Super high performance. My last set of LG appliances lasted 14 years. Nothing comes close in my opinion

Also, did you hire someone to specifically drive buyers crazy with the complicated owner's manual

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this now for 2 years ago, and it has been a good dryer. It is very quiet and drys well. However, recently the drum went bad. Drum split on one end and started making a thump noise. LG surprisingly covered the drum under a 3 year or lifetime drum warranty, but the process to get a part was kludgy and frustrating. About 1.5 months later we received the drum and it was replaced quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very roomy. also significantly taller and deeper than our old one. many cycle choices. we do not find the remote start useful. however, the steam cycles have been great for reducing allergens and for wrinkle release.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works very well and is quiet. I took away a star because the control pad is not as easy to use as I would like. The wifi feature is "cool", but ultimately not necessary or a factor in buying this dryer, IMO.

I bought this dryer to match the LG washing machine which I also bought to replace my old one, based mainly on Consumer Reports recommendations. They both suck compared to my previous machines. I waited until I had used the machines for a couple of months, and spent some quality time with LG help line, before reviewing. - First, the standard height of washers and dryers apparently has been increased, I guess in order to accommodate all the additional useless features or the wifi that I don't use (because it would be one more thing to have to fix, I have some experience with so-called "smart" appliances). This increase in height necessitated remodeling my laundry room, since my workspace needed to be raised to accommodate this new model. - The drum is much too big now. Once you sort clothes by color, type, temperature, etc, you want to be able to do several smaller loads, not one humongous load. - The biggest con is that the dryer does not have a sensor to signal when clothes are dry. If it decides that the clothes need 55 minutes, then my god it will bake your clothes for 55 minutes, whether they are already dry or not. My previous dryer would beep as soon as ANY of the clothes were dry, and I could take them out and continue the cycle with the rest. This dryer does not. - Also a big con is that the dryer is very rough on clothes. I have had clothes damaged by the dryer. - And on top of that, this dryer leaves them wrinkled! Maybe because of the baking tendency noted above. I have tried various settings. And no I do not leave the clothes in the washer for long after washing, I transfer them soon after. And I use dryer balls. And remove clothes promptly from dryer. (My old dryer did also have an automatic feature at end of cycle to cool down and continue tossing if clothes were dry and you did not remove immediately, this one does not). - The manual is useless, it does not even give the cycle options/instructions for use, only troubleshooting. You are obliged to look online. I have cleaners, and airbnbs staying here and using the machines, so they need to have more intuitive and logical dashboard. - Finally, instead of just a quick beep to signal the end of the cycle, the dryer plays an irritating song. So no I cannot recommend this dryer (or the matching washer). It is difficult to imagine that LG ever tested this dryer with consumers, there are so many things wrong with it.

Within the month of owning this unit we have done multiple loads of laundry with no faults at all! The machine is whisper quiet, respectfully, and it very user friendly!! Pair this with the washer and it takes the guess work out of setting the dryer time and setting! Along with ease of use, the LG app and the ThinQ technology allows us to be away from the unit and home and monitor the status of each load! I highly recommend this unit and it’s sister dryer unit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased not only the washer but the dryer too! Together with the the ThinQ app doing my laundry has never been easier. I no longer have to keep going down to the basement to check on my clothes because the app let's me know when it has ended and the dryer automatically knows what settings I need too. All that technology and it's energy efficient too.

We moved into a new house and had to replace all of the appliances. We chose to go with LG units for everything. This dryer had to be converted to propane but the Service Tech did it in a matter of mins. The unit works well. It is quiet and efficient. We are still learning about some of the advanced features but are impressed so far.
