I cannot say enough good things about the Bissell CrossWave. I am the mother of 4 adults and Nana to 15 grandchildren and a former Hoover FloorMat owner. I purchased the Bissell CrossWave a week ago and I love this floor cleaner, it is hands down a much nicer cleaner than the FloorMate. I can clean our 1800 sqft of hard wood and tile floors with only 1 refill of the solution dispenser (no refill required if I skip the laundry room and hubby's hobby room). The CrossWave cleans much better than the FloorMate, uses less cleaning solution that the Floor Mate, dries the floor much better than the FloorMate and is much easier to clean than the FloorMate. While I was initially hesitant to purchase the CrossWave due to the price being double that of the FloorMate, and after reading a review about what a nightmare the CrossWave was to clean... I am very happy I did purchase this awesome cleaning machine. Whoever left the review about what a nightmare the CrossWave is to clean has never cleaned the FloorMate.. LOL that is the nightmare. I LOVE this product!! I have tile and hardwood floors with 4 kids, 4 dogs and 4 cats!! This machine is a vacuum and cleaner all in one! The suction is wonderful and the cleanup is a breeze!! The only down falls are 1.) It does not come close to cleaning any edge and it leaves streaks... BUT my floors feel AMAZING under our feet! We live coastal so sand is a big problem as well and it cleans it up with no problem. I've searched for a all in one product and I finally found one! I just wish it would not leave a 3 inch gap of dirty floors next to the walls.. if they fix that and somehow get a formula that does not streak this would be good!!

I am so glad I took the plunge and purchased this. I saw the infomercial and had to get it. We have hard floors and carpet and the Bissell CrossWave All-in-One Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vac comes in handy! It allows me to clean all of our floors super fast! I prefer to use chemicals. I tried this with just white vinegar and hot water and didn't see any issues. I guess that helps to sanitize. However, if there are stains, I definitely recommend a carpet/floor cleaner (there are green-friendly options).

I have two dogs. I never knew how much the shed. I also have a very messy teenager with me. I use this every day, several times a day. The only drawback for me is it is impossible for me to wait 24 hours for the filters and rollers to dry. So, my solution is to buy spares.

I have had my Bissell Cross Over machine for about 2 months, Can't imagine being without it. It is the best thing since sliced bread, lol I have a very bad back and This machine has made my floor cleaning a much easier Job. I recommend it to everyone.

Bought this product at Sam's after watching an infomercial on TV. I have used a steam mop for years on tile floors & thought this might be an upgrade. Not so much. First problem is the cord which comes out of the bottom of the machine so it is always in the way, even difficult to hold the cord to keep from tripping over it. The unit does not clean as well or as quickly as the steam mop & will not get in close to the wall edges. By design it leaves almost a 2 inch strip untouched along the baseboards. The cleaning took more effort than a steam mop & required multiple passes to remove even light stains. Then there is the clean up afterwards, which is enough to make you think twice about using this thing again. This is being returned to Sam's Club & back to my old steam mop.

I purchased this machine when my Hoover Floormate died and I love it. It cleans my tile floors very well and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that like all machines, it doesn't get right up to the baseboards, it is about an inch short of that. That is a bummer for me as I live on the beach and have pets that track in sand, but other than that I am in love with this machine.

I have 2 rescue pups who scare easily. That means they have a lot of accidents on my area rugs. Bought this cleaner and was impressed with the quality of cleaning. Then I thought, "Let's see how it works on my tile floor!" I couldn't wait to see if it would clean my grout. When I turned on the hard floor setting, nothing. No power at all. I saw that the instruction manual said to disassemble the unit. Took out the cleaning bottle, the dirty container, the rotating brush, cleaned thoroughly (a blog suggested maybe it was clogged). Nothing still. Decided to take back for an exchange, but first, let's check blogs again. One lady in NJ said that something wouldn't work for her and she took the handle out and reinserted it, that it wasn't a switch issue but a handle issue. Aha! That worked. I think Bissell needs to add that commentary to their manuals - to remove the handle and put back in to make sure there is appropriate contact. Also, they need to be a little more descriptive in how to disassemble areas. Didn't want to strong arm anything, but, that's how it would come apart. At this juncture, I haven't cleaned the tile, but I have high hopes.

This vacuum is amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who feels their hard floors are dirty. I was actually thinking of making a youtube video to show how well this thing works....I just don't know how to do that. We have a German Shepherd that loves playing outside, but we have grass as well. The recent rain makes her leave muddy paw prints on the floor so bad that I was avoiding having people over. Plus she sheds quite a bit. This has made everything change. The videos I have viewed don't show it picking up pet hair but it most definitely does. The cleaner it comes with might be good for some floors but I have tile that looks like hardwood and it left streaks/smudges on mine so I found just good old water is fine. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Bought this little gem today. Came home and cleaned the living area and kitchen. I was amazed and a little sickened by the color of the water in the dirty water tank. I clean my floors every week but it looked they hadn't been cleaned in years judging by the dirty water. Super easy to use and to clean the unit after use. Run don't walk to the store to buy this floor cleaner. You won't believe how much dirt it picks ups. I cannot comment on the rug cleaner since I have not tried that yet.
