Need replacement parts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked great until it didn't. There are little squeegees that get messed up if you floor tiles aren't perfectly even. But no replacement for them. In fact, except for brushes and filters there are no parts.
Hi Frankie. You have a warranty on your CrossWave and we're always happy to help at support.bissell.com.
Unfortunately No Match for my Ceramic Tile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to love this so much, and I waited a long time to purchase something like it, and unfortunately I'm not all too impressed. While it cleans the basic smears off the ceramic tile in our kitchen, it's absolutely no match for the gunk that gets stuck on the floor day in and day out between 4 kids and two pets. I have a junk credit card I keep on hand to scrape things off the floor while I'm cleaning with the CrossWave because otherwise it won't pick stuck-on substances up. I've let it sit with the spin brush directly over spots for over a minute, gently "scrubbing" it back and forth, and it's made no difference. So unfortunately, the CrossWave isn't meeting my cleaning needs in the one area I really needed it. It would be good for other types of floors and I've used it on our hard woods as well without issue. It's not a terrible machine; it just can't come close to cleaning the way I need it to. It's also worth noting that cleaning the tank is pretty disgusting and there's no great place to do it. Everything you vacuum up goes into the same tank as the water, so if you suck up a non-food item, you either have to pick it out of the dirty water and then dispose of the rest in a drain, or jeopardize your drains. It gets especially gross when there's hair in the tank as well.

Wow - amazing machine!!!
I just purchased this recently and I love it - I have four cats and I cook a lot and i have ceramic tile in my kitchen. I get spills from cooking and food droppings from the cat dishes and cat hair from them running around. This machine worked like a dream!!! I am amazed that i don't have to sweep first and then mop or get on my hands and knees!! Good job Bissell!!!!
excellent machine.
i would buy this cleaner again. i was very impressed on how easy it is to use and how much cleaner my floors were. better than using a mop any day.love the way it picks up and cleans at the same time. if you want a machine that saves you time and cleans well this is perfect . saves alot of time and extra work.love it.
Money well-spent!
I was skeptical. Now I'm a believer. This machine cleans floors so nicely! I have used it on my travertine marble floors and am so happy with the results. I don't have a problem, like some other reviewers, of the machine leaving too much water behind. It's a simple matter to control - keep your finger on the trigger for one direction and release it as you come back over the same swath. I've told both daughters to try it out on their wood floors as I feel they would have the same great results. It also cleans area rugs quite nicely. I even used it on my carpeted family room and it did pretty good at cleaning surface dirt. The suction is sufficient to do a satisfactory job of vacuuming the carpet also, but I would not recommend getting the carpets too wet. Just a quick surface clean and not a deep shampooing. The only drawback, as others have also mentioned, is the short cord that is also anchored very low on the unit - I had to move the cord to numerous outlets to get to the whole house and even had to move it twice it one room that is rather large. However, the solution to the cord being anchored so low on the machine is to clip it into place on the upper handle - there is a little notch like thing there and I believe that is what it is for. The cleaning solutions for this unit do a good job but they are non-descript in scent, even though they have scent labels. I confess, I did miss the powerful clean after-smell when the job was done as say, when a person uses a floor detergent such as the Lavender or Lemon Pine Sol. But, the Bissell cleaners do a good cleaning job. The dirty water is testament to that! Be prepared to be grossed out by your dirty water when you empty the canister. Also, I wasn't sure when it was time to refill the clean water and cleaning solution tank after reading some reviews but I soon figured out it makes a clicking that you can actual feel on your trigger finger. First, it lets you know the tank is getting very low. Do buy!
SAVED MY ACHING BACK
I live in a condo with OLD tile floors and mops/vacuums just didn't get the job done and was so painful on my back. Our parking area is blacktop and sand blows around plus, I have a white long hair cat. This machine even gets in the grout. I took it to my dad's and used on his wood floor and it shined like new and pulled the water up so it didn't sit in the seams. It would be perfect if it got under furniture and up to baseboards.
Perfect, but be aware of the machines capability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a bissell consumer! I was so excited to receive our crosswave. The expected delivery was supposed to be in a Mon but we got it the Thur prior!! First we live in Montana with 7 dogs (Aussies so they shed) and 5 horses and the most bipolar weather. I was previously using a steam mop on our laminate flooring. This entailed sweeping, steaming in small patches to only follow with a dry rag so there was no streaking. A lot of work!!! I am a barefoot type of gal so a good clean is important to me. Our package arrived and within minutes we were ready to start. But my suggestion is to read what exactly the machine is expected to do because I have read some reviews that blow my mind. This IS NOT a vaccum to use on your wall to wall carpets. We decided to just go with it and didn't sweep and just started cleaning. Our floor was very dirty due to the melting snow so we had straw, hay, dog hair, and mud. Pros: I really liked the fact this is the only thing we have found that picks up the straw, the floor dried quickly and without streaks (and no having to use a dry rag!!) No this machine does not go clear to the wall,,, but c'mon use some common sense, you don't see the brush hanging out of the sides of the machine do you?? And lastly even as dirty as the floor was, I may have had to go over select spots a couple of times but I did not have to do a full second cleaning. I did empty the machine 1/2 way through more for curiosity than it needing it. I can see why pet hair can clog it, but ince again let's use some common sense. I was shocked how dirty our floor was! Cons: this machine is loud, the light only shines when using the spray- really not user friendly in that one as the directions say to go over a spot again without spray if you feel it didn't suck up enough of the solution, and the machine is heavy. Wouldn't really be feasible for an older individual if they have a lot of flooring. All in all this machine saves me so much time and cleaned so well!
Im sold!
I'm a believer...after reading all the "I love it!!" reviews I was a bit skeptical that these were all paid for reviews. But I went for it and brought this product home. My kitchen is pretty small but a high traffic area. you got the cat food spills, syrup, fruit juice spills from the kids and lazy single mom who's too overworked to want to clean up every spill that happens around the clock...but guess what you have to do it. after reading the brief manual and following instructions on water/formula levels, I was done cleaning in less amount of time than it took to read all the paperwork it came with! I enjoy the simplicity of it and how it actually dries right before my eyes. it cleaned up the dried syrup with about three passes and everything else with one motion as long as you keep the roller primed and wet. clean up wasn't so bad, but that's my reasoning for four stars out of five. you have to take apart the filter and dirty water tank as well as the roller and wipe down any extra mess that was caught in the chamber (for me it was wet cat hair...gross...)but awesome that my floor was left so clean with no leftover grime! I have tile throughout my house and laminate in the rooms so I've skipped the entire sweeping portion of clean up and went straight in with this wet vac and I have to say its holding up and working time saving miracles for me. definitely worth the coin if you follow the instructions.
Great little machine.
We recently took out all the carpeting and put in hardwood floors. I have a mop with a sprayed built in, but after a while the floors got too dirty and we would keep getting a film quickly, no matter how often we cleaned the pad. So I bought this Bissell crosswave in the hoes that it would do a good cleaning job once every week or two and thus allow the spot mop to work better between times. Well, if does all that and it also shined up the floor nicely, including some areas that had been getting dull over the years. I am very happy with the purchase so far. It is also easy to take apart and clean after usage. It is all that I wanted it to be. Only thing better would be if it were robotic...
My floors have finally met their match!
Received as a Christmas gift - but I really asked for it so my husband would use it since he does most of the floors! With 2 dogs and indoor/outdoor living, our floors take a real beating and show everything! Today I pulled it out and tried it for myself in the bathrooms. That it was lightweight and super maneuverable was great as I was cleaning around toilets in tight spaces. It was easy to disassemble and clean when I was done. I actually enjoyed doing floors!
