They also filter the water before the ice cubes are made, so I have good confidence that the ice is clean too. Because they are first-party filters from the same manufacturer as my refrigerator, they work well. It's easy to unplug one filter and plug in the new one after I turn off the water running to my fridge. Each filter lasts 6 months, so this two-pack lasts a year. I couldn't be more satisfied with them.

However, I was able to find the correct Samsung filters based on the website information. These filters work perfectly and I believe the filtration makes a difference in the dispensed water.

The filter works great and is easy to install. Getting it out of the plastic package is another issue. Regular scissors didn't do it. We had to use tin snips, and my husband cut his hand on the sharp plastic trying to get the filter out of the packaging. Please consider some other packaging option.
