I absolutely LOVE my Michelin tires.

I bought my Michelin Ice tires for Wisconsin winter driving and now would not be without them. They provide me with the security I was looking for. My commute is only about 25 miles but it can be white knuckling sometimes. With my Michelin Ice tires I travel much more comfortably than without them. I would recommend them to anyone but especially to the gals who might be uncomfortable with winter driving.

After skidding in the ...

After skidding in the snow and ice in tires that were OK, I decided to buy a set of Michelin tires later that night. I did so, and was able to navigate through the worst snow and ice Washington State had in many, many years. I was able to work (I drive foster children to see their relatives, for a living - in my own car) and their parents were glad to see them arrive safely. My mother always told me to get Michelin tires, saying they are the best, and that you can tell a lot about a person from the kind of shoes they wear : ) Tires, too.

Better Than Goodyear Assurance Max Life

I originally purchased a set of Goodyear Assurance Max Life tires in September. After putting 8,000 miles on them, I just wasn't happy with them, especially after the first heavy rain. America's tire bought the Good Years back and sold me this set of Michelins. I could feel the difference almost immediately. After almost a week on the tires, they are very quiet and smooth, even on rough roads. Have not driven in the rain with them yet, but I am sure they will be excellent. Very happy with these tires.

I HAD MICHELIN DEFENDER 2 FOR NINE YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS SO I REPLACED THEM WITH THE SAME BRAND. I was pleased with the longevity and the ride. I live where there's lots of snow, but it doesn't stop me from driving. THE DEFENDER 2 tires plowed through without slipping or spinning I'm pleased with my purchase.

These tires ride very well. This is my second winter using them. They also wear well and give very good traction. I am a Salesman on the road every day and these tires have been great. I have had no problems on icy and snowy and wet roads. I have driven by many other cars that went off the road and I still kept going.

2nd set of Defenders--excellent tires

We replaced the Michelin Latitude tires on our 2010 Acura MDX with Defender LTX tires last year and have been pleased with the ride and performance. We just purchased a second set of Defender 2 tires for our 2013 Acura TSX wagon to replace a set of IronMan tires that were failing at 18k miles. What a difference! The improvement in ride quality and fuel economy is noticeable. I drive over 400 miles a week and these tires are rated for 80k miles--I expect to have them for a long time.

Only Michelin Will Do on My Forester!

I purchased my Michelin Defender 2 radials as replacements for my unacceptable OEM tires when we purchased our new 2024 Subaru Forester, insisting that the dealer replace those tires with the much-superior Defender 2s. It caused a bit of a stir but they went along with it and we couldn't have been happier since then. Between the Ice-X 3s that we roll with during the winter months, our Forester is "Michelin-covered" year-round and for many years to come!

Great for starting & stopping in snow!

I drive approximately 15 miles to work (each direction) through city streets, starting and stopping about every 15-20 blocks. These tires not only can stop in snow (real Wisconsin snow) but can also start from a stop light in a few inches of snow as well. Most streets in Wisconsin are well plowed and salted, but I definitely spent time on some that weren't, and these tires always helped with the starting and stopping. I had NO issues driving last winter on my X-Ice tires, and since my regular tires are high performance, it was a nice cushy ride as well. On one occasion, three cars around me crashed into each other while driving on ice, I was able to stop on a dime and avoid being the fourth car in that accident. I'd say in that one occasion, they paid for themselves.

Best Tires on the Market

This is the 2nd or 3rd set I've bought for my 2005 Rav4. We live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and drive on icy mountain roads frequently in the winter. I have not had a slipping problem with these tires. I watched a Nissan Pathfinder slide off the road in front of me on Hwy 88 just after the Cal-Trans had pulled him out of the snow bank. I drove over the same road without incident. I wouldn't use anything else for winter driving.

Sticks to the Road Like a Tongue to Ice

I put these snow tires on my Accord, and I have to say, they are the best I've found yet. I'm admittedly a bit of a fast driver despite the weather and I always feel secure and firmly attached to the road with my Xice Xi2's. Almost like a tongue to a metal pole on an icy February morning. My only complaint is that they sometimes take a second to grip when starting from a stop. And the gas mileage isn't what you'd get with all seasons, but it's a more than fair trade for the added grip and piece of mind.
