We have 4 dogs and 2 cats, so I usually vacuum before using this, just to avoid hair clogs, and i clean it throughly after ever use. However, this product was a gift and I raved and raved to all my family and friends about it. Until last night when mid-kitchen, the roller stopped moving. There were no obstructions. I turned it off and back on. Unplugged it, plugged it back in. I tried everything I could find online. Nothing. Best I can tell, the motor responsible for turning the spinner, died. I loved this product, but now I'm just incredibly disappointed.

This little jewel has been needed for a long time for we seniors who still have to do our own housekeeping. No more heavy backbreaking,, clumsy , noisy, uncontrollable, rented equipment to lug around from room to room. AND THE DARN THING EVEN CLEANS ITSELF !! if we could afford to, I would purchase another one to have on hand in case this one lasts so long that this model is discontinued. It really does a good cleaning job and no more wet, soggy carpet Most of all, using this cleaner does not bother my back condition. Whoopie doooo !!

My husband swept our kitchen floor then washed it with a mop. When I came home, the Crosswave had arrived and I wanted to try it out. My husband said I was wasting my time washing the floor again. I couldn't believe the hair and dirt that was picked up with the Crosswave. It was very light and easy to use. My only complaint is that it doesn't work on my large area rugs because they are too thick and the suction is so strong that I can't push the unit.

My daughter had this. It flooded at her house! The mop was covered in mud! Sat in water three days! We rinsed it off and it still worked! Cleaned all the time throughout the house! So easy to use! Amazing! All the neighbors will asking to borrow! They couldn't believe how great the floors looked! I highly recommend for al your cleaning needs! Of it will work in flood debris and mid! It will work on anything! I highly recommend!

Before I got the CrossWave, I would have to vacuum or Swiffer the floors, then wet Swiffer, then wait for them to dry, leaving footprints if I stepped on the floor before it was completely dry. Now, I use the only the CrossWave and the floor is dry quickly and I no longer leave footprints! I love this.

I hate mopping floors! The CrossWave is a great machine for tiled floors. I could not believe the amount of dirt it cleaned up! Some reviewers have stated that the machine doesn't clean all the way to the edge of the floor but the front of the machine does (just like Bissell carpet cleaners). It is very easy to clean, a little gross if you have pet hair mixed in the dirty water. I am amazed at how clean the roller is after use. There is hardly any dirt on the roller, it all goes into the dirty water tank which proves to me that the machine is picking up all of the dirt instead of just spreading it around. There are a couple of spots the machine doesn't reach, such as between a pedestal bathroom sink and the wall, but nothing else reaches either. It isn't quiet, not necessarily quick on heavily trafficked, dog-slobbered floors, but works better than any type of machine I have ever tried on tiled floors! I did have a problem when I first assembled the machine and it wouldn't start - make sure the handle is completely inserted into the machine! :)

Love, love, love it!! Finally there's a 2 in 1 product that works! The Crosswave is lightweight and easy to use. I was hesitant to purchase the Crosswave. I'm a skeptic when it comes down to these types of purchases, as most products rarely perform as advertised. Once my Crosswave arrived, I decided to put it to the test. I cleaned my kitchen floor first with a popular "spray & mop" product. The cleaning pad was somewhat soiled. Then I used the Crosswave on the kitchen floor right after. I was astounded at how much more dirt & grim the Crosswave picked up. Which was evidenced by the brown dirty water I dumped from the holding tank when I was through! My husband even commented on how much brighter and shinier the floor looked. He never notices! Thank you Bissell for a product that performs and makes my life easier.

I bought this item to try to gain some independence after a stroke which affected my left side. In that aspect I give it a 5. Easy to use. My complaint: extremely noisy and loud. Also does nothing for along the wall. Leaves dirt near surfaces. It would be nice to have edge cleaner on both sides. Even though I have gained my independence I am hesitant to use it because of noise.

I had used a widely - advertised steam mop on my new laminate and textured porcelain tile floors and they were not coming clean. The steam mop was leaving behind a dirty film and a build-up in the crevices of the tile. When the steam mop quit working, I remembered the Crosswave infomercial and checked out the impressive reviews. I ordered the Crosswave and have used it weekly for almost a month. Wow! My laminate shines and the porcelain tile is clean...right down into the crevices! I did have to go to several stores to find the cleaning solutions locally. I would suggest buying them when one purchases the Crosswave .

We own a "rental condo" at the beach. Several years ago we took out all the carpeting and installed laminate flooring. We bought "beige" area rugs for living room, Dining area and under all beds. The Bissell Crosswave cleaned the laminate and tile floors great. I was a bit skeptical how it would do on the area rugs. However, it did a really good job. Could not believe how much sand and dirt came out of the carpets. I still had to spot clean some spills (did I mention this is a rental unit) but it did a great job. I was impressed. I used the cleaning solution that came in the box but have since found they make a cleaner just for area rugs. Will definitely try that to see if it makes a difference. Would recommend this to everyone. So glad I bought it.
