I just bought 2 packages of the Sugar Cookie mix and am wanting to make cut out cookies, my question is...one package says to add 1 tablespoon flour and 1/3 cup butter and the other package says to add 3 tablespoons flour and 1/2 cup of butter, which is correct?

I absolutely LOVE this cookie mix. All its missing is a little grated orange peel to taste like the old days. I have never had a problem whether I made cut outs, drop cookies or bars. YOU NEVER MELT THE BUTTER! For any cookie I'm aware of...it even says so on the package-*Softened (Not melted) It totally changes the texture of the dough

When I saw the recent reviews I was a bit hesitant to open the package I had. But these were good! I did add in vanilla and lemon extract, just a splash, I didn’t measure because why not. I cooked at 350 for 12 min and used parchment paper. No issue with texture and didn’t have any problems with the dough coming together. Five stars for easy cookies that I can flavor with whatever I feel like.

I read the reviews after one bag was a total flop… so, thought I had this figured out to attempt a second bag. Added 1/2 cup flour and two eggs, mixed then added an additional 1/2 cup flour without any change. What in the world do I do for the third bag? We are celebrating Christmas late this year due to weather…. But the annual Christmas cookie decorating part of our family get together will be ruined if I can not get this third bag to work…. Please help me with advice……

What on earth! I have always made my cut out cookies from scratch but this year, I am so weak that I thought I would try making from a mix as a friend had made some for me earlier this year. I followed the directions, 3 tbls flour to the mix, 1 stick butter melted and 1 egg. What a horrible mess. They wouldn't roll out so I took to the internet. Now Im seeing that BC says to use a completely different set of ingredient measurements and 1/3 c softened butter. BC, you have been doing this a LONG time, what on earth happened? I have placed my wet mess of dough in the fridge to hopefully get it to set up enough to roll it out. We, the people who keep you in business deserve better that this. 

I've been using this product for years and everyone has always loved the cutout sugar cookies I make for a few holidays a year. I tried this new bag at Christmas not realizing the recipe had changed but it sure did. Cookies came out rock hard which has never happened and they did not soften after a day or two like they normally do. Disappointing. Might as well make from scratch. These used to be the best.

It’s very easy to make and always comes out the perfect consistency. It would be nice if they offered a bigger size bag for bigger batches. Overall this is our favorite mix to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These sugar cookies were very easy to make and taste very good. In fact, all the cookies from this brand are very good. The cookies are very well worth the price. I would recommend them, especially if your children are into baking.

I have used this mix successfully many times in the past. Because of past success we made several batches yesterday ( planned to give to family) but when we tasted them, decided we could not eat them and certainly not give them out. They have a super weird taste. Almost perfume like if that makes sense. Very very disappointing.
