Seems sturdy enough, was well packed and undamaged. It's nice you can use hanging or regular files.

Good little file cabinet. Delivered in perfect condition. Locks and holds items as should. Needed to secure my work at home papers.

Have only had a week, but they seem very nice. The packaging was great, lots of protection and no scratches or dings like the ones in the store. Shipping was over a week to get, but it was resonable considering the cabinet weights almost 50 lbs. The fact that the file cabinet has full height drawers so you don't need hangers for the file hooks was a big plus, and it has locking drawers. I will be getting some more!!

This is a good quality, heavy duty metal filing cabinet. The sides are high, so hanging file folders just slip right in, no need to buy an extra frame. It also has a key lock, which is nice. It is a little more expensive than others you can find online, but they are not professional grade like this. This will last forever. I wish my local club had the black in stock (they only had tan) and then I would not have had to pay shipping.

This file cabinet is everything that was described on the website. It is sturdy, does not need any special additions for hanging folders, has a catch slide for regular folders. The lock works nice, not one of those push in ones that always seems to get pushed in when you can't find the key. It looks nice. It works nice, the drawers slide smoothly. The delivery was faster than expected and faster than the website said it would be, it arrived 4 days early, with no damage. The price beats everyone, everywhere. You can't go wrong with this file cabinet.

The file cabinet was (like others have mentioned) very well packed, and arrived via FedEx on the last day of their estimated shipping window. It does have ball bearings slides. The drawers themselves are stamped and riveted together, so I do not think you could disassemble one. I thought the lock was defective, but it just took one hard twist to make it work properly. The lock is oriented so that gravity will keep the lock unlocked, and you will twist the key 180 degrees to make it lock. Because of the resistance, I thought the key only went 90 degrees initially... Also, there are some file folder guides, but in my cabinet, I received two of them in the bottom drawer and none in the top drawer. I'm not sure if I'm missing two of them, or if one should have been in the top. These guides are also riveted/stamped, so you cannot disassemble them and put them correctly. I had to bend one of the arms on a guide, so that I could remove it from the bottom drawer and put it in the top drawer (and slightly bend it back out again). It would have been a better experience if the lock wasn't so initially stiff that I thought I was going to break it, and if the drawer guides were properly distributed to the way one might assume they would be. The drawers appear to be able to hold some weight, and the smooth action and tall sides will be nice. Incidentally, when I tried to contact customer service for Hirsh Industries, I was led into a push this, push that automated maze, which ultimately decided no one was available for customer support and promptly hung up on me. It was at this time, I decided to "force" the lock, and it began working as it should've from the beginning. Overall, this was a reasonably good product for a reasonably good price (not the office store cheapos, and not the professional grade cabinets that are several hundred dollars a piece). I expect light to moderate use to be fine for this cabinet, in a light/medium office or a home office situation.

These file cabinets showed up on time and in excellent condition. Exactly what I was expecting.
