because of all the funk. At this rate, I've spent more time cleaning this, and it has STILL become FILTHY, than using it. I'm sure there are ppl who don't clean it as in Depth or as frequently, but with an infant, I just get grossed out at the thought that id be simply smearing around mold juices because you have to soak and let dry the cleaning brush.

not good

I bought this to do minor cleaning . The cloth roller brush gets filthy and has to be totally cleaned after every use. I left it wet and it was musty and dirty smelling so it has to be cleaned . It is alot of trouble when a brush cleaner would dry and would not have to be cleaned . I don't like this cleaner and would not buy it again.

I really like this product, but it had a burning smell today

It cleans my hard floors and rugs very nicely, spots come up even if they are older ones and the floor drys quickly. However, today after using it on my hard flooring for 30 minutes I noticed a burning smell. I continued for another 10 minutes to finish the job and when I was cleaning the machine up I could tell the power head was hot where the motor is and this was the source of the smell. Also, once I noticed the brush wasn't spinning but as soon as I noticed it, it started up again. What does this mean? It's only three months old. I hope someone can help. Thanks!

Really like this machine!

I've been waiting for an easy to use vacuum mop and this Bissell does it. It's pricy but so far I really like it so far. I wouldn't use it on hard wood but it works great on my luxury vynal. I'd like a little more suction but it beats all the other floor gadgets that I have.
