Waiting for floors to dry.

Curb your enthusiasm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this product a couple years ago for our tile floors. It doesn't clean the floors. Puts down a lot of water/solution. Little to no suction to remove water from floor. Bought replacement brushes/parts even though the ones that came with it were not damaged or worn. Just trying anything to get it to work. Both me and my wife have tried everything we can think of. Our two housekeepers over that time frame have had no luck. It basically just makes noise, puts down a lot of water and dilutes the spill or dirt on the floor. Doesn't actually remove dirt or clean floor. Just spreads the mess around.

Wow- now I have clean floors

I have used another brand floor cleaner for the past ten years or more--in fact I have been through three. Have also tried steamer. Debated whether to spend the money on the Crosswave, but am I glad I did. What a difference it has made on my tile and grout. Everything smells so clean and looks so much brighter.

very disappointing

I read the other reviews and cant understand why my cleaner does such a poor job. It leaves foamy streaks on the rug and has such poor suction that it does not pick up much of anything. The brush does not rotate so leaves a roll of hair and dust that I have to bend over and pickup. On the wood floors, it does not clean spots left by spilled items, but just glides over them leaving wet places and the sticky spot is still there. The intake also is very small and clogs easily. Overall, I would say this works nothing like I had hoped it would.

Hi Joanne - if the brush is not rotating with the handle reclined there could be something wrong with the machine. Give us a call and we'll help make sure your cleaner is working correctly, 1-800-237-7691.

Best Mop Around

This has been so much easier to keep my floors clean with 6 cats and a dog. Saves a lot time with all your mopping and just for a small mess on hard floors and carpet. Always usng clean water instead of using dirty mop water and having to put your hands in dirty water to wring mop out and then putting dirty water back on the floors. Even with the swifter you keep using the same dirty pad.

**I did not receive this for free or at a discount price. I paid full price plus shipping. This is my experience with the Bissell CrossWave** I like the Bissell Crosswave. I wanted to LOVE it. I do have a minor point or two I'd like to address. It does not get up close to baseboards. At all. It stays a good inch away from the baseboards. We have lots of traffic (5 adults, 2 dogs, 2 cats and lots of dirt tracked in) I don't know how any of our animals have any hair left. They all shed like crazy. We have dark hardwood floors. We also have linoleum in the kitchen, the laundry room and all three bathrooms. My dark hardwood floors need to either be (dry) microfiber mopped everyday, or vacuumed with my Bissell Zing, just to keep all the fur in check. That being said, it's a pain to try to remember to go around the edge of the room first with another tool so you can get whatever little debris might be laying right up against the baseboards. So, if you don't mind doing the baseboards first with something else then you're set. My kitchen floor Where do I begin? There are five adults living in this house and four are capable of cleaning up after themselves and one is not. My kitchen floor looks like maybe a comedy skit takes place nightly in there using food. I don't know if they don't notice they've dropped food or maybe they just think of me as the maid, whatever the reason my kitchen floor looks gross every evening. I'm taking care of my mother and I'm pulling and lifting her a lot, so my back can't really take mopping every single day. I can vacuum just fine, just not so much the mopping. I seen this Bissell CrossWave on t.v. and I got online and read reviews about it. Most of the reviews were positive, with a few people getting lemons or just having a bad experience. I've had the CrossWave for about nine days now. I have to say my floors have never been cleaner. My mom spills everything she gets near that can be spilled, this helps me keep her bedroom floor and the main hallway to the upstairs bedrooms clean as to not be a trip hazard for her. The CrossWave is louder than I anticipated, use during the day when people are awake is fine, but I would not want to use it in a close proximity to say a sleeping baby or adult. I used the Bissell Multi Surface that came with the machine. It was just o.k. but it's such a small bottle that I'm not sure if it's worth buying. When I went to the store (Wal-Mart Corner Market) they did not have any Multi Surface cleaner by Bissell or anyone really. All they had was Bissell Carpet cleaner, so I bought a bottle of Reguvenate floor cleaner. It's in a spray bottle and I use it on my linoleum floors and it works great. I will tell you this. Do not put anything in the clean water tank that bubbles. You'll have white foamy floors. Stay with a machine additive like the Bissell Multi Surface or Carpet cleaner. But not other cleaners. The Rejuvenate is a spray bottle and doesn't go inside of the clean water tank. It's sprayed directly on the floor and sucked up through the dirty water tank. Also, the pic is from the first time I used it. Cleaning the CrossWave is easy and simple. I clean the whole unit after every use. I paid over $250.00 for this, I'm gonna do everything in my power to keep it in great working contition. All in all, I'm glad I got it. I do like the simplicity of the machine and the ease of use. If it could suck up dust right next to the baseboards I'd have given it 5 stars. It's kind of important to clean the whole floor when I clean the floor.

I have already purchased 2 + use one at home

I find this machine so easy to use for a true clean: so why would anyone struggle with a mop & bucket ; to just push around the dirt from one spot to another.. I use to wash my floors on my hands + knees with a bucket of water. But after a back injury that is no longer possible but the crosswave allows me to clean all of my floors . ( tiles : hardwoods +vinal) Daily.

Its good with a new puppy

We have a bunch of animals and quick clean up Johnny on the spot! Not sure how long filter lasts or how expensive to replace, but device clean up and put away is also quick and easy! I put the filter in a shelf to air dry when done. The machine has a cleaning tray. When your done, just put a 1/2 cup water on tray, set device on tray, hold the handle so roller turns and run the clean water through it. Dump the dirty tank, give it a rinse and if you still got cleaner in it shes ready to go next puppy accident or child mess whatever your needs this device is ready! It should be about 159. Instead of 250.

Great Floors

I got this all-in-one because most of my house floors are hardwood. This is the best cleaner. I used it 9 times before giving my opinion. It's easy to use and take apart to clean, every thing snaps right in place. My hardwood floors look fabulous. I really love this machine.

The Most Amazing Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner Ever!

I've never been more thrilled with a multi- surface floor cleaner in my life! The Bissell Crosswave not only vacuums up my kitchen messes, I also love it for cleaning my bedroom and bathroom floors as well. I have tile and natural hardwood, and its cleaning power is amazing! It's very easy to put together, use, and store. I love that it pushes easily, and the handle and cord are just the right length! I have 4 cats, and this cleans up their little messes quickly and effectively! What an efficient all in one floor cleaner where I can finally vacuum and mop all in one! I've recommended this to all of my friends and family, as I don't know how I'd live without it!

I will buy this product again!

I love this product it cleans my hard wood floors and picks up all of my cats hair which can be difficult and I can make the transition to the kitchen tile with no problems, I really like it works just like the advertisement videos, light and good to clean!
