I don’t have a pic of the “before” cookies but here is a pic of the after product with the crumbled up sugar cookies, fresh fruit and a cream cheese cake filling I have used several of the Betty Crocker cookie mixes as shortcuts both for cookies and as a base for other desserts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a staple in my house, easy instructions, simple to make, and a lot of fun especially if you have small children or grandchildren. You can make drop or press cookies, delicious as is or decorate with sprinkles or candy.

I've used this product for several years now and never had an issue. Always worked perfectly. This year I bought the 21 oz pkg which indicates that the butter needs to be melted, which I did. I could tell right away that disaster was at hand. As other users say, the dough was crumbly and wouldn't blend. BTW, this website calls for softened butter, not melted as the package indicates. So which is it? The package I bought is larger than previous years and I was wondering if the butter and egg amounts needed to be increased. Bottom line: I made the cookies but it took a lot of extra effort. They taste OK and are OK for decorating, but they're not what I was accustomed to based on past experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good and quick. Can add springs or frosting to take up a notch. Can also cut into shapes or add chocolate chips or other flavorings. This is a good basic to start with when you don't have much time.

I make these throughout the year for various occasions without a problem. The most recent, I notices the directions changed to using a stick of softened butter to using a stick of *melted* butter. I always follow directions so I melted th butter. Big mistake. The dough was so unmanageable and the end product was awful. I'll go back to using just softened butter
