3 weeks before our first Colorado major winter storm, i had a set of Defender2 tires put on. Our first storm, over 5 days, was over 40" of snow, which then turned into several inches of ice. I have a very steep driveway and with my previous tires, I slid at every inch of snow we received (I have a 2023 KIA Sorento 4WD). Not only was I able to drive up my driveway without any trouble, but when I came back, I easily drove down the driveway without the ABS kicking in. These tires are amazing. Please thank the engineers. I have been driving for 64 years and have never had an experience so spectacular. Thank you all!

I have a job that requires me to work regardless of the weather. Doesn't matter if we have ice storms or snow I have to get to work. And no I'm not a postal worker. In the 34 years that I've worked here I've had quite a few sets of so called stud-less ice tires. The only set that I have 100% confidence in are my Michelin X-Ice. So much so that I have a set for my wife's car and she now has the confidence to get off our hill and into work when she needs too. We'll be buying a new car soon and the first purchase for it will be a set of X-Ice.

I just bought all four tires, (as I had expired dry almost cracking tires around the rim - didn't know tires did this - I was experiencing a rough ride on the freeways, bouncy/shaky like I was out of alignment, but the steering will didn't shake/move) so I was afraid of a blowout. I drove off, and drove the 405/5 freeways and it made such a big smooth difference!

X ICE X2 Used on a 2003 Pontiac Vibe to increase winter and foul weather traction. Traction improved greatly and drove confidently long distances through several blizzards and severe winter storms. A bit noisy but to be expected with an aggressive winter tire. Mpg dropped slightly but wore evenly, had good balance and I would expect them to reach 40,000 miles.

I purchased my Michelin x-ice tires for my wifes car becasue it gets terrible traction. Even though these tires are really a "winter" tire, we run then all year round for the added traction and excellant wet weather traction. I knew that doing this would mean they won't last long, but we have been very pleasantly suprised at how well they are holding up. I have Michelin made tires on both my vehicles and am extremely happy with them.

I am a dedicated Michelin fan. I think they are the absolute BEST tires in the world. I bought a set of Michelin Defender 2 tires for my 2020 GMC Terrain, but unfortunately, I was rear-ended on the freeway with less than 1,000 miles on the new tires. The car was declared "Total Loss" by the insurance company. Now, I have to wear down the tires on my replacement car's off-brand tires so I can put Michelins on it. Only then, will I feel safe and satisfied. Thank you for caring enough to make the best product money can buy!

Reviewed everything I could to make sure mom is set up on something safe. Car O.E tires where Continental Contipro Touring. And they were wonderful but seems like these Michelin Defender 2 tired are going to take the Cake! Especially on the roads she's on. They gotta handle well in rain and snow definitely Michelin does both well. Hope the 80k hold up. The Tred is very thick and built well. Good for dirt roads as well. Very responsive on hiway. Thanks Michelin, for keeping mom safe!

This coming winter will be the third year I will use them. Absolutely no requirement for studs if you own these tires. Excellent in very cold, icy and snowy conditions. Never a worry when traveling to local mountains to enjoy all winter sports. Tires are used on our 2008 Honda CRV AWD and the tires have performed flawlessly.

These tires ride very well. This is my second winter using them. They also wear well and give very good traction. I am a Salesman on the road every day and these tires have been great. I have had no problems on icy and snowy and wet roads. I have driven by many other cars that went off the road and I still kept going.

Got 4 new defender 2 tires 2 days ago thinking they would be quiter than previous tires. Paid much more than previous tires, but NO NO NO, these tires are not quiter. If anything, these tires are more noisier. Guess I was suckered into paying much more for tires that are not as quite as my previous ones.
