Awful! If you have pets this is horrible! This is first review I have given in my life! First time using i thought it was ok. Except for the fact you have to empty container from top and the bottom. Two separate openings. Also the foam pad under containtainer when you lift off container to empty falls dust n powder all over the place! But seeing was just for bedroom i was willing to deal with it. Second use i spent 40 minutes taking it apart to unclog handle part of tube and tube going to brush.

I had a shark rotator that lasted seven years, and it finally died on me. So I purchased the shark rotator that has the the anti-allergen pet plus upright self cleaning brush roll the ZU 55 man it’s perfect. I could not believe how much it picks up and it’s very maneuverable. I will buy nothing but shark products from here on out. This is my second one and I will stick to it.

Works great!

Pros are its very light weight compared to most. It has great suction, very easy to switch from carpet to floor, and it really doesn't get hair wrapped around the brush like most vacuums that have been killed due to my once long hair. So no need to replace broken belts or having to cut handfuls of hair from the brush which was always my problem. It sucks all hair into the container! Awesome!! Cons....attachments don't really attach, so you have to store them somewhere and try not to lose them. The swivel at first I thought great, this is great, it moves around so you're not smacking the vacuum into walls and corners, afraid of scraping or damaging anything, but shortly into vacuuming I can feel the stress it puts on the wrist. Because of the constant swiveling on the base, you're not using hand power to push and move the vacuum, but wrist power instead. My hand and wrist starts cramping after 5 mins or more of use because of that. I don't have arthritis, but if you do, just beware. Otherwise great product.

After purchasing and returning the Shark LA555 because the vacuum was too heavy (14.35 lbs), I decided to try the ZU55 because it weighs 12.3 lbs. Because I have neck and back issues this was still heavy to me but I decided that it was manageable. Perhaps it is because my carpet is thicker but the suction on this was nothing like my previous Shark that I had for 8 years. I have 2 short hair cats and after vacuuming the same area over and over it still did not look as clean as I would like. As an added note: Because I loved my previous Shark rotator I was determined to search for another even after this second purchase. I ordered the Shark LA500 (12.3 lbs) from Amazon. It has the duo clean power fins and so I was hoping that would work better. Same problem! The suction was just as bad. I should not have my carpets look like they still need vacuumed when I just finished. I have resigned myself to the fact that Shark vacuums are just not as well made as they were years ago. Very disappointed and starting over and this time I will not even waste time looking at Shark!

I LOVE Shark vacuums. I have owned a Dyson and still prefer Shark, with that being said, this vacuum just doesn't compare to other Sharks that I have. I have 2 other Shark vacuums, for each floor of my house and wanted a third. I used this once and immediately packed it back up to return. The suction is weak, it did pick up some hair and dirt, but I went right back over to the same room with my old Shark and it picked up A LOT more. I recommend the Shark brand, just not this particular vacuum.

Great product

I bought this today, came home and put it together. It wasn't hard to put together and then used it mainly for carpets as we have a dog that sheds like crazy. It also did good on our hardwood floors. I was very impressed and will be trying out other features on it soon. I had a dyson and it did a good job but this Shark vacuum did a much better job than any other vacuum I have owned before. The dyson just quit having any suction when vacuuming the carpet, so that's why I went looking for a new vacuum. I'm glad I found this one.

Very stylish vacuum. Light weight but powerful. I love the where is maneuvers around furniture.
