And, the winner is….ME with my Samsung 85” QLED TV

“And now, the Award for the Best Brightness and Responsiveness….And the winner is…Why, it's the Samsung 85" Class Neo QLED 4K QN80FD Vision AI Smart TV for 2025.” “and accepting the Award is…ME!! “Oh my Gosh!! Thank you, Thank You. I just can't thank the Samsung Designers and Engineers for producing such an awesome QLED TV. And after watching the past Olympics female figure skating Champion, Alysa Liu on the ice, on my Samsung QLED, I felt like I had a seat right on the first row and felt her breeze by me! The pictures Contrast and Uniformity! Gosh! I could see every sequin on her costume and the upscaling!!! And, the upscaling! Oh my Gosh! It brought me even closer to Alysa's Smile and Tears! I guess we are Both Winners this year! Alysa for her Olympic Gold Medal, and Me for my Samsung 85" Class Neo QLED 4K QN80FD Vision AI Smart TV for 2025!” “Thank you once again!”

fantastic

I had already owned 3 Samsung TV at my northern house, then bought 4 more for my new home built in Florida. There is NO BETTER TV anywhere!!!!! Thanks for the great picture quality and ease of operation. Love the built in Samsung TV guide and shows. I cancelled my cable TV service and saved a bundle! Ty, Phil

Sharpness, contrast exceptional

Knowing very little about the newest tv technology. I will compare to my favorite tv it is a Samsung 240 RR. Yes it is a 2014 model but everything I have owned sence has not come close. I bought this Samsung to replace a working Vizio 75 inch . It was starting to show shadows. The picture was never as good as my Samsung 240 R rate. But this one is the best just for the picture. I have a learning curve to figure out what it can do but it's worth the effort.

Great Clarity with Size

Color Saturation and definition is very good with very smooth transition for movement, no blur so it has great responsiveness. Blacks look black and a very lifelike images. Very good sound quality. It is lacking 1 or 2 HDMI ports, it has only 4 ports which I could use 2 more, for another game console and computer hookup, just started watching some movies it feels like being in a small theater. Definitely a good investment for a fantastic TV. Now the next step will be testing my PS5, and can't wait. It changes to the brightness of the room so it can pull range up or down depending on how your room is.

Love it so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We joke that when standing in front of it, we look like the weather person. It's been great so far. Nice upgrade. Took a while to get it put in place and connecting to our provider was too easy. Still not sure if we've done all the other stuff right yet and we are pleased so far.

BIG Picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a big, beautiful picture that I love being wrapped up in. But the picture is grainy and I can't find a way to tune it to better clarity. The volume is difficult to get “just right” also. But I'm sort of deaf so the fault may be mine. I don't like that so many controls and settings are fixed, or unsettable.

Could use some improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I am somewhat pleased with my QN80FD. The picture is very good. It has some glare points when the room is brighter that I think should not be on a screen at this price point. I do not like that I cannot add apps like YouTube TV to the home screen. The remote control is too small and difficult to operate and very sensitive to touch.

Incompatible with Roku Streaming Stick 4k+

Incompatible with Roku 4k+ streaming stick due to HDCP interop failures. Not a cable issue. Not a power issue. Doesn't matter which port, etc... Roku support refuses to even submit bug report to SW team because they say that Samsung is not a partner. Samsung also seems uninterested in debugging the issue. Only solution is to return the Samsung TV or stop using Roku player. Wish I had bought a different make/model TV.

Major Letdown for a Loyal Samsung Fan – Mid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long-time Samsung loyalist who has purchased many of their TVs over the years, I bought this to replace a 5-year-old 75-inch Samsung model. I was incredibly excited, but after living with it, I am seriously questioning whether it's time to switch brands. I expected a solid mid-tier experience, but instead, this feels like a low-end budget TV wrapped in advertising gimmicks. Here is why this model falls short: - Cheap, Flimsy Build Quality: The base stand is incredibly disappointing. It is made of lightweight plastic and feels shockingly cheap. Honestly, I was genuinely afraid to place a massive TV on it, questioning if it could even hold the weight. - Sluggish User Interface: The TV menu is painfully slow and unresponsive. Navigating through settings or apps feels like a chore rather than a premium smart TV experience. - Broken Ecosystem (Q-Symphony Echoes): You would think a Samsung TV would pair seamlessly with a Samsung Q910C soundbar, but that isn't the case. No matter what settings I tweak, using the "Q-Symphony" feature creates a terrible, distracting echo. - Washed-Out "AI" Picture Quality: The heavily marketed AI Picture Mode is awful. Instead of optimizing the image, it completely blows out the brightness and contrast, leaving the picture looking incredibly washed out. - Useless "AI Soccer Mode": Speaking of gimmicks, the "AI Soccer Mode" seems entirely nonexistent. Watching the 2026 FIFA games, I noticed absolutely zero difference in picture or audio quality with this mode enabled. - Poor Remote Design & Compatibility: The included remote is tiny, flat, and easily slips out of your hand. To make matters worse, I have been completely unable to get it to sync or work properly with my Verizon FIOS set-top box. Final Verdict: I didn't expect top-tier flagship performance, but I did expect mid-tier quality. Instead, this feels like a cheap framework propped up by marketing buzzwords. If this is where Samsung's quality is heading, my next TV will likely be from a different brand. Not recommended.
