I'm relatively new to drinking burnout, especially doing so slowly in order to appreciate the drink. I've found my first bottle of Basil Hayden to be a new taste to my pallet, but filling me with a feeling that reminds me of quality time with a good friend and an old soul. Cheers!

I was gifted a bottle for my birthday. At first, I planned on keeping it unopened because of the attractive bottle. It was love at first sip and it was a neat sip! I was surprised by the smooth slightly sweet taste. Needless to say I have replaced the "birthday" bottle several times. Also, I have recently noticed people requesting BH at bars and restaurants. I must say, it's very refreshing to see this brand take off without the unnecessary "celebrity" attachment and hoopla! Good old fashion branding!

I was given a bottle of Basil Hayden's as a gift in exchange for a custom bicycle I had built and given to one of my most respected partners. I cherished the bottle unopened, but when I finally opened it...and tasted it, I became a fan for life. I will always look for it on the wall of a fine establishment, enjoy it slowly with special people and cherish the memories it brings.....

I've been a Kentucky bourbon drinker for thirty plus years. While there are many fine spirits by the multitude of distillers throughout the state, in my humble opinion Basil Hayden ranks right up there with some of the higher end distillations. None of which are more drinkable on a regular basis.

Got this bottle as a birthday gift, so I was definitely excited to try it for the first time! Told my friend who bought it for me that I'd wait to drink it with him. After cracking it open and taking my first sip, I'm sorry to admit, he missed out! Definitely a smooth tasting bourbon, great for sipping neat, like I prefer bourbon. Had always heard great things about it, and I definitely was not disappointed! Will definitely add another bottle to my collection.

I'm 66 years young. Been drinking Wild Turkey all my life. A friend brought a bottle to my birthday party, when I opened the present I was thinking " boy hope this whiskey is as good as mine. Guess what? A 3/4 bottle of Turkey is still in the garage on the counter. What a great whisky!

Exploring bourbon in the UK is more challenging as we're limited in our choice. Had heard about this smooth bourbon from my local whisky dealer and he managed to get a bottle for me. First sip and I was converted. It has everything I want in a bourbon, complex, full of flavour and depth but wonderfully light. Am now spreading the word in UK and have given a bottle to all my close friends for Christmas! Absolutely wonderful!

At my oldest son's birthday party yesterday, they poured me a glass over ice. I got involved with the party and the granddaughters and left the glass on the counter for 45 minutes. Started sipping it and BAM! Never had anything as smooth and tasty. WOW!

Sitting on the back deck at the golf course watching the sun go down was my first taste of Basil Hayden. What a pleasant surprise. Aroma, taste , smooth after flavor. Had it serve with one ice cube. It has been my go to drink after golf . My only regret is having told others of this bourbon, now the bar manager is ordering extra bottles.

The best Bourbon. However, you do not need the metal BH band around the bottle. It looks like a COCO Channel woman's belt around the bottle. Men prefer something more simple. Also it probably increases your overhead. Trust your quality which stands on its own.
