Of all the floor cleaners that I have used and I have used many;the Crosswave is the best!!! I thought my floors were clean but after seeing how filthy the dirty water tank gets I realized they weren't. The water is brown with hair and sand in it. Once you learn how to set up the Crosswave the cleaning is easy. There are different rollers and solutions for different jobs. I use warm water in the tank to ensure a good clean. Yes it takes a little more effort to clean because of the double pass to wash and dry but you are eliminating vacuuming before the washing of the floors that has to be done with other cleaning systems. The cleaning of the dirty cup is more involved because it is wet dirt which makes it a little harder. I would not pour the dirty water down the sink without straining it. I use a paper towel to catch hair and other debris. Bissell also has a strainer which I am waiting for it to be in stock to eliminate the paper towel strainer. I use the parking tray and run fresh water through it to clean the roller and openings. I also clean the filter with dish detergent otherwise it gets a mildew smell. You must leave out the components to dry after cleanup. My only gripe with the machine is it is very noisy. When I clean my hallway it is so grinding that I had to put on earplugs. Since it cleans great I will put up with the noise. I'm sure they will improve this in time.

Although I am not sure what the upgrade is as I did not have the predecessor, I can say for sure that the all-in-one feature of a wet mop, vacuum cleaner and rug shampooer has enabled me to give my home a cleaning that would have cost hundreds of dollars. The fault with the item is that is does not reach corners so I still have to use my Shark steam mop for those areas. I also think the water bottle is too small. Cleaning a large room requires many refills. Also, while the cleaners smell nice and deodorizes, they are not that strong; multiple sweeps required. All in all, for a non-industrial device the weight and effectiveness is okay for the typical home owner to, over time, give their rugs, carpets, and hard floors a professional cleaning.

I have 2 large boxers & they make my home dirty. I just purchased the CrossWave because it also cleans to rugs. I vacuumed the rug first (with my Dyson) because I did not want to get my new Bissell CrossWave to get clogged with dog hair. The CrossWave cleaned the rug really well. It's easy to use & dried quick too. I was shocked to see the amount of dog hair that it picked up, especially after vacuuming before hand. My rug looks great! I am very impressed! I think I will give my Dyson to Goodwill & purchase the Pet Eraser upright vacuum

I used to vacuum, then use one of the spray + mops with a pad (with vacuuming in between to pick up the non-moppable. I got this, did two floors in less than half the time as normal. Doesn't streak. Easy to use and transition between surfaces.. tile, area rugs, hardwood, carpeted stairs.

I love this Cross Wave. It is so easy to set up and use. It cleans very well. I purchased to use to clean up spills on carpets and other floors. I used it on stains that were there for weeks and removed those as well. works great on all floors. I love using it. Totally worth every penny and makes my cleaning easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is simply the best. I think these people that rated it poorly had some user error. I've owned 3 now. All work wonderfully. I've never owned the cordless. Yes. You have to clean it. Yes. It will clog - just like anything. Easiest clean ever. Great pick up. Makes mopping a breeze. I use it as a dry vacuum. I just change the roller used. I only use it on low rugs or low carpet. I LoVe this thing. Bought one for everyone in the family. Best mop ever. And super easy to use and clean.

Cleans up messes well. Floors dry quickly and look amazing. Nice long cord too. We have three indoor cats and dogs. It picked up all the hair and cleaned up the paw prints and water dish mess. Fast and easy to use, easier to clean! I live not having to use a mop and a pail!

It works well and gives good results on my vinyl and hardwood floors; however, I find the hair collected hard to clean up after use - gets all up in every part of the machine. I do have to sweep first or the machine can't even function properly. The machine is very loud so I can't use if anyone in the house is on the phone or watching television.

I have searched for a long time for something that would save me time with my floors. I have porcelain throughout my home except for the bedrooms. I used to vacuum then mop and move the furniture with each step. With this product it saves me so much time and my floors come out nice and clean every time. The ease of changing the heads makes going from the porcelain to carpet a breeze. I do recommend that the product be thoroughly cleaned as specified each time. I do it every time I use it and it keeps the product nice and new. And its easy to clean it also. Not a huge mess at all. I also purchase the hand held for my furniture. I have cats and it cleans up the cat hair effortlessly. Thank you Bissell for coming up with such a great product.

I bought the CrossWave because I was dissatisfied with my Shark steam mop. I was amazed at how much better the CrossWave cleaned. The floor in my laundry room is textured. I cleaned it weekly with the steam mop but when I used the CrossWave I could actually see where I was cleaning! The only drawback, it is a little difficult to maneuver.
