Cleans more thoroughly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First front loader I’ve had at home has larger capacity and gets clothes much cleaner than the agitator I had. Great investment ..wiping the gasket to ensure its dry is small price to pay for a superior wash

quiet operation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dryer and a matching washer and have ben very happy with both. The dryer has a steam cycle that helps reduce wrinkles. It is very quiet and we haven't experience any vibration even when fully loaded. Large capacity is a big improvement over our old (15 yr. old) dryer

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very happy with my new LG dryer. One feature that has been wonderful is the steam cycle. Really works nicely on items wrinkle or just need a little refresh. I highly recommend the LG dryer.

Extremely efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am completely satisfied with the performance I have experienced so far. I particularly enjoy the dryness sensor that saves operating costs. I have used the steam feature a few times and it really works well.

Some little annoying things but overall good

We just got a new dryer and replaced an 8 year old LG dryer that was very similar to this one. This dryer is loud with a vibrating/humming noise that stops when I lean on top of it. It drives me crazy. I would have liked the light to remain on when you open the door, even if the actual unit wasn't on. If it's dark and I don't turn the light on in the laundry room, but need to look for something in the dryer or toss a load in quickly, the old LG dryer we had would have the light on just with opening the door. I guess this might be an energy-saving thing, but it is annoying. I would have liked having the option for the steam care settings to have the basket that pulled out like the other model we had, so I was surprised when I saw this one NOT have that. You have to hook it up to the water line and we were not going to go through the hassle of splitting the water line from the washer to the dryer. Had I realized that, I wouldn't have bought this model. The picture on the site makes it look like our old model, which has a pull out drawer on the left side where you can easily add water to the tray and do it that way, but the one we got doesn't have that and looks different on the left side.

Great Features and Larger Capacity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since we purchased this washer only a month ago, my wife has enjoyed using it. It is really too early to provide an honest assessment on the washer and its reliability in the long run. It seems to be working very well.

LG Smart Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the unit so far. Big upgrade. The steam technology is very useful on things like throws and blankets. The unit communicates with the matching washer to time out finishing the cycles. Would recommend.

So Far, Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did a lot of research while searching for a new dryer and am so happy with this purchase. LG came very highly rated by consumer reports and so far it works very well and actually dries our sheets 100%

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dryer a few weeks ago. I have enjoyed it so far. It works great. Drying time seems less than my old dryer. I have tried the steam feature but not sure of it. It freshens the clothes but leaves them damp when the time is up. I probably won’t use that feature much. I hope with a hose under pressure won’t cause trouble in future years. But so far, I am very happy with my new dryer.

Good product with some flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer and matching washer were upgrades to a pair of front-loaders that were 15 years old and no longer operating in an ideal fashion. I was going to choose the 9000 series Signature pair but our laundry room doesn't have enough space to fit larger machines. As it is with the 4000 series, we now have larger total capacity in frames that are the same size as the outgoing old pair. The quality of these LG machines is apparent. The tubs, chassis, and the rims around each tub are solidly built. The dryer works quite well on most automatic settings and senses the dampness level of clothes, increasing or decreasing cycle time appropriately. Having degrees of "low" or "high" in the heat level is helpful. The number of options for types of clothing is also helpful, but my complaint is that many of presets don't allow for any changes. So, for example, you can't use the "Normal" setting and change the heat. You can't use the "Steam Fresh" setting and change the time other than presets of 3 and 8 minutes. The only way to fully control the dryer is to use the "Timed Dry" setting, which is not the most efficient use. Overall, this is an excellent dryer that looks great, is well made, has a number of good features such as adding steam to the drying process, but the level of customizability and flexibility with the controls is not what I'd like it to be.
