I did all of the prep work of installing the sun roofs and windows. I also assembled the joists before hand. The instructions were great. My son and I worked together to put it up. It took us 4 - 5 hours. We watched some of the assembly videos also. Shipping through Estes was great. They arrived a hour and a half before the stated arrival time. The driver also dropped in our garage at the end of our long driveway.

Putting the shed together was a nightmare!!!! The instructions are horrible, the parts aren't marked, it's like you take a guess at most of the instructions! We had 2 thirty year old guys putting it together an they had just put together a Gazebo with no problem from another company, but putting the shed together is a big problem. If anyone purchase's this shed I would advice have the company assembly it!!!!!!!! We poured a 8x10 concrete slab for the shed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great building! Assembly was rather easy, after reading a lot of reviews saying how hard it was we were worried. The assembly instructions could have been better, one section was totally missing on how to assemble the door hardware but I was able to find a YouTube video on how to do it. Leveling the site before building is not a step you want to skip, you will regret it later! We did some leveling and had minimal trouble getting the doors to line up, but the included shims helped and we got it working.

Excellent quality, was delivered on time. The best deal? : Pay for setting it together. The contractor did an excellent job

The shed came in several boxes, many parts. The manual it came with had some parts labeled incorrectly, it took us 2 hours going through every piece to do trial and error to find out what the pieces we had were because they were labeled wrong (hardware in bags). However, we did have everything we needed. There was a hole in the flooring, it was definitely a manufacturing defect because the shipping boxes were perfect. It looked like the mold just missed a spot. We called Sams club, they referred us to the manufacturer, we called the manufacturer but never received a call back. Sams ended up sending us a gift card for the issues and we used that money to buy some epoxy to fill it. Doesn't look great, but we were satisfied with the resolution. Overall this is a nice shed. It took my husband and I about 12hrs total (2 of those going through the parts) to put it together. We did have to pull up the video instructions a couple times, but it wasn't too hard to assembly, just a little tricky with 2 people.

I'm pretty handy and do several projects around the house myself. This shed was designed and packaged with reducing cost in mind, not assembly. Every part of building was more difficult than it needed to be. It is doable, I just don't think it's worth the effort. If I were to go back in time I would get a competitor with assembly for the same price. I do not recommend this shed.

I recently bought the 10 X 8 shed. I looks Beautiful and easy to assemble BUT I regret to say that the metal screws and plastic don't mesh very well. Plus it is kind of flimsy. I hand screwed all screws and found it striped easy. Cause of that issue I noticed several water leaks...... I love this shed, the manufactures may want to instal metal grommets to prevent these issues. And Maybe add a couple of a metal support braces to help hold on the walls together. Just a thought!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I believe the Lifetime products are very high quality and we have enjoyed many of them in the past, however the assemble of the 8x10 shed was an extremely poor experience. It took many many hours over a 4 day period. I could not get the doors to line up and function properly and the last piece or two of the roof did not line up. So I am stuck with a set of doors that have have to force into position to get it to close. It is very disappointing. There is not service person from the store I can call and come and fix it right, that I am aware of. I did call and try. I highly recommend you pay the extra money and have the store assemble the shed. I further recommend to the company, that they only sell the sheds with assemble included. Sorry for the disappointing review, but I tell you my true experience. Oh, you may say I am an inexperienced person in this field of shed assembly. This may be true for lifetime sheds, but I am very experienced with homes and repairs and fixing up properties as I am a real estate property manager, who does much of his own repairs and have renovated dozens of homes in my life time. I am experiences in building. I have helped build several homes from the ground up. I will recommend this product to a friend, if they are smarter than I and pay for the company to assemble the shed!

I found instructions easy and well informed. Shed is well made, except I would add some 1x4's or 2x4's on the inside wall seams for strength. You must have a level base for the floor or the parts are going to be difficult to line up. It comes with a floor, but you need a level surface. Concrete pad or a wood framed floor are good suggestions though you could get by with grading the ground flat and level, but water intrusion will be an issue. When assembling the steel trusses, make sure the bolt heads are inside the truss frame with the nut on the outside, or the roof panels will not seat! I recommend adding door springs, strap or rope to prevent the door being swung open by wind and and slamming against the gable. This come with two shelves, and plenty of slots on the side walls and back wall to add more. The skylights are nice because they add plenty of sunlight in. I would buy again.
