I use the Crosswave for weekly cleaning of ceramic and hardwood floors. I would estimate 3X better cleaning in 2/3 the time over vacuuming/old floor machine/damp mop which was my old cleaning method. Hardwood is semi-porous (not a hard-seal finish) in living room, kitchen and dining area. Inevitable food related spills clean up far better than old method, not to mention overall improvement in level of clean.

I use this only on hardwood and thin area rugs, as instructed. When I vacuum with the Crosswave I need to go over the same area multiple times to get an acceptable amount of dirt and dust off the floor. But I don't seem to be able to get all of it. I tried moping and vacuuming up loose dirt at once, which I thought this was designed for. It just moved the dirt around into wet grey streaks. If I use the mop function after vacuuming or sweeping, the same thing happens. You're better off with a regular vacuum and mop separately.

Having two dogs (both non-stop shedders) and one husband I get a lot of dog hair and gritty floors. I used a mop and the Wet-Jet Swiffer. I was shocked and embarrassed with the dirt that the CrossWave picked up. The water was really black. I always thought my tile floors were clean but they were not. I highly recommend this product.

Just used my Crosswave for the 1st time. Ordered it because my expensive "bot" won't do my uneven slate tile kitchen floor without getting stuck 20 times. The "bot" also wouldn't even clean up smudges/pawprints off my bamboo wood floors. The Crosswave performed great on my slate floor & did a super job on the wood. Plus dried quickly so I wasn't waiting around for floors to dry before someone walked across the floor leaving prints. Can't believe the amount of dirt, etc. this picked up & I had just vacuumed.

Take a challenge. Clean your floors with a regular mop then use the crosswave! You will not believe the filth you find in your waste water container! Great for hard floors and area rugs! I clean the whole house without the need to stop and change machines.

Easy to use. Light weight. Can use vinegar & water or a mild cleaner & water. Not a strong solution of either. Doesn't clog in the suctioning tubes like the other brand starting with H used to. Floor dries quickly, unlike our old unit. If any reinstall of various gaskets & filters Weren't perfect - we got minimal suction. Not with this unit.

I even presweep my carpet prior to vacuuming, and I have to stop in the middle of vacuuming to unclog it. Don't recommend for more than hard floors and small area rugs. Also if you have long hair, forget about it. It wraps up in the brush and very difficult to remove due to the cloth like brush it has.

I had been following this product for some time now. I was skeptical about spending that much money on such a small light product, that was suppose to do all kinds of cleaning surfaces. we have several dogs (like 9) running around the main areas of the house. in and out they come, just like kids. So our tile floor can get pretty dirty very quickly. Especially from the doggie door to their beds in the living room. Now that I made the decision to get one, I do not regret it. But of course, after I bought it they came out with the pet version, so I will be investing in one of those.

I love the way it cleans the tile floors but it did not do so well with the area rug. I did not like the way it did the area rug. It got the fibers from the rug caught up in the mechanism for awhile. The machine did not work for a short time and it was a week old. The tile however is now cream colored, not yellow. My electric wheelchair drags in all kinds of dirt in on the wheel creases. When the dirt dries in the tire creases and treads it deposits it on the floor to be ground in and actually darkens the tiles. Plus it stays clean longer because the dirt does not stick to the old dried up dirt that didn't really come up before. I love this machine. I do not love how dirty my brush gets. I clean it but it still stays dirty and hard to the touch. Always make sure the handle is all the way down or your machine will look like it does not work. It will start and not stop. Or it will not start again. It looks like a button issue but it is a handle issue. Take it out and reinsert it. (the handle) THIS REALLY WORKS.

I don't throw a lot of money around on small appliances but the Bissell Crosswave caught my eye. After a major kitchen renovation, and the adoption of two small dogs running in and out from my outdoor terrace in my Brooklyn apartment, well - let's just say my wood floors were in need of some way overdue love. I've tried to scrub them myself, but the combo of workman shoe residue and doggy-doo residue, ugh. Enter the Bissell Crosswave. Putting it together was a snap, read the simple instructions and went to work -- I used the regular head with the wood floor cleaner included in the box. Woah. Let me just say that this machine is humbling when you see the result. which is pretty much immediate. Clean/solution goes out, and it sucks up all the dirt, hair, imbedded everything -- filling the cup with a dark liquid of everything evil on your floor. I did one pass with the solution, and followed up with just plain water - and the dirt just kept coming. My friend came over and asked if I had my floors done. I mean, they are gleaming, not a streak in sight. So. Yeah. Worked on my area rug really well where the dogs play, the Crosswave basically sucked up an entire schnauzer hair sweater that was embedded in that poor rug. LOVE. Easy, fun, effective. Oh, and the whole house smells fresh as can beeeee......
