We bought our top end LG refrigerator about a month ago. We immediately had problems with it. The lower freezer drawer was not aligned properly and the seal did not make contact with the body of the unit. We had frost in the freezer and the motor ran constantly. We had a hard time getting warranty work. You just cannot reach A&E repair except for email. You cannot call and talk to a person. I was home the whole day waiting for a repair person, but they texted me to tell me to reschedule. The repair person did come the second time and acknowledged that they are hard to reach. He was surly but did repair the unit. He had a lot of negative things to say about LG. As per the technician, we can expect a lot to go wrong with the unit.

This is a beautiful, large capacity refrigerator with great features. The craft ice and full convert drawer are great features. Unfortunately, shortly after getting this fridge, we noticed water dripping out the ice/water dispenser in the door. Initially we thought an ice cube or two got stuck in the dispense, melted and expelled water down the front of our fridge doors. No, our compressor failed. Both fridge and freezer were not cooling. Items in freezer were thawed and fridge items were just below room temperature. LG came out and replaced the compressor under warranty, but we lost a ton of food (as this is a 30 cu ft unit).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fridge itself is a dream! But we had to wAit THREE MONTHS to get it and once it was delivered two of the doors were badly ‘dinged’. It is now SIX weeks later and we still do not have the new doors as promised. Disappointed!

The main ice maker is slow and is not dependable as I have to hit the reset button occasionally. We are on our third Craft Ice maker unit, and this has already quit working.

They sent a replacement with video instructions to install on your own. Received it and installed the new craft ice maker and it is still not working and hearing a weird sound.

We have been using this refrigerator for over two years and not one single problem. The ice maker works great and the extra ice maker with the round golf ball size ice cubes are an extra treat. The features are numerous and really add to the experience. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I looked for this model for months. I had an earlier version, but sold it when my house sold. I would not own any other brand of refrigerator. This one has it all, dual ice maker, lots of room, good adjustable shelving and best of all a no fingerprint exterior. This refrigerator outshines them all in every category. I’m glad I found it, I ordered it months before the completion of our new home!

And this is a large appliance but the configurations still have some challenges as new owners we are slowly working into our routine. The middle draw is by far the coolest feature allowing you to change it from a freezer to more refrigerator space. We have not had our first party but we are planning and playing with this feature as we cook throughout the month. My biggest drawback is the manual explaining how to connect the WiFi, frankly it sucks. I have worked in IT for nearly 25 years and getting this connected to our home WiFi required using a cellular enabled device and was never able to get it connected to our brand new Orbi system. I managed to download the updates and then I disconnected from our cellular plan. I know this should be easy but the directions are written in reverse polish notation from 1965 like my old TI scientific calculator. The price point and feature are hard to find especially when you love craft ice. With only a month in using this appliance and my extremely busy travel schedule, my good rating maybe miss leading. I have only been home using this device a few weekends at best. I am trying to adjust my craft ice to be full round balls as currently they have a small flat spot on them and I am sure its a minor adjustment. The WiFI thing was again a late night drive by and I did not give it much attention. Still figuring out what goes where in it and where to put things and how to get them. Everything is working and I hope I get more time to enjoy craft ice at the lake house!

We like the easy access door for our daily condiments, etc. We enjoy the small round ice and also the large ball ice for drinks. Overall good layout and happy with purchase.

After 8 months, neither the refrigerator nor freezer was able to reach the set temperature. After an hour on the phone and two attempts, we got a technician to come out and replace the compressor (he says he replaces 50/month). A week later we have the same problem of insufficient cooling.
