I am a RN who does work at two hospitals fifty two miles apart, in Michigan. This last snow blizzard streets were not plowed. Start time is 7 AM. I went through the snow no problem and did pick up co workers. I did not miss a single day or event because there was snow/ice.. Best tires ever.

Installed new Defender 2 mid April 2024. Very pleased with the handling when driving are 2015 Elantra. Notice a big difference in wet conditions. Like driving a different vehicle. Very pleased with the performance of this top notch tires. Definitely good value for the buck. Highly recommended.

When I was on a road trip it started to rain and out of nowhere I skidded around several times as if nothing had happened. Luckily I didn't cause an accident. Since then I realized that it's very easy to skid when it's wet. Now I'm afraid of having an accident when the pavement is wet.

During winter months I drive to work on a road that can become dangerously icy. Before purchasing my new X-ice Xi2 tires I always used studded tires during the months that they were allowed. Bought as a replacement for Primacy AS. The Primacy were down to 4/32 by only 33K miles. The defender 2's were louder and not nearly as good in the wet. Also not a fan of the sidewall near the tread. Probably looks good on an SUV, but no so much on a sedan. A bit rugged looking. Exchanged for the Primacy AS again... i'll deal with them not lasting as long for a smoother quieter ride and more confidence in the wet.

Reviewed everything I could to make sure mom is set up on something safe. Car O.E tires where Continental Contipro Touring. And they were wonderful but seems like these Michelin Defender 2 tired are going to take the Cake! Especially on the roads she's on. They gotta handle well in rain and snow definitely Michelin does both well. Hope the 80k hold up. The Tred is very thick and built well. Good for dirt roads as well. Very responsive on hiway. Thanks Michelin, for keeping mom safe!

Having grown up and living in Colorado for 50+ years I have been through more snow tires than I care to recall... This past winter I equipped my rear wheel drive convertible with Michelin X-ice tires and have never been so completely satisfied with any tire. On dry pavement they handle like a dream but where they really shine is in slushy, icy conditions that have left me feeling helpless with any other tire... Oh, One thing more.... Thank You!

The tires I bought have given me the confidence I need to get to work in the worst conditions. I am able to handle the wettest heavy snow you can imagine as well as slush and ice-packed snow. I have people counting on me and can't let them down. I needed a tire that enabled me to get there and I found it. I drive a very small front wheel drive car and if these can get me through they can get any car through! I also can't believe I still got 27 MPH, which is only 5 MPH off my regular. Thank you!!!!!!

My 2014 Subaru came with Continental tires that only endured for a little over 15k miles. I immediately put on the Defender tire in 2016. I have been going strong for over eight years and close to 90k miles on them. I'm just about due for my next set and you can rest assured that I'll be getting some Defender 2's.
