I just bought two more of these Portable Mr Heater Big Buddy heaters to keep on hand for power outages. I’ve used them for years and have yet to have one to fail. They’re a great piece of mind knowing you can stay warm as they do a tremendous job. I use a 20# tank with hose run outside of the house for safety. The one pound canisters do just as well, but you burn though them pretty quickly. But either way they keep you nice and warm. Add said that it came with hose and filter, it only came with heater and hose. The filter is only needed if you use the 20# propane tank, but they’re pretty inexpensive. SAMs price beat everyone else’s price even without the filter . They’re very safe to use and extremely fast to get out started in a power outage. If using an optional 20# tank, you must have the tank outside your house as per directions. I love them, and I’ve yet to have one fail after several years of use. SAMs Mr. Heater Bug Buddy still comes with the fan than runs off 4 C batteries or 6 volt AC adapter which I understand is being discontinued, Not sure on that, But have read that from other sellers. I highly recommend the Big Buddy, very inexpensive piece of mind, and the best place I’ve found to purchase them is SAMS CLUB!

By the filter and connect to a #20 propane tank - it makes it so much easier to manage. This heater produces serious heat. We leave it on low at night and it keeps us warm in a 27’ RV. Not too hot and not too cold - just right. Even though it says for indoor use, we crack a window and have a carbon monoxide detector ready to go.

This was an upgrade to the same heater (brand) we have been using for many years. Our older model quit working so we chose this one and it lights instantly instead of having to click on and off to start the pilot light. It also has a fan on it to push the heat out faster and is optional to use.

I’m using the heater equipped with two one pound propane bottles in my two stall garage that is very well sealed against cold weather. I was concerned there might be CO gas from it so I installed a precision CO meter near it to check the levels produced. After 30 minutes of running it on max heat the CO level registered 00.00 which means to me that as they advertise, it’s safe to use it indoors.

Texas winters don't normally require a secondary heat source -- unless there's ice and incredibly cold temps. 2021 just about killed me. Surviving 2026 snowmaggedon just fine with this heater!

What a fantastic asset to my friend's garage where she spends time always make sure you have the filter and you clear the propane lines, which means you turn off the propane tank while it's still burning.

I've been using this heater with excellent results. I originally bought a smaller model, but ended up needing to purchase the fan and adapter hose separately—both of which are already included with this one at a much better value. The fan even comes with an adapter so it can run on batteries or be plugged in. Overall, this is a great heater at a fair price.

This is a great little heater which will drive you out of the house! It works so well! However, a major drawback is not having a thermostat. This is a big problem IMHO.

This heater did seem to be decent as far as heat output and it is pretty neat how portable it can be, it fell short for me though. The one we got had a bad fan and only worked the first time we used it. Also this comes with the hoses to connect to a 20 lb propane tank, but it seems you also need a fuel filter (from what I can tell you are supposed to have that when using a larger tank) which has to be purchased separately, which is annoying. I returned it and went with something else, but had the fan not stopped working I think it would have been a decent heater.

I purchased this product and it was supposed to come with 8 foot hose and electric AC adapter and the only thing that was in the box was the heater itself. It has been a complete hassle for me to get this straightened out and I will no longer order from walmart.com.
