I got the crosswave a couple months ago for mothers day. Its not all its cracked up to be. It is terrible at corners, which is ok, I can handle that. But it leaves streaks. After cleaning with it, I went over my floors with a white rag, it left a disgusting mess. I clean it thoroughly after each use and have no qualms about that. For what it cost, not worth it. Oh and the solution is pricey.

Every year, we do a deep cleaning of our ceramic tile floors, hand scrubbing the tile and grout. We did this less than a week ago and it looked as it did when new. The next day I saw a YouTube video about the Bissell Crosswave. We found one at Sam's and bought it. Even though the floors looked perfectly clean, they were not. A photo is attached of the dirty water container from the Bissell. We cleaned our area rugs with the same fantastic results. The wood floors will be our next project.

I have hardwood floors throughout my entire downstairs which is approx $1500-1700 sq feet. I hated doing it with the Bona push and spray. It worked but was just that a lot of work. Thus why I was excited to buy this machine. As is stated in the title JUST make sure you purchase the hardwood roller it is a seperate purchase. The one that comes with the machine is probably good for area rugs vinyl and tile but on hardwoods it leaves behind film which leaves behind a haze which leaves behind prints. But once I purchased the hardwood surface roller which is a snap to charge out BOOM my life was made easy when it came to cleaning the floor. They were clean shiny and left no residue. Perfect 5 star machine way better than the Hoover Floor Mate!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the Bissell CrossWave. I am the mother of 4 adults and Nana to 15 grandchildren and a former Hoover FloorMat owner. I purchased the Bissell CrossWave a week ago and I love this floor cleaner, it is hands down a much nicer cleaner than the FloorMate. I can clean our 1800 sqft of hard wood and tile floors with only 1 refill of the solution dispenser (no refill required if I skip the laundry room and hubby's hobby room). The CrossWave cleans much better than the FloorMate, uses less cleaning solution that the Floor Mate, dries the floor much better than the FloorMate and is much easier to clean than the FloorMate. While I was initially hesitant to purchase the CrossWave due to the price being double that of the FloorMate, and after reading a review about what a nightmare the CrossWave was to clean... I am very happy I did purchase this awesome cleaning machine. Whoever left the review about what a nightmare the CrossWave is to clean has never cleaned the FloorMate.. LOL that is the nightmare. I also have a CrossWave, I have sealed birch wood floors, and at 1st was pretty happy with how it worked. However, then I realized that due to the velocity of the roller while dispensing cleaning fluid, that it was forcing too much between the crevices of my wood flooring and now in several areas the prefinished polyurethane finish is beginning to separate from the wood. I'm quite careful with how I use it, my father was a German mechanical engineer & designed things to last forever & work perfectly the 1st time. The tank which contains the dirt, hair, or pet urine is not that easy to clean, you must get your hands into way to much dirty water taking the screen out and having to rinse down the sink. Yes, you can dump the rest into your toilet, but must put more water into it to rinse out all the dirt and hair. They need a better way to clean these parts. Also, then, you must remove the roller and wash out in the sink by hand and remove any hair & dirt. The worst part to clean is the vacuum head where all the dirt runs up through to the tank. They do not include any kind of a cleaning brush to clean out the ports and crevices there, and if you don't want it to smell like something died the next few days you better do a thorough cleaning of the sweeper after each use, and never forget to clean the tank out of dirty water or it will make you throw up after a day or 2. Another reason they provided a plastic tray for it, so the roller doesn't stink up your floor if you don't clean it right away or cleaner leak. It does a fair job on very low pile large area rugs, but can leave a bit to wet so be careful to go over it many times if on top of any wood flooring. It does not do well on tile flooring grout lines as it seems brush doesn't allow for variances in height well enough, nor the small indentations in many tile floors. A steam mop may do better there however, needs a suction to work well and not push dirt. I does a fairly good job if there is nothing stuck on wood floors, or takes forever for roller to remove it. It is best used for light dirt & dust. I wanted to give a detailed & accurate description of the issues it does have. Mine was a gift, so it wasn't returned. I'm sure it works great for small jobs and other uses. It does start making louder noise if used a long time, maybe trying to overheat, especially if ports start getting clogged with pet hair. Yucky to clean out!!!!

I'm owner/operator of a professional residential cleaning service so I'm always looking for the next best products to drop. There was so much hype about the Bissell Crosswave, I couldn't wait to try it! Several Facebook friends have posted and raved about it, recommending it to everyone. I bought it. Instructions and assembly were easy. I used it at a client's home with hardwood floors throughout and 1 area rug. Within the first few minutes, I knew this product was NOT at all great. It vacuums fairly well (but not great!), and the mop is comparable to a Swiffer Wetjet. Each mop line showed dry areas left behind. No way could it remove stuck-on food or stains. After 1 use, the mop roller had wet hair and debris stuck to it. I would NOT recommend this product! For that price, you can get a Shark vacuum and an O'cedar spin mop and you'll have professional quality products that work flawlessly everytime!

I have had my Bissell Cross Over machine for about 2 months, Can't imagine being without it. It is the best thing since sliced bread, lol I have a very bad back and This machine has made my floor cleaning a much easier Job. I recommend it to everyone.

We have had ours for about a week and have cleaned three timers with it. I really is a true time-saver. It is very easy to clean, but I do recommend you read through the short instruction book. To the user who is having hard time getting the brush dry after 24 hours and worries about mold, the instructions talk about just running the vacuum in the cleaning/storage tray without trigger to release the cleaner. It cleans, fluffs, and dries the brush quickly so you do not have to rinse it out with your hands in the sink. Also, I like to add a cap full of bleach in each hard floor cleaning tank solution (obviously I would not do this when cleaning my rugs). That will also kill any mold, yeast, or bacteria from forming on the brush, machine, and my floors. My marble floor bathroom already smells a lot better, even after the door staying close. It's a great machine!

My Hoover Floormate died, I had to replace it but I didn't want another Floormate, they die and die fast. I saw a TV commercial for the Crosswave, I read all the reviews not only on Walmart's website but others and the reviews were glowing,now I had to have one. Here's where I give the Crosswave a 1 rating, finding one to buy, all the stores in my area within a 30 mile radius were sold out, constantly including Walmart. It took me a month and a half to finally get one and it was WORTH THE WAIT! I finally got the last one that was delivered to Walmart yesterday, That morning they got 4 in and I got the last one. Sold out again! The Crosswave cleans way better than the Hoover Floormate. WAY BETTER! It cleaned a really bad tile floor to where it looked brand new, the same room had a very dirty area rug, it cleaned that spotless. My bathroom tile floor shines like the top of the Chrysler building! So if you want one, better get out there and fast. It was sold out in two counties in New Jersey for months. But I finally got mine! NO YOU CAN'T BORROW IT!

I was very excited to get the Bissell CrossWave. I should have saved my enthusiasm. The first won I received didn't work so it had to go back. Than I got a new one and it did work if you could call it that. Once the brush gets wet forget about it cleaning anything. It left huge streaks of mud across my floor. I swept the floor before I used the machine but that did not help. This machine is a total waste of money,
