We have used ECOS for years with satisfaction. This product is not a good substitute; it contains a chemical that causes a skin reaction in our family - perhaps a chemical analog of formaldehyde? I will be returning this to the store. I am covered in tender, sensitive pustules.

The smell after the clothes are washed, is horrible, to me at least! Some things I can just keep using and live with whatever is wrong until I run out, but not this. I'm headed back to Sam's to return it tonight to get something else so I can rewash everything I washed. The detergent smells fine when I open the container and take a sniff, but after the clothes are washed it's so bad. They smell whether they were hung dry or dried in the dryer. To me, it smells like wet dirt or moss, or something just not quite right and definitely not a smell I want to smell on myself all day in my clothes. I know not everyone has the same sense of smell and can smell the same thing in different ways, but I can't believe no one in product testing of this didn't notice this after scent.

Thought I would try this detergent but I am not a fan of the smell.

Clothes get clean and smell great! I'm washing clothes for a 4 yo, 2 yo and 1 yo! Nuff Said!

It was okay but not the best I have used. The powder was better but no longer sell it.

Good product, clear no dyes, natural lavender that doesn’t irritate my daughter’s skin.

Not as good as the plant based detergent that Sam’s used to carry. But it is fine.
