This dryer was efficient and did a good job….until less than 4 months into ownership it will no longer run on high or medium heat. We are awaiting the warranty repairman to come out and see what needs to be fixed, but for the last few weeks have only been able to dry on low heat which takes multiple cycles to dry a load of laundry. Hopefully this is just the exception

I bought a house a few months back and this dryer was already in it. It DOES NOT DRY ANYTHING. Whether it is full, 1/2 full, or just a few items. Does not matter. It dries for a few minutes and shuts off. I contacted LG, since I was not the original purchaser I had no idea when the dryer was manufactured. Turns out, IT WAS ONE YEAR PRIOR! And since I wasn’t the original purchaser, I was out of luck for the warranty (which, is fair, I suppose). HOWEVER, a one year old dryer should be more than capable of drying a few items of clothing (OR A DRYER FULL OF CLOTHES!!). I should also mention the lint catcher is absolutely useless, everything just falls to the bottom of the dryer, which I’m sure is a factor in why the machine doesn’t work. When you look up the lint catcher in the manual vs when you look it up on LGs website, two different parts come up. So I don’t even know if I have the correct piece. I would just not even waste your time and money on this dryer and keep shopping.

I bought this dryer approximately a month and a half ago. At first, we loved it, but then it stopped getting hot and only blowing cold air. It took a week and a half to two weeks to get a technician out to fix it. Now it rattles all the time because he had to take it apart to repair it. At this point I would not recommend this product! My last dryer lasted 20 years without a problem.

The temperature sensor keeps tripping and then the dryer is not hot and won't dry the clothes. The experience so far with this dryer has been quite frustrating and awful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer for my mother at the beginning of this month and had had it for about three weeks now. We love it. It is quiet and dries the clothes completely. I was a little skeptical at first given some of the reviews, but we have found none of the problems have been our experience. This dryers moisture sensor technology has performed flawlessly. The first time we used it, we were surprised at how quickly the drying cycle completed. We were sure the clothes would be damp and we would have to run the cycle again. Not true. They were completely dry. The large capacity drum has been very helpful. Some of the reviews state objection to the cycle completion tune being too offensive. We had no problem with the tune nor felt it was too loud. We are pleased with the drying setting choices and find them to be adequate for our needs. Over all we are very pleased with our LG DLE6100W Dryer and complement LG on the design. We highly recommend this dryer based on performance, features and price.

I specifically selected LG because of their high ratings when it comes to appliances. Overall, I am pleased with it and it works well. It is a bit noisy which is more noticeable since it is in a closeted area right next to my living room so the TV volume has to be cranked up when it's running, but overall, compared to my other dryer, this one iw great.

I am so happy with this purchase. I was debating on the HE dryer , because I hate change and thought that it would be difficult to use. To my surprise, I just love it. It drys my clothes quickly and the different cycles are amazing. I also bought the matching washer and cant believe how beautiful and modern that they look together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer less than a month ago. It drys great,extra large capacity. The only issue is it has a loud vibration with start up. After it runs a few minutes it quites down. The knockout for your vent was very hard to get out. Wasn't properly cut out like it showed.

Normal = medium heat, heavy duty = high heat on the auto-sensor. So if you’re mixing jeans with shirts, use timed dry or heavy duty to insure they’re dry first try. I don’t need all the bells and whistles, I just want the clothes dry in a timely manner and this does the job for a reasonable price.
