Company is incredible. When my package was stolen off my doorstep, they immediately shipped another one and I’m so thankful. The garbage can is a great size and is extremely well made. Traps all smells until you open the lid. Plan to have this garbage can forever!

For the price you pay for this step can I think it needs tweaking. You’ll hear a lot of good things about it, and so far as I am able to see after several weeks of using it in my kitchen, I’ll agree with most. I’ll only talk about what needs improving. For one, the gap in the back for holding on and rolling it about on the 2 back wheels - it really hurts my fingers every time I attempt to do so. To be clear, I don’t have large hands. Additionally, the lid is extremely slim. I mean delicately thin, and it’s making me nervous about its longevity. Perhaps it was constructed thus so as to have less weight taxing the step mechanism. But it does appear rather flimsy. Then there’s the lock slider to keep the lid up while you manage the inner bucket or do lengthy tasks - it’s not as smooth to slide or use as I had anticipated. These points may not be a big deal for most and I am only mentioning to give you a comprehensive picture, in case you are on the fence, because it is quite an investment for an item one uses repeatedly everyday. Good luck!

We've had this can for almost a month, and I am loving it! I know some people said they have an issue with the lid not closing securely, but that hasn't been the case for me. Everything is snug, the lid slowly lowers by itself, and if I need it to stay open, there's a notch I can push in to keep it open for as long as I need. I'm using different bags because of cost-savings, and they seem to work great. This is - by far - the best trash can I've ever owned! I highly recommend it!

I've had several trashcans in my adult life, but after having my son and realizing how easy it is for him to get into everything, I finally bought a grown up trashcan. Boy, has this thing exceeded my expectations! It holds way more trash than my old can, but the bags aren't so big they're difficult to carry. The bags are high quality and don't tear. Plus there's extra room in the bags whenever you take them out because we always seem to have a extra trash to add. The lid closes beautifully and is tight enough to the edge that tiny toddler fingers can't get in, and the sides are fingerprint proof. This is probably the best kitchen item I've bought like ever! Definitely worth the investment.

My husband and I love our new trash can so much we bought one for our daughter. The all plastic cans we previously bought at at a popular store broke way too soon leaving the step on function useless. We wanted quality this time! And we were shocked at how much trash our Simplehuman can is able to hold. It is refreshing to own such a well made product! Thank You!

We recently purchased a 50L rectangular step can online from Simple Truth. It is of high quality materials and well constructed. We are germaphobes and disliked having to touch the door knob under the sink to dispose of trash. The can's lid closes automatically. It works great, and it's easy to change the bag. (Custom bags may be purchased). We highly recommend this step can.

I never imagined loving a trash bin. When people come over or ask what’s new? I respond with my Simplehuman trash bins. I bought two 50L. I highly recommend them. I especially like the lock to keep bins open. And the trash bags are great. Measured exactly for bin. 30 gal are too small for this particular size. Get the Q size from simplehuman

This can is not only efficient in design and style, it's an effective use of space in our small kitchen while providing maximum capacity. We love our new Simple Human trashcan and also recommend the odor control trash bags another Simple Human reliable well-made product.

I’ve bought cheaper trash cans previously but decided to try a real trash can. I really appreciate the flush against wall design. This trashcan utilizes all the space as well. When you fill a bag it’s full plus the nice rectangle canister allows you to fold a Tony’s Pizza box in half and slide it right down inside length ways. Everything about this can is right. There’s literally no wasted room. The canister inside is right next to the edge all the way around. My previous trash cans were big and bulky and the trash canister was small. So much wasted space on other trash cans. You won’t be disappointed in how smooth this can opens and how nice it looks. This one was designed by an old farm wife if I was guessing because engineers just don’t do things this perfect.

Had a plastic step-on can & it kept sliding around & didn’t hold much. My friend has 1 of these at her house except hers is about 13 yrs old (and still working great!) so I decided that it could be worth the money. Couldn’t be happier w all of the features - solid construction, lg easy pedal, air vents so the new bags can hug the interior & not poof out and the little latch that holds up the lid while we are changing bags. Have used for a month now & love it. The only neg was the expensive simple human bags & I found compatible ones online for much less. Have recommended this trashcan to many friends. Very thoughtful design and quality build.
