We bought this trash can due to my previous SimpleHuman can's plastic lid/plastic hinge breaking after long-term use. This new can has a metal lid with metal hinges, so I'd assume it will last longer than my last one. It is also a larger can than the one it replaced, 3.2 gal vs. 3.0 gal; it actually works better with standard 3 gallon bags, as there's no excess bag to wrestle with when changing bags. The can arrived one day earlier than the estimated arrival date. The only downer is the can has a mild corner dent that is hidden where we put our can, and the box was significantly bashed on one side, and seriously taped up on the bottom upon arrival. This doesn't affect the operation of the can, or detract from the overall appearance where we place it, so we're not returning it. In fairness it was packed well, but somewhere from the production line to my doorstep it looked like the box took a pretty serious hit.

Outstanding, I would have never thought of paying this much for a trash can. Well worth the money and would buy again. Delivery was exceptional and ahead of schedule

Awesome trash can! Worth the money. I’ve had it for a couple months and it still looks and functions great. Regular 13 gallon size bags fit they just take a little extra work to stretch them on the can liner.

I purchased This as a gift, my sister loves it. You can use 13 gallon Glad garbage bags or whatever brand you prefer that sells 13 gallon bags.

The company was great about replacing our step can that broke after 4. 5 years. I really appreciate their customer stand swift response!

I am satisfied with my purchase. I appreciate (1) receiving a starter pack of liners; (2) the shape 50L or 13-gallon rectangular bin; (3) the foot pedal allows for the hand-free open and quiet close of the lid; (4) the bin always stays in place when the pedal is used for the open-close function; and, (5) the fingerprint-free design. There are two rollers -- one at each corner -- at the back of the under-carriage which allow for the bin to be pushed or pulled forward.

Beautiful trash can! Common 13 gallon trash can liners very difficult to stretch , a real disappointment! I’ve ripped many bags trying to fit, as some cooking show experts reported Great can in kitchen to use, lid opens easily and open lock position is a nice option... Expensive but hope to use for many many years

I like the look and size of the trash can. However after investing in this trash can I am disappointed that the lid does not completely close.

This is a well made trash can. Have had a similar simplehuman that has lasted for many years- it's just dirty and needs to be replaced. So I will be returning this trash can because you cannot use standard 13 gallon trash bags with it. They will fit but you really have to stretch the bag and it is very difficult. This was going to be a gift for my elderly father and I know he won't like having to order trash bags for it.
