Complete package

This generator had everything I was looking for and more. Power, Tri-fuel, CO Sensor, Remote and hoses. I wanted to see how easy it would start if I used the pull chord. I was amazed! It started using the chord, with minimal effort, the very first time I used the generator.

Expecting Great Things

I bought this generator shorty after things settled down after Hurricane Beryl and while I haven't had to use it yet I did just unbox and assemble it in preparation for the winter storm moving across the US in early 2026. After everything I've read and watched online I have high expectations for the WGEN10500TFC.

Versatile Generator

I purchased this generator based on the reviews of other satisfied customers. Unboxing and set up was simple as well as the operating instructions. I love the display panel set up and the remote starting and tri-fuel features. I wish I had bought one of these years ago. I'm still breaking mine in, so I will update this review if needed. So far, I'm very pleased.

Awesome Generator

I had to replace my old gasoline-only generator and i wanted to get one that runs on propane as well as gasoline. I ended up buying the tri-fuel and i'm so glad i did! I've now run a dedicated natural gas line for the generator. We have problems with power outages and it's such a pleasure to be able to continue to have electricity during such events. It has plenty of power to run everything in my house. I purchased an electrical box and power cord from another source so that i can run my entire house. I've only run it on propane and natural gas. It's starts easily and runs very cleanly. I love the information center. This is a very 'mature' product. By that i mean that it has everything you could possibly need on board. I recommend this product!

Got an update

I haven't really set up my generator yet, but from the looks of it, it looks sturdy and well made, I was also surprised that I got an updated version which was completely different from what I bought, that alone made me happy. Looking forward to setting this bad boy up for when needed.

Great generator with

I bought this a month ago and I had a Westinghouse generator before and was happy with it. This one is much easier to use and connect. Display help owner understands what is happening ... like if I need to charge the battery. I just needed to reminder to switch master breaker on the generator!

A necessity in our area!

I purchased about a month ago to run as a "Whole House" backup power. I had a transition switch installed and it has worked perfectly! We have a problem with "unreliable" power in our area and come to the conclusion that a backup power source was a necessity for us. We don't actually run EVERYTHING in the house. We just run the needed items. Fridge, freezer, fish tank, A.C., Etc,,,, The generator runs like a champ! VERY Happy!!!

Damaged gas regulator

I bought the generator November 2025, worked for 10 minutes when first installed. Tried to exercise January 2025 and would not start with either natural gas or propane. Called Westinghouse for assistance and was told it was probably the regulator and would send me a replacement, albeit I would have to install it. Asked for instructions but never received a readable copy. Very disappointed that I bought a "lemon" and Westinghouse would not make it right. They offered to make the repair but I would have to take the unit to a repair shop 40 miles from me. I have no way to transport the unit. I would have to pay for a service call even though materials and labor is covered under the one year warranty. I asked that the unit be replaced and was refused.

Hi, We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this has been. This is not the level of service we aim to provide. While the warranty covers parts and labor through authorized service centers, we regret the inconvenience this caused, especially given your ability to transport the unit and the unclear instructions provided. Please contact our customer support team at westinghousevip@wpowereq.com with your case number so we can review your situation further and see how we can help. Thanks,

Amazing machine

This is a beast of a generator. Im in central Tx & dont get the freezing weather as bad as northern states but this generator is more than enough. I plan to use it for camping as well. Amazing machine. After 2021 ice event in Tx, I knew I needed to be more prepared. This eases my mind.

Seems quality

Purchased for home backup. Started right up no issues, powered house through 50A inlet. Ran both on gas and propane with no issues. It is loud and the break in period of below 50% load for the first 5 hours of operation is annoying if you are wanting to use this when the power goes out. That means you have to break it in for 5 hours before powering heat pump or heat strips.
