Schwinn Trike

The seat it comes with is very hard and small. There is no 'foot' brake or pedal brake. We are purchasing a different seat for this bike. It is great size wise, for someone 6'3 " and about 115 pounds. It is easy to get on and off of this bike. It was purchased for someone with mobility, muscle tone issues that can't ride a regular two wheeled bike. There was a delay in receiving it by about 4 days, and where we picked in store delivery, we had communication problems with that store to get it assembled. So far it is ok, its been taken out once at the time of this review.

Very Nice

Perfect trike to pedal around on. My purpose is from flat ground, not sure Id like it up and down steep hills. I take a large dog nd feel much more secure on the trike than a bicycle. The basket is great I put another smaller dog there and we around the neighborhood for exercise. It did come with a small ding in the fender, but oh well. I wish the brakes were a slight bit better, but they work, it does have a park brake. I would buy it again.

Great Bike

I haven't been able to ride but once so far, but excited about taking it camping. It was assembled by Walmart which took 2 days, and then the second day it was home, the tube blew in one of the tires. So, needless to say I can't give a lot of feedback. But it is very well made, and appears to be a very good investment. I cant wait to pull my Boston around with me in the campgrounds.

Nice trike

This is a really nice trike. Assembly is relatively easy if you are handy, but the instructions are not overly clear. Getting the rear fenders to fit without rubbing was difficult and brake adjustment is a bit hard as well. Once together it is really nice. My wife loves it. Deducted one star for the assembly issues and directions.

Hope you have alot of free time!

The bike is very sturdy. You need all metric tools to put together. The fenders especially the back ones need better way of attaching. The 3 arms that come down to hook on the frame do not line up very good. The back brake needs to be improved. I myself would rather have the coaster brake system. Good bike for older people that has a balance issue. Easier to get on and off without falling. I took our bike to a bike shop because of the back brake. He told me we did a good job on putting it together. Most people he said bring it to me in a lot of pieces. It's easier if you have two people to put it together. All the pieces was in good shape. Packaged very good. The basket could have been made better but probably won't be using it.

frustration

I wish I had been given the option of picking this up at the store already assembled. it took me 3 days, the holes for the rear fenders don't line up, the front brake isn't like the one in the directions. the major problem though, I have it finally put together, and the pedals turn, but the chain doesn't engage the rear wheels.....the pedals just spin! but when the bike is turned over, the chain DOES engage the wheel.

First off, this bike made me create words I didn't know existed while assembling. Definitely worth having two sets of hands to do. Peddling is a dream! I haven't rode a bike for a few years and once assembled took it for a quick ride around the neighborhood, approximately a mile. While my preteens were winded and giving up (and wondering if I was a robot), I had no trouble riding up hills and uneven surfaces. We even did a little offroading on loose gravel/dirt with no trouble. The seat is comfortable and the basket makes for easy carry of drinks and such. I definitely see many miles being put on this bike.

Not for us

We bought this for my dad because he no longer drives. The parts are cheap, and the fenders kept rubbing on the tires no matter how much we adjusted. The alignment was also off no matter how much we adjusted that, too. The pedals would get stuck making it very hard to get anywhere. This also took much more effort to ride than a two wheel bike. Was hoping it would be easier for him, but it was actually harder. Not sure if that's with all tricycles or just this one because of the quality.

nice bike

Shipping box had some damage. After assembling the bike I tried to put air in the front tire and due to the shipping damage there was a splinter from a packing board in the tire and tube. Took off the tire and rim and had a new tube put on the wheel. Contacted the number in the manual and they said they would send me a check for the repair upon receiving my receipt. I am fairly handy and have tools and had no problem with the assembly. Wife loves the bike and it pedals very easily.

Perfect bike for my mother-in-law

I got this bike a few months back from my mother-in-law she used it a couple of times and I had to keep readjusting the rear wheels so the chain wouldn’t keep falling off but besides that his bike has worked really good and it is very comfortable for her to use no complaints from her
