The washer and dryer were squeaky at first, but after a call to customer service I unplugged and plugged in the machine per instructions and it took care of the squeaky dryer. The washer however, is still loud in the spin cycle. Also the washer is a little low but we are having a cabinet built with a platform for the unit. I would buy it again though. I love the large capacity in the small amount of space it takes up. Bottomline, it does a great job of washing and drying!

My children still use the main unit on the first level but I LOVE having my own laundry. I’m short and adore the controls being right in front of me. I still have a lot to learn about laundry programming - and use the basic wash and dry. So far so good. My clothes come out clean and I love that it is a full size washer and dryer although the size of the entire unit is very compact. Hookup was a breeze.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace a 16 year old stack washer/dryer set. I didn't rush into this purchase. I shopped at nearly every appliance outlet in my city and tried to be diligent about comparing features and prices. My main constraint was space. My laundry room is actually a closet so space is tight. Once I had all of my facts and figures I spoke with a friend who does appliance repair. He's a big fan of LG so that sealed the deal for me. This unit is so far above what I was using before that I hardly know where to begin. The control panel is super easy to use, even for someone like me who is mildly technology challenged. I love that it is energy efficient. It runs quietly which is a plus since I had to remove the bi-fold door on my laundry closet in order to get it to fit. I thought that would bother me but it's so sleek and pretty that having it visible is not an issue. A small load of laundry can be done in about 30 minutes. The tubs are big enough to do blankets and quilts. There are a few features that I have not tried yet like the steam refresh option. So far I am really happy with my purchase and look forward to many years of happily doing laundry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit because it was the ONLY full-sized washer/dryer I could find that would fit in my second floor laundry closet. Thanks LG! It seems quiet and efficient, with the wash cycle much shorter than my old unit. (Though the dry cycle is a bit longer.) Installation is not easy. It comes as a single unit weighing 300+ pounds, and when the installation dudes teetered backward on my stairs I thought there might be a loss of both human and machine. (Fortunately they recovered quickly!) Some things about this machine baffle me. There is no spin and drain cycle, no "no heat" setting on the dryer, and the timed dry only allows you to choose 20-minute increments. The lights in the washer and dryer are very nice, but they don't turn on when I want them to, and they turn off too quickly when I'm unloading. Apparently it's normal that water pools around the seal of the washer after the cycle is done that needs to be mopped up. Despite repeated tries I have not been able to connect it to my phone. I can see it connected to my wi-fi, but have no idea what its password is. I'm not sure what the "steam" function is all about, but when I used it with the washer the wash time (including an extra rinse) went up to 1 hour and 50 minutes! I used it with the dryer and my clothes came out more wrinkled than ever. I don't get it. So, the bottom line for me is that it's fine as a basic washer/dryer, but the fancy features seem pretty useless.

I bought this less than s month ago and did laundry twice. Cleans and dries well. Location of control panel is obviously very convenient. The only thing that I would like to have is more flexibility with choices of temperature for each washing and drying cycle. You cannot do normal dry with low temperature. You have to select delicate cycle to satisfy “dry low” on the clothing label. It is manageable though. Also, normal wash is always turbowash and is short. Have not figured it out if it is a good or bad thing, but you cannot turn turbowash off. Had Bosch before, where you can pick and choose anything, so maybe just need to adjust. Overall, after running it twice, do not have complaints. Pretty quiet machine as well.

However, with limited time and space, I took a chance on the LG Tower and couldn't be happier. I love the control panel in the middle. I'm short and can't reach stacked units. The washer completely cleans the clothes in reasonable time and the dryer is perfect. I also love that the clean out trap for the washer is easy to get to. I don't like the chore, but being able to handle it easily, means I don't put it off. Don't forget the steam! Honestly, I feel like I have the luxury model for the price of a good washer and dryer.

I don't have enough room for a pedestal and I literally have to get on my hand and knees to drain the water.

I'd love tog I've it more stars if I could ever get the app to work on a consistent basis. Without the app the units are limited to 4 cycle types. I need many of the other wash and dry options that are only available by the app.
