This is my second Westinghouse Genny

This machine is very well-made and the featureful design and power made it perfect to get my family through Hurricane Beryl in Houston. I stopped only to change the oil for the first time as called for in the owner's manual, and I filled it with about 10 gallons of gas a day. Other than that, it was a workhorse. I love the 50Amp out because it plugged into my panel and ran my central A/C, my fridge, and all the lights and ceiling fans. Most importantly, it ran the coffee maker. We shut off the A/C when we did laundry, and it even ran the dryer. We didn't try the ovens because we have a gas grille, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would run them. We had it on the corner of the house away from windows, and I did notice that the exhaust was quite hot. The bricks on the house were hot. I haven't set it permanently in place, so I'll probably mov it closer to the natural gas line since it runs on LP and Natural gas too. That will save me trips to the gas station. It was really concerning at first that there were not any gas stations open, and as the crisis went into its third and fourth day, people were acting a little on edge, so having the LP option as a backup was nice too. We never lost our gas lines, so maybe that would be the way to go. I love the remote start. I wish it had an automatic off though, you have to remember to turn off the manual switch when it's not running. This is the second one I've had, and I killed the battery more than once on the last one I had. How hard would it be to have a remote sense on and auto off or a momentary on that stayed on 30 minutes or a few hours? I don't know what the drain is, so I can't guess, but it would be nice. I do like shutting it down from far away when I'm going to refill the tank and then after it's full, I can walk away and start it from far away. This saves me from having to wear ear protection. It's pretty loud. I wish they made an enclosure for this unit with built in ventilation and sound absorbing material. Hear me Westinghouse? LOL. Overall, I think I'd get an even more powerful unit next time, but this is very useful and reliable so far. Highly recommend!

So far this generator has operated flawlessly! We have not had a complete power outage yet, thank goodness but the test run went great. The manual that came with it was easy to follow and explained setup and start up completely. I have peace of mind going into winter.

Does the job well!

We've had 3 power outages since the beginning of 2025 so I needed a generator that was reliable and a cost effective solution. The Westinghouse WGen11500TFc has satisfied our needs admirably. We also own another Westinghouse generator at our summer home in Maine, so we are familiar with the quality and dependability of Westinghouse generators.

RUNS EVERYTHING!

Bought this gen for whole-home standby power. Built a custom enclosure and did a semi-permanent install with an interlock kit on my panel and an inlet box to connect to my home. Ran proper wiring and plumbing for natural gas and gave it a shot. It runs everything in my 2000sq ft home. All lighting/120v receptacles, clothes dryer, 4-ton heat pump (w/hard start--no heat strips), 2-ton minisplit heatpump/ac in attached garage, microwave, etc. The only thing I've yet to try is to run my dryer and my hvac unit at the same time. On paper, that would overload the gen capacity so I didn't even try it. It does run one at a time just fine on natural gas. I'm very pleased with my purchase. The remote start feature makes it possible to bring my home up on gen power without ever having to go out in the weather.

WGen10500TFc

Just received a couple of days ago. Assembly was quick and easy with tools supplied. Filled with oil and gas and it started right up. have only done a short test run but it seems to do everything that want. Looks to be well built and has all the bells and whistles. We will be all set for the winter that will soon be coming to Maine.

Initial use

I had my unit professionally set up last week. VERY disappointed to find the Natural gas hose had a pin hole in it and leaks gas!!!! I am also very surprised it takes up to two dozen attempts to start it using the electric start button. Are there production problems and/ or quality control issues at Westinghouse? VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT !!!!!!!!!!

Excellent Generator - Powerful, easy to start

Purchased a month ago and used twice, the Westinghouse Trifuel Generator proves efficient on propane, effortlessly powering my home during a test outage. Challenges arose with natural gas, though I plan to reattempt this month. Prepared with two propane tanks for potential power loss, it guarantees reliability. The generator, while heavy and loud—louder than a dishwasher—impresses with its versatility, accommodating propane, gasoline, or natural gas. Its user-friendly design, remote start feature, and robust build enhance convenience and durability, making it a solid investment for home backup and outdoor events. Westinghouse's quality reputation solidifies its standing as a reliable and adaptable power source.

"Powerful and Versatile: The WenGen 10500 TFC

I recently purchased the WGen 10500 TFC generator as a replacement for my trusty old Coleman Powermate gas generator, and I must say, it's been a game-changer. The primary reasons I opted for this upgrade were its significantly increased power output and the convenience of its Trifuel capabilities. My Coleman Powermate had served me well over the years, and it's still operational, but I found myself needing more power for my various needs. The WenGen 10500 TFC provided the perfect solution. With double the generator power, I no longer have to worry about running out of juice when I need it the most. Whether it's for powering essential appliances during a blackout or running power tools for DIY projects, this generator has me covered. What truly sets the WGen 10500 TFC apart is its Trifuel functionality. The ability to switch between propane, natural gas, and gasoline gives me incredible flexibility and peace of mind. No matter what fuel source is readily available, I can keep the generator running smoothly. It's a fantastic feature for both emergency situations and everyday use. In terms of convenience, the WGen 10500 TFC doesn't disappoint either. It starts up easily, runs quietly, and has a user-friendly control panel. Plus, its robust build and durable components make it a reliable long-term investment. Overall, my decision to upgrade to the WGen 10500 TFC has proven to be a wise one. It's a powerful, versatile, and convenient generator that has exceeded my expectations. If you're in the market for a reliable generator that offers ample power and flexibility, I highly recommend giving the WGen 10500 TFC serious consideration. It's a significant upgrade from my old generator and has quickly become an indispensable part of my household.

Great product!

I purchased this generator recently after seeing so many great reviews for this product. The great reviews were accurate. This generator is solidly constructed and is an absolute workhorse. I would highly recommend the Westinghouse 9500 Dual Fuel generator to anyone in need of a portable generator capable of running most if not all systems in a home during a power outage.

Simple and reliable

I bought this to replace a Generac 15000 watt generator, that worked fine but was a bit too big for my needs. I'm an electrician by trade and my emergency needs are under 10000 watts. The westinghouse generator is lighter and easier to use for my wife in case I'm not home when power goes out. The generator seems to handle the loads just fine and the key fob is a great addition.
