Available in other colors - despite Cherry

I love my mint-green Trike! The trike comes in a large box and is packaged and wrapped pretty well. Assembly is simple to do. The rear trike axle assembly does need a little force to be applied to fit into the frame, but it's still simple to overcome. The rear fenders might be a little tricky since they like to move off their alignment over the tires, but some careful coordination will make it possible for a one-person assembly job. I have seen assemblers use grease on the handle-bar neck tube, but I have assembled bikes for 40 years and prefer using no grease, so the steering direction alignment won't slip or tempt a user to over-tighten the allen-hex screw.

A great adult tricycle for the money!

Love my new tricycle had it sent by Walmart to Big Daddy's Bike Shop And was assembled here in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida my husband rode it home for me! I immediately jumped on to ride and was headed smack dab in the middle of a palm tree and lake beyond! My husband is screaming use the brakes on the handles! I did and finally after a few minutes I get the hang of it! The steering is very sensitive! But do keep in mind I haven't been on a bike in 55 years and suffer from Parkinson's syndrome! I am learning my mental ability seems a little slower at 75years of age! But I promise you by the time I leave here I will have it down pat!

Nice bike for the $$

Purchased this bike for my 87 year old father. He likes it! He and my mom (she has a similar bike) ride twice a day around their park. He doesn't have any issues with it thus far. The fenders are a bit flimsy and had to be bent back into shape so they weren't rubbing on the wheels. This bike has to be assembled. It took my husband about two hours to assemble. It was easy for him as he's quite the handyman. I'm sure it would have taken me much longer and I don't know that I would have been able to adjust the brakes correctly.

impressive adult trike

The trike seems to be of high quality.the aluminum parts include the frame, cranks, wheels, stem, brake levers, seat post and clamp.the forks are steel, which is perfect for the electric wheel that i installed.the trike has a huge rear basket, which is nice since a sizable battery sits there now with plenty of extra room.it's the best trike i could find and has a lifetime warranty.you can't go wrong with this one.

Super fun on flat roads

This bike is so much fun! And the basket can hold so much! I ride my little chihuahuas around in it :) I got the mint color and it is really a pretty color for a bike (very coastal/beachy). HOWEVER, this bike was designed for flat beach towns. The bike is very heavy and has no gears, so if you live in a hilly area, this is NOT the bike for you. Also, consider having a bike shop assemble it for you. I had some issues with a faulty brake (not a big deal, but took me hours to fix).

My local store was able to assemble the bike for me since I delivered it to the store. That is a great bonus, however three of the fenders had dents and the seat is very squeaky so I will be returning it. I bought a new bike and it looks and sounds a little like a used bike. I may re-order but I am not sure yet.

AWFUL ASSEMBLY

I'll have to come back and revise this review once I can actually ride this tricycle. First of all, it came with the wrong screw to attach the front fender (huge problem, because you have to attach that before the front wheel.) Secondly, all the screws to connect the rear fenders and the basket are so tightly screwed into the tricycle to begin with that they are impossible to remove. I've assembled 85% of this, and I have to pay $75 to have someone come out and complete it because it's simply not possible to get them out. Additionally, the front brake cord had a small metal clamp (I presume to stop the brake cord from sliding out) that slid right off at the first movement and then completely broke. I'll have to pay to get that fixed as well. Lastly, the instructions are TERRIBLE. For such a large corporation, you'd think Scwhinn could do some market research and get these instructions fixed so that they actually make sense, include important details and have the illustrations actually SHOW what you need to do. Completely asinine. I truly hope this tricycle is worth all the trouble and fun to ride, but I won't be able to properly review for a couple weeks with the assembly specialist can make their way to me.

Hi Erin, We noticed you've had some trouble assembling your trike. Your local Walmart may have a bike assembly service, if they're unable to assist you, we recommend checking out www.velofix.com. We are also here to help Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CST. If you received the wrong parts, your trike has a limited lifetime warranty to cover those parts and we can get them sent directly to you. We can also do a reimbursement review for the assembly if you will forward all of the receipts to us. Call 800-626-2811 or email at customerservice@pacific-cycle.com. Thank you, Jessie

Returning it

Easy to put together but DON'T waste your money, Schwinn is not what it used to be this bike is looks nice in the pictures but it cheap looking in person, the handle bars are a poor grade metal and have some cloudy film on them and were scratched up pretty bad, the basket is flimsy, the fenders are made out of nothing more than a soda can. Not worth $300. It's getting returned.

Great experience

The bike arrived sooner than expected and that was much appreciated. It was fairly easy to assemble. It feels solid and is comfortable to ride. My little Chiweenie loves to ride in the basket on a fluffy blanket of course. The only thing I would change if I could is that I need more resistance on the flat roads. It feels like I'm pedaling super fast to get anywhere but that makes it easier for the hills. I love my bike!

Love it!

Love my trike! Hired someone to assemble, so not sure if it was difficult. It took me a few tries to get used to it, so dont give up! Third time was a charm. You need to use the handle bars and not lean to turn. Its great exercise and I feel much more stable than riding a two wheeler. Takes more strength since its heavy and only one speed. Looks cute and gets lots of compliments. Only complaint is the fenders were slightly bent so I had to stick a folded piece of paper behind the spokes so they wouldnt rub on the wheels. I understand you can just take them off if you prefer.
