Great for any type of celebration. My son absolutely loved it and started to cry because he wanted one so bad. If you have an extra 500 and some dollars spending it on your child, there’s nothing wrong with that.

Epic Upgrade

Pricey, but absolutely worth it for the performance upgrade. I only bought Switch 1 two years ago, but the large amount of added frames per second on titles like Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, ($10 switch 2 upgrade required) as well as lag free menu perusal, makes this a no brainer. If you are on the fence: Breath of the Wild runs SO much smoother. It runs smoother at 3440x1440p than Switch 1 does at 1080p. Add HDR and the colors really pop, especially with a q-oled screen. Magnetic Joycons feel much more primo. Everything feels snappy and responsive. For those who are wondering, the process of transferring your data from your Switch 1 to the Switch 2 is very straightforward. I dont remember every step off the top of my head, but the last step is you bring your switch 1 next to your switch 2 and it transfers the data wirelessly. Just need to be connected to the internet and follow the prompts. Mostly pretty easy peasy. BIG added hardware grunt. I remember reading a blurb where Nintendo claimed it was 10x faster. I dunno how accurate that is, but im willing to believe in practice its most of the way to that claim. Also, for those who have some of the newer 1440p or 4k alienware monitors, go into your joystick OSD menus and turn on 'Console Mode' its the only way to activate resolutions higher than 1080p. Then swap over to your S2, and go to system settings, display, and turn it to 1440p or 4k. For those running any 1440p or 4k monitor that isnt alienware, i imagine there's a similiar process. Google it. Comes with several times more storage space than the Switch 1. Can add another SD card later if you require more. What else...has a number of Switch 2 titles for an added subscription, you can get NES library, SNES library, N64 library, Gamecube (Windwaker!), Wii (i think i saw skyward sword on there) and Switch 1 library. Not sure about Wii U. All in all, expensive, but a serious step up over its predecessor. 10/10

The box the Nintendo switch2 came in had some dents, so I was a little concerned about that. Besides that, it looks brand new as it should be, because I'm purchasing it new. There is no damage to the product, and It's working great. The walmart team was also very efficient. I did not have to wait long to pick up my product. Everything was smooth.

Nice upgrade, a little pricey though

Wish they weren’t so expensive. My son is happy though soooo… it was worth it to buy. Just trying to figure out where to find the extended warranty papers purchased with it. Also, several of the features are major updates from switch 1. The joy cons popping off are great! The fact that it needs a special memory card because it won’t accept the old on, stinks.

Switch 2 was good for ME, but maybe wait for YOU!

With not that many switch 2 exclusive games it’s not worth buying it if you already own a switch. If you don’t have either one than start with Switch 2 for graphics and gameplay is better. Donkey Kong is the top pick for games and Mario Kart for local multiplayer experience but online it can be tricky

An amazing upgrade to something already amazing

Bought the switch 2 in June but held off opening because I wasn’t ready for the transition yet coming from a lite but I just opened it today waiting for Mario Galaxy and it’s amazing…a total upgrade across the board and still light and comfortable in the hands just an amazing product and can’t wait to use it more going forward

More like a "Switch Pro" versus a second model up.

It's a lovely system, but as my title shows the system j more. Like a "pro" model. Similar to the PS4 and the PS4 Pro upgrades. Still a lot of fun to be had ofd the games, but i still (for now) find myself playing mkat games on my lite than this model.

Love the Nintendo Switch 2

This is a fantastic item from Nintendo! I have purchased Nintendo items in the past -- from the Gameboy Advance to the Wii and now to the Switch 2. The ability to play in 3 modes is great; and having access to games on older consoles (even some originally owned by conpetitors such as Sega Genesis) through the Expansion Packs is mindblowing!!! I am going to enjoy my Switch 2 for years!

Best present ever!

Best Christmas gift ever! My kids love it! My 13-year old and 18-year old were so excited and full of joy when they saw it. Surprisingly, my wife and I love it too. NS2 it’s not just for kids it’s for the whole family. We are planning to buy two more controls so we 4 can play.

Nintendo scores big w/their latest home console.

The latest handheld gaming system/home console from Nintendo is a bit larger than the original Switch and the Switch OLED. There's no OLED screen rhis time around but, since I will be using it mostly on a 4K TV, it's not a deal breaker. The Joy Con controllers are a bit on the small side for larger/adult hands and take a bit of getting used to if you're used to playing with PS or XBox controllers so, I've ordered the Nintendo Switch 2 Pronronaddress this issue. There are plenty of great new games like Donkey Kong Bananaza and Cyberpunk 2077 with some great titles coming soon. The Nintendo Online subscription gives you plenty of older games from across the various Nintendo platforms to reacquaint yourself with or try for the first time. Backwards compatibility with the original Switch adds even more games to the library. It's pretty easy to set up with an HDMI cable for a big screen experience. You have to remove both controllers to select the one I want to use which is a bit odd. Haven't spent much time with it yet but, will be settling in for some serious gaming once the holidays are over. I recommend this to anyone looking for a new gaming console there's lots of new, family friendly and fun, classic games to choose from to make this a worthwhile purchase for anyone. I can't see anyone disappointed with getting their hands on the Nintendo Switch 2.
