There is no other like it

The x ice tire offers great stopping qualities on slippery roads and superb traction in snow & ice. On slippery roads the handling is greatly improved over other tires with very little drift. Each new x- ice tire that comes out is better the the previous. I will always be a good advertisement for Michelin products!

Worth the Extra Money!

When we bought our new 2024 Subaru Forester it came with unacceptable tires which I insisted that the dealer replace with a set of Michelin Defenders. I had researched all tire offerings for this vehicle and these proved to be the highest-rated and best value and they have not disappointed me in any way. Premium rubber for a competitive price is always a great value. That your life and the lives of your family are at stake makes the decision an easy one. As we also roll on Michelin X-Ice 3s in the winter means that we will be covered for years to come!

Not sure I'd drive on anything else now.

I don't know where to start with these tires. Such an improvement over my original tires, I went through one season, about 12k miles, and couldn't ride on the, any longer. They just wouldn't stop or hold the road I wet weather. They looked like new. These Michelin tires stop in the wet weather, and don't spin upon leaving a stoplight. In the winter, when you get the slippery conditions with just a small amount of snow, the kind where you don't know if it's black ice or just wet? These tires excel! They grip, stop, turn and track like you would hope. I've owned pickup's most of my entire adult life, these are my favorite tires I've ever purchased. I've owned all the major brands as well. They are quiet and ride nice, (for a truck tire). They are not aggressive but provide good traction in the winter months and are stable on slippery conditions. I like that the tire sipes go all the way through as well.

Wow, what a great set of Defender2 tires for snow and ice!

3 weeks before our first Colorado major winter storm, i had a set of Defender2 tires put on. Our first storm, over 5 days, was over 40" of snow, which then turned into several inches of ice. I have a very steep driveway and with my previous tires, I slid at every inch of snow we received (I have a 2023 KIA Sorento 4WD). Not only was I able to drive up my driveway without any trouble, but when I came back, I easily drove down the driveway without the ABS kicking in. These tires are amazing. Please thank the engineers. I have been driving for 64 years and have never had an experience so spectacular. Thank you all!

These are my first winter ...

These are my first winter tires (they are mounted on a front wheel drive car), and I am very impressed with them. In the dry, they handle better than the all-season tires I normally drive on, and are almost as quiet. Braking and fuel economy are about equal. Driving on these tires in the snow is confidence inspiring, especially when braking. I dont have ABS on my car, but I am able to easily and quickly stop the car without sliding. Acceleration in the snow was the tires weakest characteristic in my experience, but the traction provided is plenty for sensible driving (and is better than any all-season tire I have driven on). If you are too aggressive when corning and the traction limits are surpassed, these tires gradually begin to slide, allowing for plenty of time to save a slide before it's too late. Driving cautiously, these tires make winter travel a breeze. I am very happy with these tires & would recommend them.

X-ICE X2 Great Winter Tire

X ICE X2 Used on a 2003 Pontiac Vibe to increase winter and foul weather traction. Traction improved greatly and drove confidently long distances through several blizzards and severe winter storms. A bit noisy but to be expected with an aggressive winter tire. Mpg dropped slightly but wore evenly, had good balance and I would expect them to reach 40,000 miles.

Absolutely the BEST

I am a dedicated Michelin fan. I think they are the absolute BEST tires in the world. I bought a set of Michelin Defender 2 tires for my 2020 GMC Terrain, but unfortunately, I was rear-ended on the freeway with less than 1,000 miles on the new tires. The car was declared "Total Loss" by the insurance company. Now, I have to wear down the tires on my replacement car's off-brand tires so I can put Michelins on it. Only then, will I feel safe and satisfied. Thank you for caring enough to make the best product money can buy!

Thumbs up Michelin with the Defender 2

I bought the Michelin Defender 2 with a $100 rebate in March 2023. Changed over to Michelin X-Ice for the winter. I highly recommend the Defender 2. It handled well and is very quiet. I've just changed back from the X-Ice to the Defender 2 so this will be my second summer on these tires. I'm sure they will be great all spring, summer and fall.

Awesome on a Prius

I replaced the factory tires on my 2008 Prius at 32,700 mi in the fall of 2009 with a set of X-Ice 205/55R16 Winter tires. They are one size larger, but that was all that was available from my dealer at that time. Well, after 3 years and 57,000 miles later, its been a wonderful "year-round" ride with gas mileage usually in the mid forties. I have 89,800 miles on the car now, so its time to replace them, but this time I'm trying to buy a set of X-Ice3 of the factory recommended size, 195/55R-16/XL. We'll see if they perform as well as these have. This experience says a whole lot for X-Ice quality, comfort, wear and handling as an all-season tire for a Prius Touring car.

Michelin x-ice

I purchased my Michelin x-ice tires for my wifes car becasue it gets terrible traction. Even though these tires are really a "winter" tire, we run then all year round for the added traction and excellant wet weather traction. I knew that doing this would mean they won't last long, but we have been very pleasantly suprised at how well they are holding up. I have Michelin made tires on both my vehicles and am extremely happy with them.
