looks like there's a new sheriff in town

Thought I had one of the best trucks on th market and would have too. It wirked as hard as I did if not harder, did all I asked and more. If I was tired or to tired to drive some how we both made it home. Well winter was comming fast and old girl needed a set of shoes before sniw and had heard how snow tires made all the difference in the world. Well I alredy had one of the best trucks, could tires help? NAW. Well I talked to my tire store customer care and went with the X ice just to make sure I wasnt missing anything. Well I now am the proud owner of the single best truck in these united states. Should name a hi way after it. Winter is no mach for this truck with those tires on it. No sir.

After skidding in the ...

After skidding in the snow and ice in tires that were OK, I decided to buy a set of Michelin tires later that night. I did so, and was able to navigate through the worst snow and ice Washington State had in many, many years. I was able to work (I drive foster children to see their relatives, for a living - in my own car) and their parents were glad to see them arrive safely. My mother always told me to get Michelin tires, saying they are the best, and that you can tell a lot about a person from the kind of shoes they wear : ) Tires, too.

Re-shoe for worn out soles

Great Tire so far. Our 2023 GMC Acadia SLT factory Primacy Tour A/S tires were good but were getting low on tread depth at 40,000 miles. With all the home reconstruction going on in Treasure Island, FL, due to last year's double whammy of a 3' of tidal surge and then Hurricane winds two weeks later, the "balding " tires were getting prone to debris/construction material nails, shards, etc.

Defender 2 - Hydro-Plane Defeaters

I had just bought a new set of Defender 2 tires and was on a ride to test them out. My previous tire was the OEM Michelin Primacy Tour A/S with approximately 48,000 miles on a 20 Chevy Blazer RS. The ride was very nice, firm but comfortable. I was, so far, impressed with the handling on a damp road and enjoying the new sneaks. As fate would have it, it began raining buckets and this I thought would separate the wheat from the chaff. I was driving in the granny lane, on a limited access highway at the posted speed limit of 65mph.when a brief but sudden loss of control event occurred called Hydro-Planning.. All of a sudden the car hit a fairly large gutter puddle that caused the vehicle to swerve dramatically. It was a frightening 2 or 3 seconds while feeling powerless other than going for the ride. Steering into the hydro-plane, and to my relief, the Defender 2s quickly took hold of the road and straightened me right out. Having put on about 30 miles on the new Defenders, they really showed me what they are capable of, and I am glad to have them. On this rainy day, the Defender 2s performed excellently.

I'm very pleased with these tires.

I drive about 50 miles one way to work and live on an unmaintained dirt road. the first tires I had on my car were Michelins. tried two other brands and went back to Michelins. my road gets real icy, before I couldn't get up it; no problem now or when I first got my car. they are a little pricy but well worth it. I will stay with Michelins.

Outstanding truck tires for AT4

I put the Defender LTX M/S 2 on my truck because I drive a lot of highway miles but still need some decent off road traction periodically. These tires have performed exceptionally well - dry pavement, wet, or snow covered, they get the job done! They ride well for a 10 ply tire and increased my mpg as well. Been a Michelin guy for 50 years and these Defender series further cemented why I ride on their tires.

They Work

We live in the Black Hills of SD and thus have to contend with a lot of snow/ice during most winters. I wanted a winter tire that gives excellent traction on snow covered icy roads yet has good dry condition characteristics. These Michelin X-Ice tires are exactly what my wife needed on her car.

Continuous Thaw / Freeze cycle

These are the best studless tires rated for ice that we've ever owned. Out her in Spokane, Washington, we get a continuous thaw / freeze cycle throughout the winter. It seems like every morning we are fighting icy roads. My wife HATES the icy roads. So, I tried to hook her up with the best available winter vehicle that I could. Solution Vehicle - An All-wheel drive (Subaru Outback) Tires - Michelin X-ice on their own rims. Mission accomplished. My wife drives with confidence now. Our 1.5 mile trip up/down a steep hill, is no hill for this woman. Finally, a tire worthy of my wife's expectations.

Good tire so far

These tires worked well this past winter and after 8000 miles show very little wear. There was never much snow to test them out in so I can't rate that. On the ice they got me home fine but I feel a studded tire would have been better, however because these are on an everyday commuter car studs dont make sense.

"Just like bolting on 4 wheel drive"

I drive what most would consider the worst possible vehicle for snow and ice conditions having rear wheel drive and no positraction. I had good results with my "Defenders" for all season use but I decided to try out a winter specific tire and could not be happier. It is amazing how effective these are for traction, control and stopping in severe situations. After driving mine, my son put a set on his Cadillac CTS with the same great results.
