These tires ride very well. This is my second winter using them. They also wear well and give very good traction. I am a Salesman on the road every day and these tires have been great. I have had no problems on icy and snowy and wet roads. I have driven by many other cars that went off the road and I still kept going.

Tire Squirm

I bought these tires a month ago and I am not happy with them. They have constant tire squirm at highway speeds. I constantly have to make microadjustments in my steering wheel to keep straight. I dont believe its an alignment issue as it wasnt there before the new tires.

Perfect!

I maintain four family cars and seem to buy tires regularly as cars come and go. these tires were purchased so that my son could drive his sports car in the winter. since the car is rear wheel drive with plenty of torque I needed a reliable snow tire. The X ice fit the bill perfectly. every metric has been surpassed. they are quiet, good performers, stable on corners and even an attractive design (for a snow tire). I have had them for one season so I cannot rate the wear cycle.

After skidding in the ...

After skidding in the snow and ice in tires that were OK, I decided to buy a set of Michelin tires later that night. I did so, and was able to navigate through the worst snow and ice Washington State had in many, many years. I was able to work (I drive foster children to see their relatives, for a living - in my own car) and their parents were glad to see them arrive safely. My mother always told me to get Michelin tires, saying they are the best, and that you can tell a lot about a person from the kind of shoes they wear : ) Tires, too.

Great winter peace of mind

These tires are awesome and completely transformed the handling of my Honda Fit in the winter. I went from not being able to stop well to stopping on a dime. I also can stop in the middle of going up the biggest hill and start right up again with no wheelspin.

Now what?

I've used Michelin tires for many years and never had a problem. I have a vibration problem with my Kia (1007 Sportage) and every thing, and I mean everything, has been checked and the last resort was to put 4 new tires on. I put on the same tire that were on the car, Michelins of course. The current tires were near aging out even though they were only about half worn out. So new tires—but the same vibration. Now what do I do. The car has been gone over twice by two different tech, both fully certified and both are stumped. Now what. The tires are great though.

Michelin's snow and ice ...

Michelin's snow and ice tires provided excellent traction in all conditions. The bonus was that there was no deterioration in fuel economy or handling as I had experienced with other snow tires. Also, there was no noticable increase in road noise as compared to all season tires.

Quite ride

I bought these tires because a friend of mine recently got some. I am extremely pleased with the quiet ride that these tires provide. I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform during next winter season to see how they handle the snow and icy roads.

2WD Minivan Turned Into AWD

I have always used All Season's until I missed a family Christmas party a few years back. I have a wheelchair converted minivan to motor my son around. Christmas Eve a few years back it snowed several inches in a 2-hour period. We packed the van and put extra weight in back and attempted a 7 mile drive to my daughter's home... Long story short, we never made it on the Radials. I heard that snow tires possibly could have made a difference so a few days after Christmas I bought a set of 4 X-Ice tires. I could hardly believe the difference it made. Driving uphill on snow-covered roads was an effortless process. I now have a mounted set of Michelin Destiny Tires and the a mounted set of Michelin X-Ice. Last Christmas Eve it snowed 4 inches just prior to our annual party. With four of us in the same van we drove through the snow with great ease. We even rode up a steep unshoveled driveway without any slippage. X-Ice will transform any car and give you confidence that you can drive to most any destination on a snowy tarmac.

Best tire I've ever owned

My 2014 Subaru came with Continental tires that only endured for a little over 15k miles. I immediately put on the Defender tire in 2016. I have been going strong for over eight years and close to 90k miles on them. I'm just about due for my next set and you can rest assured that I'll be getting some Defender 2's.
