Perfect Generator for my needs!

Living in a very rural area and being the last residents on our power line, we tend to lose electricity quite frequently. We recently did some remodeling and upgrades to our home and I decided to install a generator hook- up while we were spending money. After doing alot of comparisons and product reviews, I decided on the Westinghouse WGen10500TFc as my generator of choice. This generator surpassed all of my expectations. It's able to keep everything in our house running like normal when the power goes out. It's also relatively quiet compared to other generators I've heard run. Completely satisfied with my purchase.

Awsome freatures

I think it is great with this unit I am able to use gas or propane if need be. Currently I am just using gas and have ran the unit twice. It is so easy to start, once I turn fuel on, press the battery switch, and press start with my remote. This is so simple and glad I went with this model.

Looks good out of the box

I bought this generator several months ago, but I haven't used it yet. It offers many hookup options with the tri-fuel system and includes an LPG/Propane hose and a natural gas hose. However, I cannot connect the female end of the hose to the natural gas supply side. The female connector doesn't fit a standard 1/2" male fitting, even though it is supposed to be a 1/2" hose. The manual doesn't specify the type of hose or fitting. type. I need to call Westinghouse technician to figure it out.

Emergency Relief

This generator seems well designed. Very heavy, but that is good in generators. I like the choice of power outlets and a remote start. The trip-fuel option gives me options when the weather turns ugly. One never knows what fuel is available in an emergency, but I have options here. This gives me great piece of mind. This generator should outlast me with proper maintenance and my heirs will inherit a good piece of equipment.

Very versatile

Tri fuel is awesome! Would have given five stars except I haven't used with natural gas yet, but gasoline and propane operation is very convenient. Operation on both fuels easy and reliable. Defiantly a great purchase for job site and emergency power.

Love the Tri Fuel option

I recently purchased the WGen10500TFc. Although I already have a gas generator, I loved that this generator had the Tri fuel option. I am tired of the hassle of gas….stabilizing gas, draining and cleaning carburetors, etc. I plan to use the propane option. This generator came with wheel kit, battery, and even the propane hose/regulator setup.

Bells & whistles

We bought this for our home as storms were forecast on their way. Minimal assemble that was easy to do. It should have plenty of power for most of the essentials and then some. Or use off site for the camper or backwoods cabin. Come with both 30&50amp, whichever fuel is accessible, USB ports, and 4 gfci holes.

Looks perfect

Got this for our new home in case of power outages. Haven't used it yet, but this thing is a beast! I'm thinking it will run the whole house, not just a few lights. Built really well, nice set up. Kind of looking forward to using it.....sort of. Cost is great compared to a 'built-in' unit.

13,500 Westinghouse tri fuel generator

This purchase was the result of extensive research on generators of this class. I was specifically interested in using propane, which I have used for over 10 years on a previous slightly smaller generator which still works, but I wanted the more advanced Westinghouse features of this model. we live in a very cold winter area in Connecticut with many power outages over the years. In particular I like the remote start options and have an automatic transfer switch system installed. I look forward to many years of fine service with this excellent machine. Regards. —-KJP

Great Features

I just bought this a month ago and so far am very happy with it. We actually ordered the dual gas generator but they upgraded us to the tri generator. We have not had a chance to use it yet (thankfully), but we have had generators before and this one is the nicest and easiest so far. Very happy we were able to get this at a great price too.
