This machine cleans surface dust and dirt/debris very well. If there is dried stuck on dirt or food the machine will sometimes scrub it if I go over it several times. Most times the spot remains & I take my finger and scrub it loose. I don't like having to do that! I wish there was a scrubber button option. I try turning on the carpet mode and sometimes it helps remove the dried on dirt or food. Or make a heavy duty scrubber roller and tell customers to not use it on their wood floors. (just on tile) Features to improve the Crosswave: 1) heated water option, 2) disinfectant solution option or tell customers its okay to use a disinfectant product according to directions on the container. 3) Improve the edge cleaning. The edges next to the baseboard do not get clean. 4) Design a designated place on the machine or tray to store & air dry the dirty water container, filter, & insert. I don't like having to dry them separately to take up space in a different area. I have to gather the parts before I can use the machine.

I purchased this CrossWave several months ago because the house I rent is hardwood floors and tile.I live alone with my best friend a 160 lb. Great Dane/Irish Wolf Hound mix that is 11 years old named Nike.On the morning of May 16 I awoke to him having a seizure, then 4 more severe one's before I could get him to the vet. He was diagnosed with a tumor behind his right eye. Since then he has had trouble controlling his bladder, and the CrossWave and I have been cleaning around the clock. I've been through 3 1/2 32oz. bottles of cleaner since May 19, when he came home. As far as running it through its paces I have done that and more. This machine should be owned by any (or better yet everyone) with hard floors, PERIOD... It works just as good and strong as the day I bought it. There has been absolutely no hiccups at all. I do clean it often, inside and out. To plainly put it I LOVE THIS MACHINE, INFINITE. The only way I would get rid of is if someone was standing in front of me with a new one. Anyway, looking after Nike and having to clean up behind him with the CrossWave has been a life saver! He is only expected to be with me for 1 1/2 months now. I have my own issues also, and he has been the best medicine ever. If there is one negative issue it's that I wish you made an antibacterial or sanitary floor cleaner. This machine really has powerful suction you won't believe. How convenient it could be to vacuum and clean at the same time. However, it does not clean. I have a white floor in my kitchen and repeatedly went over simple ordinary spots, like in front of my sink floor and such, and they did not come off. They easily came off by hand with a cloth... I bought a Bissell steam mop instead. It does the job very well. Not this expensive heavy machine. It simply does not clean. My new Powerfresh steam mop from Bissell cleans very well and is a fraction of the price!!

I'm a 73 yr old gal, I have 3 dogs. 2 yorkies and a long haired chihuahua. Our whole house is laminate and I use a swifter mop to get the hair. I then proceed to use a wet mop. I also have a steam mop, and a Dyson to suck up dog hair and dirt. This is done 2 times a week. If you saw all the mops, brooms, dusters, buckets and all the cleaners in my corner of the garage you would think I bought everything in the store. Well I kinda did. I saw a commercial about the Crosswave and checked out the comments about it. Ha! Ok I had to try it. Bissell ya got this one sooo right. The water from the dirty tank was BLACK. I guess when you use a wet mop you just continue to use nasty water over and over. I'm not the strongest person around and I have a bad back, but this is so easy to push, so no reason to use that excuse. Very easy to put together. I WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE ON MY FLOORS. I kinda hope my floors get dirty again soon so I can use it again.

The first time I used was great. After that, not at all. I vacuum pet hair and nothing is in disposal tank. I wet wash and leaves streaks everywhere and still not much at all in tank. I have cleaned machine. Not convenient at all if I have to take apart completely after each use...although I did that and still no better results. Very disappointed considering what I paid...

This is one of the best cleaning tools I have bought. I saw it advertised and then my sister-in-law got one and raved! I decided to try it. I was a little shocked by the sticker price, but decided to buy it anyway, and give it a go. I am so happy I made that decision. I did my 2 bathrooms, large laundry room, kitchen, dining room, living room, entry way and 6 throw rugs at the same time. This chore usually takes me a couple of days and I put it off for as long as I can. Not anymore. If it even looks like it might be dirty, I do it again, because it feels so good to be walking on really clean floors, and it looks so nice, too. I have vinyl, tile and hardwood floors and it worked great on all of them. Did I say I love my Bissell CrossWave? And, on top of all that - it is so easy to use and store.

I love this Bissell so much the only problem I have I don't know if mine has something wrong with it or what but it don't want to spray everytime I push the button I might have to take it back and get another but other then that I absolutely love it thank you so much Bissell for this mother of to with high traffic in my home it helps so very much.

Buy it, this is the best machine I have ever cleaned with. I have two kiddos, two dogs and two cats. I use it on tile, area rugs and hard wood floors. It leaves everything so clean. I was amazed at the amount of dirt and hair it picked up. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I just used for the first time. It meets or exceeds my expectations in all areas. I have a large, rough surface laminate and this cleaned it perfectly. Vacuum while cleaning is a total plus! And the machine stands by itself unlike many of it's type. Cleanup of the machine was not difficult and it stores easily on the enclosed tray.

I was a little skeptical when I purchased this product but found it to be lightweight, easy to use and great at cleaning my floors, including my area rugs. Amazed that I didn't even have to vacuum first! Looking at the directions for cleaning the machine after use I thought it would be a hassle to do each time. I couldn't have been more wrong! I have never found an appliance so well made and easy to clean. Love this product and as long as the quality doesn't change, would purchase again and definitely recommend to friends and family.
