The company replaced my original can because when you stepped on the bar at the bottom, the cover wouldn’t open all the way. Their product has a 5 year warranty and they honored it for me by shipping me a new can without any hassles. Now on my new can, when the cover closes it makes a grinding noise and I have to contact the company again! Love the can, just want it to work without any issues.

First of all, this trash can is the best, easiest to use, and simplest to operate that we've ever purchased. So many fell apart, stopped working, etc. This beauty has served us well for a year, and just last month a simple inner part broke. I looked up our receipt and found it has a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. Expecting the worst I contacted simplehuman about the problem and without blinking an eye they sent me a brand-new trash can!!!!! All they requested were close-up pictures of the broken part. So simple, so easy, such AMAZING customer service !!! I don't think I'll ever buy another brand from now on. Perfect !!!

So we bought the trash can 2 years ago because we have a special needs child that is older and still in diapers. We needed a good trash can with tight seal and this was the one! Its worked great!! We even had it malfunction and was sent a replacement..I will never buy anything but simple human!!! Thank you!

We've had different kinds of kitchen garbage cans over the years and this is by far the best. It is easy to change the bag and easy to remove a full bag. It doesn't tip over. It blocks odors from escaping. The lid is super quiet. It's easier to clean than the kind that are all metal. The size is just right. Love it!

I was looking for a new trash can and saw this at a Cray and MRI place. Came home and looked up online. This is worth every penny!! The bags in the back of the can is great!. The bags fit great and the design is the best. The wife loves it and so do I! The best trash can period!

This is my second one I’ve bought. I gave away my last one when I moved to a nice neighbor who needed one for their daughter moving out on her own, first apartment. So I already knew I had to get another one because I loved it so much. Easy to use, soft closing lid and aesthetically pleasing. I got a different color (gray) to match my new decor. Love it!

This thing has moved homes with us, and it has held up extremely well. When I first bought it, I didn’t plan on getting the liners, because I didn’t realize there was a built in pocket for them, but I absolutely love how simple it all is - I don’t have to rifle through my cabinets to get a bag. Anyway, I like it so much that I bought another one for recycling, and you can bet I bought the recycling liners, too.

I am in LOVE with my trash can! It is stylish (for a trash can) , very well made , and does not detract from my kitchen decor. I love the flashy rose gold trim and the ease of changing the trash can liners. It is a perfect size for my home and keeps me from having to endlessly keep emptying the trash because it holds more than any of my previous trash cans.

After dealing with a less than optimal kitchen garbage can for a year, I finally got fed up and replaced it with this one. It is the perfect size, and lucky for us it even accepts the tall kitchen garbage bags that we had purchased in bulk. Not that I have a problem with your bags, but when you have over a thousand of another brand of tall kitchen garbage bags, it's nice that you're able to use them.
