There is no other like it

The x ice tire offers great stopping qualities on slippery roads and superb traction in snow & ice. On slippery roads the handling is greatly improved over other tires with very little drift. Each new x- ice tire that comes out is better the the previous. I will always be a good advertisement for Michelin products!

tires

I purchased this set of tires for one of my four Dodge Grand Caravans. I have Micheline tires on all of them both winter and summer tires. I am very satisfied with the performance of all of them. I have used Micheline tires since 2010 on all my vans.

Nice tires but not performance oriented enough

Tires ride smoothly and quietly. Was hoping to replace my Michelin Primacy with another set of Michelin Primacy. Old tires had plenty of tread but were getting old (summer only car with low mileage). The Defender do not corner like the Primacy. The Primacy were more performance oriented and you can tell the difference. Unfortunately the Primacy in my tire size is no longer available (225R60/16). I do not drive like a race car driver but when I made a U-turn, you could tell they didn't grip the same. Also when making a left turn with and advanced light, sometimes I can tell my tires are slipping (accelerate a little too hard for the tires). I wish the Primacy were still available in my size.

Tires that get me through anything.

The tires I bought have given me the confidence I need to get to work in the worst conditions. I am able to handle the wettest heavy snow you can imagine as well as slush and ice-packed snow. I have people counting on me and can't let them down. I needed a tire that enabled me to get there and I found it. I drive a very small front wheel drive car and if these can get me through they can get any car through! I also can't believe I still got 27 MPH, which is only 5 MPH off my regular. Thank you!!!!!!

The Michelin Ice X tires ...

The Michelin Ice X tires on my front wheel drive Vibe have given me complete confidence in any adverse weather conditions. Driving in last year's blizzard was amazingly easy. No slippage in deep or hard-packed snow or on ice.Treadwear has been outstanding even with year round use. I am going to get some for my truck. I have recommended them to all of friends and family here in western Pa.

Effective in the Snow

These tires came recommended by a few different people. They've been very effective in the snow. Unfortunately we've had a lot of ice this year and they haven't been shining everyday. They were labeled as low rolling resistance. I've actually had a winter MPG decrease (3%) and no noise reduction, but there's a lot of other factors so don't put much stock in that statement. Overall, I'm happy with these tires.

Stability

These tires changed the entire feel of our mini-van. Three years ago we tried to improve the ride when bought another brand. After getting an alignment and front-end work, the car still pulled left and right. With the new Michelins, it no longer pulls, is much quieter, and holds the road regardless of weather. We've decided to keep the car, and always use Michelins.

Great Tires

I only use Michelin Tires on both of my vehicles, and have for many years, Michelin Defenders in the summer & Michelin X-Ice in the winter. I have always received great service, traction & ride, and highly recommend Michelin Tires to my Family & anyone who has asked.,

Driving in northern New ...

Driving in northern New England can be treacherous in the Winter with all the ice, black ice and snow. Over the years I have had many snow/ice tires and this one is superior in both ice and snow conditions and even in the Spring during mud season. These tires are great.

X-ice

Quiet, smooth, fantastic tire that I use year round. I know I shouldn't but I get 38 to 40 mpg in the summer with this snow tire! Who could ask for more? I find no problem with hydro plainsong in the rain. Commute 35miles one way to work and will buy this tire again, oh yes, it has never left me stranded in the snow or ice either.
