I like my new LG Dryer

I'm happy with my new LG dryer. I like that the temperature of the heat in the dryer can be very low or high depending on how dry you want the laundry.

New unit purchase

Fewer bells and whistles compared to an older device. Didn’t use half of them. This one serves the purpose of a dryer

It is so quiet. Did not know it was running. I had forgot how a good dryer works.

Solid quiet drier

We replaced a worn-out 21-year-old GE model with similar features and are generally happy with this one. It's quieter than the GE (before it wore out) and if we have one complaint, it's that you can't change the heat settings on the different drying settings like we could with the GE (e.g., no high or low heat on the normal drying setting). Otherwise, it works as advertised.

Good dryer

The problems are great. Perfect to get the desired dryness of clothes. Would be a five if there were a light inside the drum to pickup small clothings

VERY disappointing

Bought this dryer to go with the washer I have. It was great until it wasn’t. It’s 2 years and 2 months old and suddenly wouldn’t stop running. Even after the cycle ended. The only way I could stop it was to open the door. Turns out there is a relay that gets stuck. Apparently a very common problem with LG dryers. Try a different brand and do some research. Read lots of reviews before you buy. Only a 1 year warranty (I forgot to buy the extended warranty). Who only has a 1 year warranty?

Horrible experience with Sam’s Club and LG Support

The worst experience I’ve ever had with appliances. Ordered this washer and dryer on 9/7, said it would be delivered on 9/17. Still no updates on 9/16, called Member Services, no one could provide me an update. Called on 9/18, still not status and got bounced around to Member Escalation and then to LG support. No one could tell me anything. Called again on 9/20 to cancel and even the cancellation was a horrific process. They verbally told me it will be cancelled but still no confirmation. If this is how all appliance experiences are like, I will never be ordering any appliances from Sam’s Club. Every option they gave me was worthless and lacked substance. I hope Sam’s CX team or Support team looks at this ticket and actually ensures my order is cancelled and revise their ordering process with appliance vendors. This whole thing has been such a horrible experience to deal with. Should have just stuck with the appliance stores.

Hi, Rush. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand how important it is for your LG Dryer (DLE6100W) model order and delivery to be handled smoothly from start to finish. If you haven't had the chance yet, we suggest reaching out to Sam's Club customer service at 888-746-7726 to check on your purchase. Once your model is delivered and installed, a handy tip to ensure everything runs well is to make sure the exhaust duct is clear and properly connected. If the duct is blocked or loose, it might affect how well it dries and could lead to longer cycle times. For more info about the products, feel free to visit https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-dle6100w-electric-dryer. If you still need help with your order status or cancellation confirmation, just send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you. ^Juvy

Sensor causes clothes not to dry

We purchased this washer and dryer September 2024. The dryer has had a problem for the last 6 months and the sensor seems to keep making the dryer turn off before the clothes are dry. We did all the trouble shooting making sure the duct is clean as well as the inside where the sensor is etc. Now it basically takes at least 6 cycles to get the clothes only somewhat dry. So disappointed in a dryer that didn't even last a year...

reply from LG Digital Customer Care

Hi, Debra. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Dryer (DLE6100W) model. We understand how important it is for your appliance to dry clothes efficiently and consistently.

Since you’ve already cleaned the duct and sensor area, one additional troubleshooting step is to run the dryer in a timed dry cycle instead of sensor dry. This helps determine if the issue is with the sensor system or the heating function itself. If clothes dry normally on timed cycles, the moisture sensor may need to be serviced. You can also ensure the load size is appropriate, as very small or very large loads can sometimes affect sensor readings. JUST WANT A-WORKING DRYER

My dryer worked for about 10 loads. Dealing with LG has been absolutely a challenge of my sanity. We FINALLY got a repair man to come and it was the delicate igniter. Now we wait another 10 days for part and another appointment for repair. The repairman was was good, and I have no complaints about him. I do NOT want email sent to me or calls from Chatbot or AI !!!

Hi, Donald. We appreciate you taking the time to share your review regarding your LG Gas Dryer, model DLG6101W. We recognize your shared experience with the igniter issue, the scheduling of your repair appointment, and the communication you have received. To help ensure your dryer functions safely and efficiently while you await your service visit, we recommend verifying that the external exhaust vent hood outside your home is completely clear of lint, debris, or bird nests, which will allow for proper airflow once the heating components are fully repaired. Additionally, keeping the internal lint filter completely clean before every load helps protect sensitive internal heating sensors and igniter assemblies from overheating. We want to help ensure your laundry setup operates perfectly and comfortably for your household. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com if you need further support. ^James

The most HORRIBLE lint trap of all time!!

The dryer works about as well as a dryer should. However, the settings are really weird. When you use the ‘sensor dry’ settings like ‘normal, heavy duty, delicates, etc you are unable to change the heat setting at all. That leaves the manual dry time options of ‘60, 40, and 20 minutes (plus air dry) where you can adjust the heat settings. I dry all my clothes on low for 60 minutes and unfortunately that means I have to always run it twice. Wish you could do a sensor setting on low. The noise and vibration is pretty loud honestly, but I knew that you get what you paid for so I wasn’t really that bothered by anything that I just mentioned. The biggest problem however, is that the lint trap is THE MOST inconvenient and unthought out feature that I have ever seen on an appliance. When you take the filter out and clean it, little bits and pieces of lint stick to the outer rim that are very tedious to get off. Fine, whatever. Not a huge deal. But there’s all sorts of little crevices and pieces of metal for pieces of lint to get caught and stuck in and with the opening being about an inch wide it’s impossible to get them out without using a tweezers. Today after having the dryer for about 6 months or so, I realized just how deep that lint trap is—IT’S VERY DEEP AND IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN OUT. I clean that thing out (or try too) before every load, and I just looked down into there with a flashlight and the amount of buildup down there is insane and I genuinely have no clue how I am going to get it out. Maybe it’s just me, I was used to having a dryer from the 90s that worked forever and the lint trap wasn’t such a pain to clean out every time. But I don’t think they gave the design for this lint trap any thought before approving the design and going ahead with it. Excuse me while I find something that I can makeshift into working for cleaning this ridiculous thing out!! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Hi. We appreciate you sharing your experience regarding your LG DLG6101W Dryer. We recognize your experience with the preset cycle temperature options, sound levels, and lint trap maintenance on your unit. To help clear lint from deep within the housing, please use a narrow dryer lint brush or vacuum hose attachment, and check that the dryer feet are level to help reduce operational sound, or view our helpful guides at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-noise-from-the-dryer--20154774023458?srsltid=AfmBOooincE53ZxepNSW3RIvQbJGh5j-H70yKYNj3li1k3RmN1Ldknu0 and https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/combo-unit-lint-issues--1337695812363?srsltid=AfmBOoqbZ-u-AwSBRJscsY-rFTvXCp2-R3WdvEk1QuUuAajgqNWOEnhk.
