I find this product takes more time and effort then the previous way I was doing my floors. I am very unhappy with it. The CrossWave does not mop the dirt off my floor the way I expected and it does not vacuum as well as my other Bissell product. It takes me almost double the time to do my floors. The clean up of the machine afterwards is time consuming and I feel it is not worth the effort. If I could return this and get my money back, I would. VERY DISSATISFIED!!! This is the first Bissell product that I have been unhappy with.

I had seen the Crosswave on TV and finally located one in a store, took it home, put it together and plugged it in. Would not start, called Bissell and it was my fault, I had not snapped the handle into place properly. The Tech was so helpful, walked me through the process to remove the handle and then how to snap it into place. Woopie! it started and I tried it out. So far I am really pleased the way it cleans my flooring. I have had a little difficulty finding the solutions locally and emailed Bissell and they are taking care of that. I have recommended this Bissell product to several of my friends. Fantastic, I no longer have to get on my hands and "old" knees to clean my floors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Crosswave 1785 a couple of years ago and use it as both a wet and dry vac for my concrete tile floors. The versatility is nice and overall it does an okay job for a family of two (no fur-babies) in a 2800 sq ft home. We live in the high desert which is known for DUST and regular vacuuming is necessary. The drawback I've experienced is having to stop frequently to remove the tank and brush off the filter because it clogs easily from the accumulated dust. In retrospect I should have purchased a regular vacuum cleaner with a bag, BUT I still like this wet vac feature for my arthritic fingers that can no longer maneuver a heavy wet mop.

I bought this about a month ago and I have used it four times so far. It's great, cause unlike a regular vacuum it picks up everything on tile/wood flooring. I am able to vacuum and clean the floor all at once, which is great cause I don't have carpet on my 1st floor.

It just cut my cleaning routine in half and it handles my English Bulldog, Beatrice, hair like a complete champ!! Buy it.....don't wait.....go do it now!!

I give this product 4 stars only because to re-purchase the cleaning formula is expensive. This machine has replaced my broom, floor swifter and mop. I love how you can just whip this out and do a dual deep cleaning. Very lightweight with a easy break down and cleaning process. I was skeptical of its claims especially with its price tag. But when I got it I immediately put it to test in the kitchen and on my hardwood and it didn't disappoint. I just wish the cleaning formula wasn't so expensive for the amount you have to use with the cleanings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very finicky laminate floors. Every cleaning product or mop I've ever used has left a hazy film and steaks. The only way I could get my floors clean was scrubbing on my hands and knees, it was awful. I decided it couldn't hurt to try this, and WOW! It leaves my laminate floors nice and clean, no streaks or funky product film left behind. I'm able to quickly clean over 2,000 sq ft of laminate on my main floor with minimal effort. I recommend this product to everyone I know! Some tips for my fellow laminate flooring people, I use very warm water in the cleaning solution. Also, after I've done my wet pass through I do several pass throughs with no additional water to help dry faster, and I work in small areas at a time. I get perfect results every time. As a busy mom with a toddler and 2 dogs, this helps me keep my home clean in much less time without breaking my back. I absolutely love this thing!

I have Tile and Flagstone in most of my house and live with a very "hairy" fur baby (cat).. Makes a hard/messy job so easy. No lifting to empty endless water buckets and wring out mops. Love this little Jewel. My sister was here over the weekend and did a demo for her. She is ordering one also. Very happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this after every meal with my kids. It has been life changing. If you have a Labrador retriever, you probably don't need this device, but my dog is a picky eater. When you feed kids, wet and sticky stuff ends up on the floor. Also rice, shredded cheese, partly soggy crackers and lots of other stuff that is a pain to sweep or vacuum. This machine is wonderful and my floors are so much cleaner. I do a quick run around the table and kitchen after every meal and I am loving not have small particulates stuck to my feet all the time! I takes me about 5-7 minutes to clean out the machine at the end of the day. I do not clean it after every use. I feel really good about how well this cleans up. I would definitely use it on my area rug. I tried a small section when I first got it and it feels nice to have an option to clean that more frequently without getting out my big carpet cleaner. I would not get rid of my regular mop though. I like using my microfiber spin mop which gets the top of the trim and around the edges of the room a bit better than this does.

I really want to like this cleaner but after having it for only two weeks it's developed a horrible mildew smell. I took it apart and washed all the parts in the dishwasher, and used some Zep odor remover in the tank for the next run, but the mildew smell is still there.
