Definitely slept on this system, ironic coming from an era of DSI xl and the Wii, Nintendo was always solid. So I got an early birthday gift and was humbled. I considered selling my PS5 because I haven’t played it at all since I got it. Besides the battery drama which is true, it’s a choice you won’t regret.

just got the switch to today and it works really nice I originally on the switch OLED I do like the magnetic side controllers that they have with it I have yet to try the mouse function though but I know they make some mini games that you can get used out of that with it. I was able to transfer all my games super easily and all of my backup memory came in the only thing I don't like is how I bought a 120 GB SD card for the original switch, it was Nintendo brand but it will not work on the new switch to now they want you to buy a whole another memory card which is stupid when you've already spent money on one my biggest thing that I don't like is that the games are just key cards now and even know if what that's supposed to mean but the actual game is like not even in the cartridge everything's just digital and I hate how everything is just becoming completely digital now and you don't own any physical copies of anything but hopefully besides all that they start making more games for it the system itself runs really smooth I do wish the battery was a little bit longer but it is a really nice system if you don't already have a switch

Feels nice in the hands, decently more powerful than the original Switch lineup; unfortunately the main caveats are: -The Joycon 2 still use industry standard carbon resistive thumbsticks, so they will potentially suffer from the exact same stick drift issues (some people supposedly already have stick drift problems). -The Switch 2's built-in screen looks good, even for an LCD panel, when viewing still images; but to cram an 8-inch 120hz panel into that somewhat slim 450$ price point, the screen has poor pixel response times (leading to ghosting in most and noticeable latency in some games). Overall a good system for the price rivaling the PS4 or Xbone/XBSS in terms of power and visuals.

I will say it shouldn't be as much as it is, as it doesn't compare to consoles similarly priced power-wise. Overall great for portability, and first-party games are usually pretty fun. I would recommend getting a game with it though, as there aren't many good free games on there.

Amazing console. The hype is not for nothing. Very versatile and great to have on the go. Very easy to connect at home as well and it works fantastic for family fun including the little ones as well with classic games such as Mario Kart and such. Tennis games and sports are particularly fun as well and can be played with 2 or more people. I was very surprised to see the new FC26 (soccer game) being playable for two people with the little controllers the switch comes with. When plugged into the tv the graphics are actually very impressive and easy to connect. Just needs the HDMI into the dock and I recommend connecting the power cable into the dock as well to make things easier and make sure it doesn’t run out of battery in the middle of the games. Controller is also magnetic so very easy to put in and out of the console. The music of the games can be output through headphones for when the family is sleeping as well. Worth the money!

This was a big purchase for me. It's quite expensive, and I hope to use it for at least as many years as I did its predecessor. So far, it's absolutely wonderful. Very easy and intuitive to set up, and superior in every way (visual, tactile, etc) to the old model.

I’ve been using the Nintendo Switch 2 for a little while now, and overall I’m really impressed with it. Nintendo kept everything people loved about the original Switch but made it feel faster, smoother, and more modern. The first thing I noticed was the performance. Games load much quicker, and everything runs more smoothly, especially larger games that struggled on the older Switch. The graphics also look much sharper both handheld and docked on TV. The bigger screen is a huge improvement. Colors look great, the display is bright, and handheld gaming feels much more immersive now. The new Joy-Cons also feel sturdier and more comfortable to hold compared to the originals. Another thing I love is that most of my old Switch games still work, and some even perform better on the new system. That made upgrading feel worth it because I didn’t have to start my game library over. The only downsides for me are the battery life and the price. The battery drains faster when playing demanding games, and accessories are pretty expensive. I also wish there were more exclusive launch games right now. Still, despite those issues, I think the Nintendo Switch 2 is an excellent console. It feels like the Switch finally reached its full potential. If you already love Nintendo games or play handheld often, I definitely recommend it.

Not worth the purchase, don’t switch from OG Nintendo switch to the 2. It barely connects to my tv on the dock without having to unplug everything from the dock and plug it back in — directions from Nintendo support A let down for my son and my whole family Started failing within a month of purchase Not comparable to the original switch that lasted us for years. Don’t waste the money.

I love how big the screen is compared to switch 1 and the graphics are so good too and i really like the storage space too only thing is that battery dies fast in handheld mode i guess from a system update but i enjoy everything else about it so far.

Upgrade from the original switch. Nice new features including a built-in chat system. Only complaints would be the price and the lack of switch2 games out currently. They do help this by updating a lot of the older titles to benefit from the switch2 hardware.
