Washer & Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the set since my dryer had broken down, and I am extremely pleased. I am so glad we decided to go with the LG brand, versus other brands. The ease, the quality of the wash and dry, and its very quiet. Couldn't be happier with our purchase! Thanks LG!

Take The Dry Road

My wife and I love our LG dryer. Dries clothing first time every time. Has easy to clean lint filter . Perfect capacity for our needs. Has a pleasant chime to alert you when cycle complete. A lighted drum option would have been nice . That option only available on models costing approximately 200 dollars more . Was not a deal breaker for us . We purchased base/ drawer option which elevated appliance to great work height . Machines are deeper than our previous premium washer and dryer . Great purchase. Very satisfied.

Horrible Dryer- Do Not Buy

I ignored everyone's feedback about how bad this LG front loader dryer is after purchase. It has an airflow sensor which is malfunctioning; just like everyone said. I have hired a technician to look at the dryer to insure that the exhaust hose is straight and without a kink. We have also had the exhaust to the outside cleaned and inspected. Just like everyone says this dryer's air flow sensor malfunctions. The new LG dryer replaces a former LG dryer with which we had no problems with the same air flow discharge setup. Our old LG dryer work for 15 years with the air flow discharge system that we have. The greatest advice that you will receive here is not to buy this dryer.

Easy to stack and use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I bought this and the matching washer to have a stackable set in our small laundry room. We installed the stacking kit and lifted the dryer ourselves. I am under 5'5" and can reach all of the dryer controls just fine. Without reading the instruction manual on how to use the dryer, other than a quick glance, was able to figure out how to operate the dryer quite easily.

Stylish and sleek

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only used a few times, still not sure about the settings. With default settings, the clothes don’t seem to come out completely dry so may need to use some of the more advanced features to get it right. Prior experience with LG is very good, so we expect to be the same with this one.

Awesome Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this dryer delivered in August. The overall time it takes to dry a heady duty load is what I love most. Working in appliances at a major retailer, I was skeptical about purchasing anything LG, but due to availability during COVID, my hands were tied. It actually worked out better though. I really love my this was and dryer set.

Error codes after 2 weeks

I bought this washer and dryer set based on Consumer Reports reviews. I regret the purchase immediately. I should have kept my old 80s appliances, The dryer is giving a blocked duct code. Everything is brand new, no way are the ducts blocked, Trying to be a better consumer and wish I had my old working dryer,

Not too fancy, but works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this because I thought the heating element went out on our Kenmore (turns out it was a wiring issue in the wall, but the Kenmore was old anyway). The sensor mode never worked well on the Kenmore, so we always used the timer. This one’s sensor works way better. There’s occasionally a thicker item with a minor dampness, but if all the items are similar, everything gets dry without overheating. It also seems more efficient. This could be because I rerouted the vent which was apparently just shooting into the attic before. Now I added the side vent kit and vent out through the wall to the right of the dryer into the back yard. The kit was easy to install, but I wish you could just select which location you want the vent and not have to add the cost and work of adding the kit. It also gave me a blocked vent error at first even though the whole venting system was brand new and a short run. Resetting the dryer seems to have cleared that issue. The tune that plays at the end of a cycle is much more pleasing than the traditional buzz on most dryers. I do wish it had a light in the drum, but since the door switch failed on our Kenmore, it wouldn’t light up anymore anyway because it could never tell the door was open. It took some getting used to having to side opening door and we kept dropping items when pulling them out where before they would just land on the open door, now they land on the floor. This is a better design if you put a basket there and load the clothes into it. If you need to do a timed load, I wish there was an option to set custom times instead of the only 3 options of 20, 40, or 60 minutes. This hasn’t been too big of an issue since we pretty much only use the timer for the occasional item that doesn’t get fully dry in a load. All in all, I’m very satisfied with this dryer. My research told me LG tends to have the least failures in the first 5 years compared to other brands. Our Kenmore was somewhere around 10 years old, so I’m hoping to get similar life out of this model.

Pesky Lint Trap Flap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very efficient dryer. Using the sensor dry option, large loads dry more quickly in this dryer than any of the others I have owned. I like how it remembers the last cycle settings. The energy saver feature is a plus that I really like and use often. The tune it plays at the end is pleasing. There is no drum light and I do miss that feature, but I can manage without it. However, that pesky flap that the filter has to push through is bothersome. This dryer would be almost perfect if it weren't for that flap. When removing the filter, some lint gets pulled off by the flap and falls to the bottom of the trap. When the filter is reinserted that lint gets compacted and eventually causes the filter not to seat properly in the housing. Clothes get caught on the unseated filter causing them to twist and tear. It is impossible to remove the compacted lint without disassembling the filter housing. Is the flap really necessary?
