I first bought this last June for Father's Day. It's has a fantastic aroma. I will continue to enjoy this bourbon. This bourbon doesn't bite it nibbles. It's delicious!

Basil Hayden is my favorite bourbon at its price point! I like it as a sipping drink, but I also love to throw it in a cocktail, because I think it's much smoother than other whisky around its quality, without the harsh burn. The finishing flavor is a little sweet and the bottle is cute, too.

“Basil Hayden: The Gentleman Who Crashed My Liver's Tea Party” Basil Hayden isn't your typical bourbon — it's what would happen if James Bond, a maple tree, and a cinnamon stick got together to host a TED Talk on smoothness. I cracked open a bottle expecting the usual whiskey burn, but instead it gently whispered, “Good evening, I'm Basil. May I interest you in some caramel and self-reflection?” Next thing I knew, I was sitting in my armchair like a Victorian poet, pondering life's mysteries while my dog judged me for wearing a bathrobe at 3 p.m. It's light, approachable, and dangerously polite — the kind of bourbon that could convince your grandma she likes whiskey now. It doesn't punch you in the face like some high-proof hooligan; it gives you a warm, approving pat on the back and says, “You're doing great, champ.” Pairs well with fireplaces, jazz, and pretending you know what “vanilla undertones” mean.

Basil Hayden's is a bourbon that truly stands out for its incredible distinction and elegance. From the very first sip, the superior quality and complexity of flavors are evident, perfectly balancing spicy notes with a hint of sweetness. It provides a very smooth and refined tasting experience, making it ideal for those who want a whiskey with character that is still easy to drink. It's a fantastic value for a premium bourbon!"

BASIL HAYDEN was one of the first bourbons i have had that wasn't out of the entry and super cheep whiskys. i was struck with a light and awesome drink and love it to this day ... if you are looking for a bottle to get someone into loving bourbon and want them to have a great entry mid level quality bourbon this is the perfect choice. its an extremely easy drinker and mild sweet finish that is amazing .. nose - is fruity slight corn and pepper spice / taste - touch of oak fruity slight sweet and vanilla with light burn and very smooth Finnish... one of my favorite to this day and will be a regular stock in my home bar for a great time to come.. Cheers all !

Sitting at a table of friends. One of us ordered Basil Hayden's Dark Rye. I had to ask. She started her comments and did the Bourbon swing shot. She put the glass in front of my face and asked me to "take a taste". One sip and my eyebrows lifted and were still lifted when I ordered my own glass immediately. It's been love ever since. The sweetest and tastiest Bourbon that ever crossed my lips.

This was the first bourbon I tasted when I decided to go down the whiskey rabbit hole. This is a nice sweet bourbon, as soon as it hits your tongue its a burst of spice, little burn , and a beautiful honey finish. Cant wait for the 10 year to release again!

I have tried many bourbons from price points of $30. to $200. a bottle but I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at the fine flavors of this bourbon. I will definitely put this bourbon into my top ten list. I was introduced to this bourbon by a very close friend who said,"You will not be disappointed by this bourbon." Thank you!!

This is a very Good Mid-Rang Bourbon. You can't beat the price and it finishes more like a 60.00 bottle. I always have one at home.

Maybe a little too smooth hahah! We took a bottle on a camping trip and it disappeared pretty quickly.
