I did lots of research and found this to be the best model for me. It has worked wonderfully and dries the clothes much faster than my 23 year old dryer. It has features that make it easier to select the proper cycle for the load. Storage drawers are bigger and hold lots of items for easy access.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer was purchased to replace our 2011 DLGX3876V. Although very similar in features, the DLGX4001B does dry faster and the dryness sensor is more accurate. We chose LG again because of its continued lead in reliability and performance over other brands. One thing was not improved upon was to backlight the control settings. They are very hard to read except in bright room light. I also wish that on a dryer of this class that the display screen was LED rather than of the segmented type. Certain numbers and letters can be hard to read on this display. Finally, the steam function on this new dryer uses plumbed water instead of a user-fillable water tank. I have some concerns about using plumbed water, even softened, versus filling the tank with distilled water. Hopefully mineral buildup won't be an issue. Three quibbles on an otherwise excellent dryer.

I consulted Consumer Reports when I was shopping for a new washer and dryer, and LG dominates the top of the ratings, so I felt very confident in my purchase. I appreciate the feature that uses wifi to pair the dryer settings with the washer, so all you have to do is turn on the dryer, load the laundry, and push start! I also like the large capacity size, the suite of features, including the steam features, the drum light, and the ability to stack on top of the washer. The ThinQ app is also very useful because it sends you alerts when the cycle is finished, and gives you reminders on when to run the tub clean cycle in the washer and if your vents need cleaning for the dryer. Highly recommended!

First brand new dryer I received didn’t work. Had it replaced with a brand new machine which also didn’t work. Called LG again for help and was told that this is a “known issue.” Their “fix” didn’t work so we returned our washer AND dryer and purchased a different brand. It was a huge hassle and I won’t buy LG again.

Takes ages to dry properly. Msged LG when I purchased it but they never really addressed anything. Finally LG sent someone to look at it and discovered an electrical issue. I had an electrician look at it but it still has the same problem. Seems like LG is just not taking responsibility for a faulty machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had our dryer vent outlet cleaned by a professional prior to installation. We repeatedly get dryer blockage errors which shuts off the dryer. While I appreciate this safety feature, I do not enjoy having to clean the minute amount of lint from the dryer screen in order to use my dryer.

It dries the clothes in a timely manner and the steam fresh option is great when you leave the clothes in there for an extended period of time. Numerous options are available to choose from.

The dryer door let's the lent collect around the seal instead of the lent trap. They brought me a replacement, and it does the same thing. They then sent out a repair man who was a joke. With out even really checking it out, he said it was a manufacturing defect . And I'm stuck with a defective product. Not pleased at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine so far. My wife was upset because it lacks a drum light but otherwise it has more features than I think we can even use. The test will be if they live up to their hipe. It is quieter and faster than our other one, though, and wash quality is very good.
