Amazing bike!

It was fairly simple to put together. It's heavy and bulky, but super functional! My autistic teenager has never been able to ride a bike because of his lack of balance, until NOW! This bike has opened up a whole new world for him and given him so much freedom and confidence! It's a little hard to ride up-hill because of its weight, but otherwise, it's a pretty amazing find! Very happy with this purchase!

Good

Tricycle was a little different then a bicycle because all three wheels are on a different plane. Gets to the mail box and back; and big commits by the nieghbor that they all like it. I bought a power front wheel and wanted to try it on a tricycle. cool!!

Christmas Gift

I went to our local Walmart and asked for assistance in the bike dept. Ben met me and told me he had no adult trikes but if I ordered it "Ship To Store" he would build it for me. Shereen was also helpful in giving me information regarding ordering on line. We pleased with their professionalism:-) Picking up the bike was easy and it was beautiful. I got the silver one for my husband. The large basket comes with the bike! It's very spacious and I'm afraid someone will try to get in it for a ride. Two people have ridden it and mentioned the same thing....turning the tricycle feels very awkward because you can't lean with the bike. My husband almost clipped the back wheel on the curb because it's a tricycle and not a two wheeler. You know it is but you forget the back two wheels are two feet apart.

Solid Trike

I bike year around daily and use trikes only in the worst part of winter when the streets are iced over or covered with a slippery coat of snow. I've had many trikes - the heavy industrial shop type, the older Schwinn Town & Country's, and some the other lighter new trikes. I was skeptical about the Schwinn Meridian because it was not very expensive. Decided to give it a try anyway. It has been a great choice. The best trike that I have had. Love the 26" wheels. These are built as trikes from the start, not a conversion as many other trikes are. As a result the connection between the frame ant the rear axle part of the bike has 4 large bolts instead of the normal 2. It rides better than any of the previous trikes I've had - feels very solid yet it does not have the weight of the industrial trikes, which can be hard to peddle up a hill. The seat is able to extend quite a ways to allow my legs to be fully extended at the bottom of the stroke (I have a 32" inseam). I usually sell my trike in the spring every year. Not this one.

Fun Joyful Ride

After several years of dreaming to have this bike I finally convinced hubby. It took 8 months for me to get lucky enough to snag it in stock. I signed up for the alerts but still managed to miss it so be really patient! Its worth the wait! Hubby said the instructions could be a tad better. Takes two people to fairly easy assembly. You have to have some patience with assembly as well. Im just loving Phoebe and have already taken her out twice in one day. She is different from a normal bike. You have to keep both hands on the handlebars. No freehand riding. Purchased so that I could take our mini dauchund along on rides. She is only 16 pounds and the basket is the perfect size. Her bed fits perfectly in the bottom. As soon as I figure out a topper for it she will get to ride. We had no issues with craftsmanship or delivery. I hated paying full price when I originally saw it for much less but oh well. Phoebe is fun and stylish! Looking forward to owning her for many years to come. Love the color to pieces though I wish it was a bit more minty.

Beautiful Trike

I love everything about this trike! The color, the ride, and the size. I'm so happy with this trike, everyone is friendly and like to stop and chat about it. I've been riding it two days and now have two neighbors that will join me for my morning ride on our trikes. I had to add my own rear view mirrors for street riding.

Beautiful adult tricycle!

Love biking but since I'm on blood thinners I felt like I was at risk on a regular bile. So I looked around and found this adorable Schwinn. Like the large basket on the back so great for a trip to my local grocery store! And the hand brakes are fantastic. The mint green color is beautiful and different than what I've seen before. Seat comply too! But be aware it comes in a relatively small box so needs assembly. It takes an Allen key (along with other tools) so be sure you have everything handy before you start. Highly recommend!!!

Great value for a trike

Great trike for the price. Entry level trike that is sharp looking and rides well. Bought this for my mother-in-law and it looks great. Pros: - Decent build quality for the price. - Looks sharp. - Gear ratio appropriate for a one speed. But no big hills on this one. Cons: - Not hard to assemble but you have to read the instructions and it helps to have an assistant. - Rear brake is weak (but front brakes balances it out. Overall, good value overall. Haven't had it long enough to judge reliability.

Took a while to arrive and was a pain to construct

I'm not too bad at putting things together, but this tricycle had a pretty crummy assembly booklet and no how-to video online, so it took a bit longer than expected to get this constructed. That, and I needed some new metric hex tools, a different wrench and a better screwdriver to get this together. My old, basic tools didn't cut it. Maybe they should include the hexes? Another thing is, some of the screws seemed to be painted in and took a good deal of jimmying and WD40 to get loose. As this trike is aimed at older adults, it should be noted that someone weaker may have a lot of trouble loosening said screws. My other complaint is, it took about 7 days for this to arrive in the mail, though that is more of a FedEx problem. The trike itself is cool, now that it's constructed. It's heavy and sturdy and doesn't seem like it can topple over when riding it. This is relatively safe for an older adult who doesn't want to chance a two-wheeler. If you have the ability to use Walmart's free assembly option (you'd need a truck to pick up the trike from their store), that would be the better option.

Hey RocketMan, sorry to hear you had a bit of trouble with assembly. A video is now available on the Walmart listing that goes over assembly as well as on our Schwinn Youtube page. I will make our team aware of the issue that you had with the screws being tight. Thanks for taking time to write a review. We are constantly trying to improve the customer experience, so your input is important to us. Happy riding! - Schwinn
