Best floor cleaner I have ever had!

I purchase the cross wave after seeing a infomercial , I thought what the heck it could be my Christmas and birthday gift all in one, and if I don't like it that will reemberse my money. I received the product faster then I thought I would , took it out of the box and tried it right away .. Not only did it work like the commercial showed it was even better. We have five adults two children and two dogs, so my floors get dirty really fast. The cross wave is the best present ever!

Should Make Lemonade as I always get the lemons.

I don't know how that is possible that after reading a good portion of the customer reviews to date and rating this product almost all 5-Stars, how is it that I order the product and I have issues. The first using the crosswave was on our new home bamboo flooring in the kitchen, foyer, living and dining room. I went through the guide manual slow and even read things over. So I start to clean in the foyer and I am absolutely impressed!!! Easy to use and a beautiful shine. I move into the kitchen next and about 4-5 swaths back and forth it's almost as if an engine was pulled out of the water and the engine began making louder motor noise. Nothing appeared to be any different but then I began to notice I was getting blotches of suds coming out and it didn't matter what I tried using the trigger or not, wouldn't go away. It also seemed to start spitting out little spit wads of rolled up paper or dust / dirt whatever it was so I was going around and picking that all up. Needless to say when I was done, I took everything apart as stated in the manual and cleaned everything really well and let it dry 24 hours. Tonight I reassembled it and gave it to my wife to try out and it worked like a charm with no engine noise and no additional wads being kicked out. However, my wife was not impressed as it left streaks all over on the floor that she went and got another dry mop and did the floor all again. (That wasn't the way that was suppose to go). She feels quite strongly that if I had issues and so did she, for $300+ is a very expensive tool we don't need and I should ship it back. Before I do so, is there anyone that has experienced these situations and corrected them? I really like the machine and the fact that it is dual purpose and so light I would like to keep it if these happenings can be cleaned up. Anyone out there with help???

THank you for the feedback! It sounds like with your first use the water tank was full. When this happens the suction is cut off and the motor can sound louder. Since nothing is being suctioned up dirt/debris could simply be brushed and moved around the floor. As for the steaks we'd need to know more about what kind of flooring it's being used on and if any cleaners or wax had been previously applied. Give us a call and we can look at in more detail, 1-800-237-7691.

Works a few seconds then quits.

I bought this in June. I have used it a total of 4 times on two small area rugs. Today, it runs for a few seconds then stops, I unplug it, plug it back in, it runs for a few seconds more. I have cleaned out the refuse tank, taken apart and put it back together.

Love it!

I was skeptical but it does everything it says it will. All you have to do is follow the directions. If anyone is having problems with this, go read the instructions and make sure you are following them. It is important to do the process to clean the roller now and then, but it is easy and you don't have to take anything apart to do it. I do not sweep first and it picks up everything and leaves the floor squeaky clean. I have a very large dog and not only does he shed but he tracks in all kinds of stuff and it picks up all of it.

I thought I knew how to clean until I bought this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a nurse and my husband is a germ geek we don't wear shoes in the house and I clean every other week. I thought my floors were great! I decided to start 'deep cleaning' and my husband bought me this Bissell, after the first swipe of the kitchen, I am sooo embarrassed! Look at the photo! After getting through the whole house, my floors look amazing and I will not use anything else.

LOVE IT!!!

A friend bought one and recommended it to me as we are both cat owners. She said it was great for picking up when the cats get sick on the floors. As I have hardwood floors tile and are rugs, I thought it would be prefect. First time out I cleaned the tile floors i n my bathrooms. I was surprised the amount of dirt it picked with very little water and cleaning solution. Next big project all the area rugs. LOVE IT!

Best money spent this summer

My neighbor had been trying to convince me to buy a wet vac for quite sometime. She has the purple pet one and I don't any pets so I felt like it was a bit of a steep expense. I got tired of seeing footprints on my flooring, even after using other tools to clean so I finally cracked and bought the Bissell wet vac. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner. It's easy to assemble and operate. At first I wondered if it was doing anything because it's fairly quiet but when I emptied the tank, it was clear that it was working. Be prepared to be disgusted by what's in your floors. I had a moment where it started to spill water but it was because the dirty tank was full. And once I emptied it, the wet vac went right back to work.

I would 1000% not recommended this vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have two dogs. A long hair and a short hair. I vacuum my home about 4 times a week. Our house is definitely lived in. 2 kids 2 dogs and a active family. It takes me about 20 min to vacuum my house and 20 min to clean out the vacuum. The dog hair gets stuck in the tube to were the dirt deposits and then will stop sucking up the hair and dirt in your house. If you have no dogs and no dirt in your house, this might be for you. If you do anything ever and have dogs DO NOT BUY

Hi Rachel. The CrossWave isn't designed for dry vacuuming. Please be sure to use water and BISSELL CrossWave formula and call us if we can help at 1-800-237-7691.

Very Disappointed

I had great expectations for this product. I have all hardwood and linoleum and wanted one machine that would clean both. The cross wave will do that, but the roller gums up when it gets wet if it picks up any dog hair, and seems to just spread the dirt around. Hard to clean, have to wear rubber gloves and have to clean it outside as the reservoir gets "muddy". So sorry I bought it.

Thank you for the feedback, have you tried using the cleaning tray with the machine? That should help to clean the brushes and foot. When you're done cleaning, set the machine on it's tray. Poor a small amount of water in the cleaning tray till it hits the max line, turn the machine on and recline the handle. The machine will self clean the brushes, housing and suction up the water. Hope this helps!

Amazing Machine

Use weekly to clean hardwood floors; shampoo carpets of doggy accidents. Feel more comfortable fostering 4 more dachshunds plus my personal 3 "Weiner" dogs. Sometimes the fosters were rescued from a poor situation and haven't been house trained. It's the foster's job to get the foster's house trained and ready for adoption. This is where the Cross Wave excels! VOLUNTEER CANINE RESCUE...SOMETIMES HEART BREAKING AND SOME TIMES SO REWARDINF. DACHSIE DAD VICE PRESIDENT, DAKOTA DACHSHUND RESCUE.
